B.Leu
Oh yeah, there is a pseudo-english version, forgot about that too. The RNG seems to be more lenient in FE8Girls, than, by exemple, FE7if, who tend to kind of hate your ass. Still very impressive though. 2% Crit with only 51% Hit. lonelyVoxel
Holy shit. Luck of the century. I should play the lottery. It's a shame that I couldn't use this in my actual completion in the chapter, since later that turn someone died. Oh yeah, there is a pseudo-english version, forgot about that too. The RNG seems to be more lenient, than, by exemple, FE7if, who tend to kind of hate your ass. Yeah, it's English enough, but it doesn't change a whole lot. It makes it so you have to mash Start each time a new location appears on the World Map, though, so if I had a choice I'd have just gone Japanese. I think the RNG in this game is fairer, and could possibly only call one number like FE1-5. Plus, 99% is the hit cap, something I think happened by manipulating something with staves. In any case, I'd like to have this RNG for a hack of my own. You have no idea how much hax there have been in my current playthrough. On a side note, Lyn can have more than 5 support convos in this hack. So far I have two A supports on her.

In this hack, everybody can support a of people, but I though that if one had more than five, it would crash. Lyn don't have that ? Weird. Lyn don't have that ? Weird. Apparently. She still hasn't capped her supports. I just so happened to notice it when I was looking at the weapon mastery levels of the 5x units. It was super weird to see, and I didn't know there is any sort of crash problem if a unit has over 5 supports. What I don't like is that there are no actual support conversations, just the message that the support level has gone up.

RandomSwordmaster
Ultimate RNG would be dodging a 99%, critting with a 1% chance of hitting with a 1% chance of crit, and then getting a perfect level from 5% growths across the board. Xtremekiwi
You do realise that Fe8 Girls does not have True Hit implemented? Yes, you got a lucky break, but then again 99% attacks missing tends to happen...quite often.

I actually like FE better that way. 1% is more like 0.1% with True Hit, right?

Converted to percent, that would be 0.001% I had to do a quick calculation for that. Do you think anyone has some sort of equation for this? Do you think anyone has some sort of equation for this? There's a giant table here. If that's not good enough and you want an actual function, I made one a while ago that approximates it within 2% and is a -lot- more efficient than doing it the real way, but it's still a bit much to do in one's head. If you want, I'll go look it up.
lonelyVoxel
I think that a function is easily derived from that table, but I don't really think it's necessary to have when all the information is right there. I'm glad that explanation exists. I think I like True Hit less now to be honest, but it makes tings a lot easier if you're a human player. Crazy Li
I'm too used to vanilla GBA FE where 99 Hit might as well be 100... it's not missing.

I'd like to see a dodge of that happen in vanilla. You also have to get to about 94% before the chance to hit dips under 98%

Though how many games use True Hit? Do they keep doing that in like Tellius and later? I remember the actual rates of hitting compared to the predictions felt a lot different in PoR than in GBA FE. lonelyVoxel
I haven't played enough Tellius to know, and it's been long enough that I don't remember, but I bet that True Hit has continued. I'm certain that it's in Awakening, and it feels like it's there in Shadow Dragon, but I don't know about 9, 10, or 12.
Upside-DownFish
True Hit was established in FE6 and has been in every game since.
Crazy Li
Really? Why does 80 HIT feel less accurate in PoR than it did in the GBA games then? Though low stuff like 30 HIT seems like it's more accurate in that game than it did in GBA...
