Because that's when the reinforcements stop.

You can squirrel guys away all around the map outside of ballista range and wait it out without ever being attacked. The only deployment slots I know you can't use are the four in the bottom-left.

Vulneraries are buyable in the shops around the forts.

Now quit being a baby and finish it.

. . .thanks for telling me how to get past this draft in a jiffy. I'll give it a shot just as soon as I'm done with another FE11 draft (I'm on the final chapter of that one). Geosphere ho~!

Woot! finished! Thanks to Integrity for pointing out there was a shop with vulneraries in endgame. I finished endgame in 9 turns. Horseman!darros got me those vulneraries and sent them to the convoy. After that it was just making marth abel and shiida slowly walk to medeus. Healing every other turn courtesy of darros (he died)...a moment of silence for the great darros, NO not the user lol. Parthia caeda and fake falchion marf teamed up on medeus. Marth barely had enough hp to survive a hit from medeus. My final TC is 176 turns. This was a fun challenge, although the rules could have used some work here and there...but still, this was fun.

Marth can, it's just the only guys who can tank the Sniper and both of the Archers are Jagen and Wolf. Jagen is needed to kill the Hero, and Wolf can't double the Archers. I'll probably just take a higher TC and have Marth go for the Hero.

Managed to get both in 9 turns. Deciding who to promote out of Cord or Hardin. Maybe I'll wait until the Gaiden to get some more levels out of them

Chapter 11 - 10 turns (117)

Promote Hardin, gave him a Wing as well for no good reason. Managed to get all the boosters.

Chapter 1 - 8/8

I had to restart several times because Jagen was being a dillweed and missing the very first pirate attack at 85% displayed. This happened something like 5/9 times. During one of those misses, I tried to go on, then Jagen died to the pirate onslaught (even though there was a perfectly squishy Abel nearby). Eventually he hit, and didn't die on the subsequent turn. I had him sit on the eastern fort until he could take two hits from the boss. Draug and Marth cleaned up after him. The original plan was for Jagen to land two Silver Lances in a row and have Marth deal the odd HP point of damage for the win. Here's how the last two turns went:

Turn 7 PP: Jagen misses the boss, and is hit. I send Marth to the village to get Wrys, who stands next to the boss.

Turn 7 EP: The boss attacks Wrys and OHKOs him. The Heal staff can be sold for funds.

Turn 8 PP: I have Jagen attack the boss out of frustration. He crits. 0_0

That was stupidly frustrating. I killed off everyone except for Caeda. She will be used to acquire things in the next couple of chapters.

Name Class Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res
Marth Lord 2.40 19 6 0 3 8 8 7 0
Jagen Paladin 1.90 Base everything
Draug Knight 2.10 21 7 0 3 3 1 12 0

Chapter 2 - 10/18

Wound up spending way too long cleaning things up. Had Draug kill off everything to the north for precious experience. Everyone else went towards the boss, and thanks to the "no having people hit after their join chapter unless they're magical" rule, I had to recruit Castor then have Caeda book it out of there. Eventually, I cleared everything, so two hits from Jagen and one from Bord finished this stupid map.

Name Class Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res
Marth Lord 4.00 21 7 0 5 8 9 8 0

Bord Fighter 4.13 22 9 0 5 7 2 5 0

Chapter 3 - 9/27

Grabbed the Devil Axe, which meant that getting rid of the boss wasn't too painful. Draug did lots of self-improvement up north, and I was able to off Navarre on the final turn. Bord got an amazing level.

Jagen's Silver Lance is down to one use. Mission accomplished.

Name Class Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res
Marth Lord 4.74 21 7 0 5 8 9 8 0

Draug Knight 6.16 22 8 0 5 5 3 14 0
Bord Fighter 5.97 23 10 0 6 8 3 5 0

Chapter 4 - 9/36

I think the classes should be self-evident. :P: Forged a +3 MT/+10 HIT Iron Bow called Iron+; I will be doing this a lot.

Lena recruited her brother, and stripped him of his lance (more selling~!) Recruited Merric, because Thunder's the best E tome I can get before Chapter 8. Had to go a tad more slowly because Bord was in danger of dying.

Name Class Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res
Marth Lord 5.79 22 7 0 5 9 10 9 1

Bord Hunter 7.13 23 12 0 10 7 4 5 0

Chapter 5 - 9/45

Had Merric recruit Wendell for his tome. The Wolfguard was very good at dodging - so much so that only Sedgar died. Marth whiffed a hit on the boss, then made up for it the next PP with a crit. Everyone else slowly but surely obliterated stuff.

Will be using Draug as a Dark Mage for the next few chapters.

Roshea Cavalier 3.80 Base everything

Chapter 6 - 12/57

Draug to Dark Mage.

