Topazd
This came up with a quick search. I'm pretty sure there's a Maniac TAS WIP somewhere on YouTube as well. The mode still seems to be somewhat unexplored territory wrt LTC. Edited July 29, 2015 by Topazd
ruadath
Thanks! On a somewhat unrelated note, do you think this mode (due to the enemy density and possibly more experience) might be preferable over Hard for doing a transfer run (I consider Hard>Normal because of the extra Seraph Robe)? Or would the lack of BEXP compensate for this?
XeKr
Chiki and Soul have topics somewhere with some earlygame chapters. I'm gotten further and redid some earlygame (figured out some random/interesting stuff like healbush AI can be abused somewhat), but mostly...long animations + dat enemy density + bulkiness + other games are more interesting atm = hiatus. iirc the TAS (by braster, on Vykan's account) makes some questionable decisions like training nonmounts that I'm not sure lowers turncount/increases reliability, but maybe we're missing something. Still think Fliers+ some forge glitch thunder is probably the way to go. edit: Easy should be the best to do transfers, as long as your FE10 version can accomodate it. bexp is like 1/4 value and if you're slogging through Maniac for cexp, instead might as well boss abuse or something. ruadath
My FE10 can accomodate my Easy... but what about that 3rd Seraph Robe, hmmm? I would say that by itself is pretty useful, because face it, you probably don't use more than like 10-12 of the PoR units seriously in RD anyway, right? Radiant Dragon
Where is the 3rd Seraph Robe on Maniac, out of curiosity? The site lists there only be two available on Maniac, is the third on a reinforcement Raven in Chapter 12? Or did you only mean to say that Hard had an extra and not Maniac? ruadath
I assumed that the Seraph Robe from Hard would be present in Maniac as well, but I could very well be wrong.
Emperor Hardin
It'd be interesting to see the other characters fighting Ashnard with the S-rank weapons.
Aircalipoor
Your normal units can damage Ashnard on Maniac?
Emperor Hardin
Your normal units can damage Ashnard on Maniac? Thats what I've heard, but only with the S-Rank obtainable weapons. Edited August 1, 2015 by Emperor Hardin
sirmola
My FE10 can accomodate my Easy Nintendo let everyone send their disks in to be patched for free, so there are many copies that don't have this issue.
Lord Raven
If I get extra stressed during the semester and need a project, I'm going to try this out one day. Thanks! Or would the lack of BEXP compensate for this? No, unless you've got save states. Enemy density is crazy high and enemies are crazy bulky, you don't get much BEXP either. FYI here are some maniac mode stats: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=53514
