Items from the first generation retain their Kill count and usage in the second generation (except the Tilfing, which has full uses if it wasn't broken).
If an item from the first generation is inherited, it will not be obtained, as described here, in the second generation.
The Tilfing (and Axes and Light magic because nobody can use them) cannot be inherited.
Unless stated, in the second generation, the substitute characters have the same items and events as the normal children.