I took this one cautiously, because I didn't want to waste my healing items. Draug was able to double the boss, and that made things much easier.

Chapter 6x - 20

Draug back to Hunter.

Not much to say here, except that Jagen was awesome as usual.

Chapter 7 - 12/69

This time, I forged a Steel Bow for all to pass around.

I figured that Bord's Strength and the Rapier/Armorslayer would be able to move this boss. I was right, even if it took me a bit longer (since a mage would be able to counter those stupid horses).

That's a far cry from acceptable, Roshea. . .

Name Class Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res

Chapter 8 - 6/75

Marth walks over and punches the boss out. Roshea gets a bit of arena love.

Chapter 10 - 14/98

One turn over the ideal limit, but it was kept because Jeorge found a way to increase his AS by two. I had problems getting the Silver Bow, but it worked out in the end. Didn't grab Physic, which bums me out. I could use the cash!

Chapter 11 - 12/110

Again, a bit longer than normal, because I've only got PP to work with and screw messing with the RNG. Regardless, got a couple of vital Speed levels.

A positioning snafu cost a turn, but just about everyone did really well on this map. Especially Marth.

I'm in a bit of a hurry, so just a turn list dump.

Chapter 13 - 5/127

Promoted Bord, so he can move faster and kill things with a Silver Bow.

Got Beck, who cleared the way for everyone else. Recruited Astram, and Midia the Bishop somehow survived. Astram didn't (I think it had to do with me putting him in range of the boss). By the time Marth needed to seize, everything that mattered was dead.

Chapter 14 - 7/134

Beck got his own Stonehoist. My Snipers accompanied Julian, my unpromoted guys went towards the archers, and Marth and Bord stormed the throne room. Had to wait a turn because Marth and Bord were just a tad short on firepower. I got the Silver Card (hooray for Jeorge doing a load of damage via forged Silver Bow) and the Bullion (he tailed the thief and killed him on the turn he got the loot).

Chapter 15 - 6/140

More Generics! Awesome~! I've got. . .NOTHING BUT KNIGHTS? THE HELL IS UP WITH THIS?!

I wound up using Draug a couple of times to keep Gharnef out of my case. Since Maria can never be used as an archer, I reclassed her to something that flies, and had her get my Energy Drop on turn 4. On turn 5, she sat on the spawn point, thus ensuring that she was never attacked. My Snipers went across the river to murder stuff, and everyone else did what they could against the enemy flying things.

Chapter 16 - 9/149

"Thanks for saving me, Princey! How do you like this sword sticking out of my chest?"

Beck killed the Fortify dude posthaste (forged Stonehoist had 18 MT and 60 HIT), then rambled south to kill everything else. Marth had some problems with the heroes and the resulting stuff from the south. I had to have Marth kill the boss, because he had the best chances of surviving (something like a 2% crit chance). He missed with the Armorslayer, so Jagen and Bord had to clean up (Bord doubled and did insane damage with the Silver Bow). Speaking of, went shopping with Midia, and got quite a few of them for a sweet price.

Chapter 17 - 3/152

Bord charged in, and got rid of an armor. Beck OHKO'd the mage. Minerva downed a Pure Water, then headed towards the VIP card. She killed the poor dude on the second turn, then had the card moved to storage. Thanks to some chaining, I was able to get the card to Midia, who flew to the secret shop to buy out their bows (same could've been done with Maria, so bleh). Silver Bow chip FTW. I also nabbed the Fortify for assets.

Chapter 17x - 20

Draug promoted and reclassed to Warrior. Everyone that I thought needed help got Longbows. It seems to have worked; I'm promoting Roshea and Tomas come next chapter.

Jeorge is still awesome~!

Chapter 18 - 8/160

Draug reclassed to Horseman

Marth died if I took this too fast, so I had to be creative with my other guys. I waited a turn so that Est would fly close enough for me to feather her rear (Beck wasn't in range).

Chapter 19 - 6/166

Nothing short of resetting for crits all over the place would've sped this up. No one doubled the Heroes, and in Marth's case, this saved his life. Got all the treasure I wanted to.

I'm currently on Chapter 20, and Horseman movement sucks. On the bright side. . .Parthia. Unlimited Parthia.

Dont go through the usual route of chapter 20 lol. You are in for a surprise. Its better to charge marth west so that he doesnt need to face camus and all those shitton of silver sword cavaliers.

I was able to make it through west, but it took something like 10 turns. . .and I really need that scene where I skip Camus. Let's see how going the other way works~!

Chapter 20 - 8/174

Thanks to SOMEONE who finally decided to cooperate, I was able to take out Camus (Parthia blicking). Marth ran left with Bord; everyone else went over the mountains. Lorenz died, because I'm good at getting class B units.

