Welcome back to Let’s Play: The Last Promise. Alright, so, let’s see what’s on today’s list of things to poke fun about.

Poisoned weapons? Well, we didn't see much of this in FE7 so...this should be interesting.

Cia: Boiling the enemies alive in their armor is like...my #1 Kink.

Cia is one my favorite characters and will likely be getting alot of screen time. Part of the reason for this is because I was the one who sprited her portrait.
She's 100% my sprite work (even if she's not my character), so she's another special character in my eyes.

She's a bit lop-sided and Itsuke may be a better choice but I'm willing to see how she turns out.



He also has a blood fetish. Weirdo.

Mugging people with Althares is one of my favorite things to do. It's so unneeded. It make me wonder why we can't just loot the corpses when we're done.
I bet there's something unjust about it. Right?

Now whose this guy? Noah? A recruitable prepromote. Interesting, and his stats? It almost looks like he could go toe to toe with Cid.
It's a shame that we won't be using him a whole lot. But in any case, we'll see what we can do with him. Now how to recruit him...



The neighbor hood about five miles down the road looks similar to a Manowar album cover. I'd recommend staying away.

Alright so, visiting houses. I love how it's absolutely essential to chapter 7x's requirements that I need to visit the guy trying his best to get Elvis hair over there.

It's rather silly. There's not alot here, though I could have sworn I saw that woman before.

Yeah, that's pretty much how Cia turns out, which is generally one of the best characters for me.. Itsuke usually turns out poorly.

Alright so what happened here was I killed him and the game glitched. He Who Will Not Be Named is fixing it as I type. Cia got the kill instead as well as a nice Silver Sword.



Defense is good but, you know. After all those good growths this is okay.

Chapter 8

Welcome back to Siegfried's Excellent Air Ride! Oh No! Turbulence! Eject! EJECT!



I want to get off this suicide train! EJECT! Why doesn't the button work!

After this little stupid idea, Siegfried starts talking to Shon about the state of the world and how many of those who opposed Magnus or did what was right fell.
Those who betrayed their people and what was right survived and left their countries/provinces in the dark.

What do you do when the good fall and anyone left who can stand drifts towards the bad?



More or less.

During this chapter we have an unlock staff, keys we can use and a thief. There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to take care of what's on the map.



We're only allowed seven people so we actually have to think a little about who we want to bring with us.

Tamiko doesn't need the levels and we have enough vulnerably to last us a life time.

Noah is a prepromote and an EXP sponge.

Storm and Arthur are going to be coming in at much later levels... and won't be much use to us later on.

Shon is ahead of everyone else. If it were up to me I'd be benching Siegfried.



Well crap. Reinforcements?



Let's look at our prisoners. One of them has a unique class, one's a soldier and the other is a cavalier. Interesting. We'll see how this plays out.



Say what you want about the fact that she's a recolor, that touch up on her portrait is nice.

Mina is actually one of my favorite bosses in the game... You'll see why in a minute. What else can I say about her?

She's got some significance to the plot, she has a tie in with another character that is recruitable.

She's the only mage boss in Siegfried's mode and has a stealable Elixir.



Anakin sleeps alot. He has Haar Syndrome. Except Haar is a badass and Anakin isn't much of one.
Granted he definitely can sleep through anything and isn't appologetic about it.



Kelik gets revenge on us for "rescuing" him earlier. Traitor!

But seriously, those ruins you saw our mysterious scarred eyed man
at earlier were likely the ruins that Kelik is mentioning here.

That Blacksmith is likely Jacob. If you're paying attention is likely Jacob.

The question now is, what's going on with these two?

Chapter 9

Welcome back to my glorious Let's Play. It would appear the sky is dust now.

I love Anakin... He summed this entire playthrough up pretty well.

Okay. For this chapter we have to keep two units sat out. For this it will be Noah and Arthur. The reasoning for this is because
I wanted to use Storm in conjunction with Haas who appears on this chapter.

Noah is a prepromote. I don't use those.

Now for our formation. Huh what's this?

Liquid is Scary... Fortunately I don't think we'll need to kill him.

As for Haas, we'll be getting him soon so let's save some image room.

I've never used Haas but he's overall a solid character and so far has contributed quite a lot to the story. Now what I like about him is he has use this chapter.
Quite a lot actually. But he won't see combat due to the fact that he'll be an Experience sponge.

Our first Growth came fast. And this one is decent.



Seems our Big Bad is visiting. He seems nice.
Liquid learns quickly that he's just a human shield though.

Eh...I'm not terribly impressed but Speed is Speed. GOTTA GO FAST.



She gives us 7,000 gold pieces. We'll make good use of this next chapter.

Okay. So after twenty turns of this Rain horse crap it stops. By the by, there's an armory and a shop on this map.

I have been visiting and selling off things I don't need. It's part of why my gold count is so high at the moment.



GROWTH MONTAGE.

This happened because I put Althares in harms way, mostly to mug Liquid of his Elixir.



This is a long talk, but it's key to do if we want Liquid to survive. Essentially the two fight once.



A touching scene occurs and Liquid flees. I like Haas as a character and Liquid is well written.

Say what you want about him. I don't care. Liquid is okay in my book.



In an alternate time line. Cia murders him dead.



I MADE MY CHOICE! But seriously. On to the real scene.



I haven't forgotten Mina. =_=



I'LL MURDER YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

Anyway, Liquid's death/Escape determines how the chapter ends.

Inanna might have had her fill, but BOULDERMANIA II is coming down to Anakin and he wants to make sure that Universe Heavyweight Championship is kept on his person! THE BOULDER will roll over all challengers and CRUSH those puny men, brother!

Looking at the stats and comparing them to my own, they are pretty similar. Big differences are my Shon has a bit more Defense and Strength, and what happened to Inanna's Skill? Haven't seen it that low as a 20/1 Falco, Also, Shuuda got some horrible growths as well.

Course, with Tamiko, Cia and THE BOULDER, it'll be an easy journey for part 2.
