Tiltyu Posted July 30, 2014 Share Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) I just started a new game of Thracia 776, but when I got to chapter 4, a found a chest behaving in a way I've never seen before. When I open one chest, whether it be using Lara's lockpick or Makua's chest key... I get nothing. When I move my characters off of the chest, I can see that it hasn't even been opened. Why is this happening? I don't want to miss out on something good like if Leif's light sword is in that chest... Visuals because I can: Here's Makua, chest key and all (I tried this before her inventory was full, so just pretend that's not happening. I go to the chest... Nothing happens. And the chest is still closed. If anyone knows why this is, I would really like to know. Edit: Pics are a bit small, whoops. Icon of Sin Posted July 30, 2014 Share Posted July 30, 2014 Do you remember how many items you brought on Leaf and Rivis before going to this chapter? Were they full, empty or anything in between? I'd personally doubt the patch myself because they often end up fucking things up. Perhaps you also used a patch for a different version of the game. Tiltyu Posted July 30, 2014 Author Share Posted July 30, 2014 To be honest, I forgot to hand those two some of the items that I wanted to and only remembered once I started chapter 4, so I'm not sure what they had on them beforehand. I know Rivis got the two chests in chapter 3 and Leif was about 1 item from being full anyway iirc. Normally you can get four bonus items (IIRC an Iron Sword, a Javelin, a Rapier and a Vulnerary), but if you bring less than twelve items, chests won't appear at all. Possibly, I just feel like that would have happened in the other game I played a while ago before this. Pretty sure I didn't bring a full 12 items that time either. I got a javelin out of one of the four chests in that room, so I do think I'm getting some of the filler items. Perhaps the chests not opening correctly are the equivalent of them not appearing? If so, that's going to be annoying, considering trying to open the chest that won't open still costs me a use of my lockpick/chest key, and there's no way to distinguish it from the others without checking.