Chapter 20x - 20

Draug reclassed to Warrior.

My team is such that these guys weren't really giving me a lot of experience. I stayed as long as I did to get all the treasure (so I can sell it).

Chapter 21 - 7/184

Draug to Horseman; I needed the mobility.

This map is full of guys who hit for mid-20ish damage before defense. My biggest "tank" has 12 DEF (and about the only person who wouldn't be doubled outright would be Draug, but I still have to kill stuff). Thus, I slowly baited stuff out. On turn 6, Draug was able to run up and kill the boss. Thanks to my semi-turtling strategy, I was able to kill the entire map. Went shopping and got out of the way before reinforcements arrived, too.

Chapter 22 - 8/192

Draug and Bord to Warrior.

A moment of silence for my generic Swordmaster-turned-Bishop who dodgetanked a lot of stuff before dying. Beck proved that he was worth his turn cost by blowing up the two Fortify guys. Everyone else picked their way forward. I felt like a genius when a Horseman attacked Jeorge at range, leaving some scrub with a sword to attack Marth at melee. I managed to get Beck, Marth, Draug, Minerva, and Tomas in range of Michalis; needless to say, he went down very fast.

Name Class Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res
Marth Lord 25.54 39 16 0 14 17 25 11 2

Draug Warrior 10.20 41 17 1 13 24 11 8 2
Bord Warrior 9.86 37 21 1 18 13 8 11 1

Beck Ballista 18.10 30 9 0 14 10 12 18 0
Maria unused Out of archer/sniper slots

Chapter 23 - 9/201

Reclassed Draug and Bord to Horseman.

The top of the stairs is arrow guy, Gharnef (?), and some jerk with a sword. I guess I might've been able to take out Gharnef and the Sniper, but that would've left Draug out of commission for two turns. Beck killed all the long-range guys. Pity he doesn't double.

Chapter 24 - 7/208

I had to force Marth to gain Speed once, or he'd be doubled by a nearby Fire Dragon (though with a 50% growth and five levels of dynamic growths behind it, I figured it would happen more often than not). He weakened the boss, and Beck finished. Parthia was passed around like a hot potato. Map MVP is totally Roshea.

Chapter 24x - 17

I wanted Draug to gain two points of Speed and Bord to gain one. Luckily, it worked out. Now, what to do about the final chapter. . .

Name Class Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res
Marth Lord 27.76 40 17 0 15 19 26 12 2
Jagen Sniper 13.27 31 11 1 18 14 6 10 3
Draug Horseman 14.03 37 16 2 20 29 14 10 4
Bord Horseman 12.15 33 23 1 23 14 9 12 1
Roshea Sniper 11.39 50 17 1 22 17 7 11 3
Jeorge Sniper 12.21 28 9 1 15 18 5 9 3
Minerva Sniper 10.34 30 14 0 15 17 8 13 3
Tomas Sniper 8.95 40 12 1 17 18 7 8 3
Beck Ballista 26.12 35 13 0 17 13 16 21 0
Maria unused Out of archer/sniper slots

Endgame prep: Robe to Beck, 2 Books to Beck, 3 Robes to Draug, 4 Drops to Draug, 1 Book to Draug, 1 Icon to Draug, 6 Wings to Roshea, 1 Drop to Roshea. Hooray for loopholes in the rules that allowed me to shop with Maria.

Endgame - 9/217

The enemies hover between 39 and 40 HP, so killing them via Geosphere is chancy. It was necessary, to kill stuff on either side in a timely fashion. Once I got a run where I blocked the western reinforcements, it was a lot easier. Draug had enough durability to beat up Medeus for good.

Overall thoughts

Snipers/Horsemen are relatively frail, so reclassing one to General on Silver-heavy maps might not be a bad idea. It was interesting to see how player-phase only worked.

Character thoughts

Marth - Wrong run to suck, bro.

Jagen - He started getting good levels way too late in the game. Was otherwise useful because he was accurate.

Draug - He liked the Horseman speed cap; co-MVP for being really fast.

Bord - He had just enough speed to not be a liability. Being mobile was a plus, as was his insane strength.

Roshea - Started picking up midgame, and once he promoted, he never looked back.

Jeorge - He got an insane amount of speed, which kept him useful for a long time. His bow was helpful, too.

Minerva - If I didn't have so many earlygame units, she would've rocked even harder!

Maria - Due to a lack of archer slots, she was reclassed into a flying acquisition bot who was never attacked.

Tomas - Saw Jeorge, and decided that he could do better. . .which he did. Had a pretty good edge on Roshea in terms of weapon ranks for a long time.

Beck - Long-range was godly in this run. Co-MVP for helping to bomb things that my archer squad couldn't kill.
