Characters may start off with certain Skills from the onset and they can learn new Skills by levelling up. The Skills a character can learn depend on their class; after changing classes, characters retain all learned Skills, so by changing classes multiple times, characters can obtain many Skills at their disposal. A character can hold a maximum of 5 active Skills at once and players can freely select their characters' active Skills when outside of battle.
