Setup information in the OP of the signups thread.

[spoiler=Important: Rules]1) This game is NOC. Do not talk to other players outside of the thread unless your Role PM allows you to. Do not talk to non-players unless they are IO, or me. This applies to mentors and mentees alike.

2) 72/24 hour phases. No nighttalk.

3) Hammer game: you require a majority of votes in order to lynch a player. If no majority is achieved, there will be a random lynch. Vote using ##Vote: Player format, bold not required but still useful. The ## is important so I can compile votals easier. Players only get one vote unless specified otherwise.

4) The game starts on Day 1.

5) No Lynch may not be voted for.

6) Players will flip their role and alignment on death.

7) Mafia must submit a nightkill each night. If they do not, the kill will be randomized.

8) If you are roleblocked, you will be notified.

9) Mafia may not use a role ability and take the factional nightkill during the night.

10) You may not self-target with any ability.

11) Mentors may post once per 24 hours, unless given prior permission. Mentors, use your discretion when advising your mentees, and do not try to play the game for them. If you take your communication outside of your Role PM's, make sure I have the details.

12) Mentors of the mafia have their own private quicktopic to screen each other, to ensure fair advising. They will have access to the normal mafia quicktopic.

13) Don't edit posts. One warning before modkill.

14) Don't be lame, and try to be civil. I will give out warnings if conduct gets dubious.

Alright, ladies and germs, I'm gonna pull a leaf from Bay12's book and start asking a few questions, to get a feel for playstyles (and, therefore, better reads later).

##Vashiane: Let's say you're Town Vigilante. When do you use your shot? On whom? Would you shoot N1, on the scummiest target? Would you wait until a later date, when you're nearly certain? What kind of poster would you shoot--a reclusive one, one that's crumbing a power role, one whose claims contradict another player's, or would you decide in some other way entirely?

Also, Public Service Announcement: this early in the game, before any real discussion, votes mean nothing and imply no actual suspicion. They're more or less random until there's game-related posts to actually discuss.

ZeeEmm seems quick to add a third vote onto Dudeaga, even though no real information has been produced yet. Didn't produce any valid reason to add on to Dudeaga's wagon.

Unvote## Pascal

I stealth edited in a thing about voting.

Vote using ##Vote: Player format, bold not required but still useful. The ## is important so I can compile votals easier.

Oh good, a chance to go for my first hunch.

... Assuming we can't vote for multiple based on Ciraxis's post?

In that case:

##Unvote: Dudeaga

This feels really bad to me. For one it is RVS so it seems p ridiculous that you would need a valid reason when it is almost impossible to actually get any info. It feels as if you are jumping to conclusions way to quickly for my liking. Also Dude only only has three votes, I would hardly call that a wagon.

Verily. You can cast but one lynch vote, changed as often as you like.

Also, pray tell, why would you have a hunch on ZM already? He's literally just cast one RVS vote and said he doesn't into Persona.

Given no other reason, I felt like voting ZeeEmm but they were already voted for. I didn't want to wagon, so I voted for someone else I didn't have a reason for.

Then they bandwagon'd on my vote.

I guess it doesn't really matter in the long run.

Seems scummy that you're inquiring about possible power roles this early in the game. It's far more important for the Mafia to identify Power roles, so they can kill them during the night.

Just because it's "RVS" does not mean we can just mess around and ignore the focus of the game, which is to identify scum and lynch them. Trying not to scumhunt during RVS allows scum to skim under the radar and to prevent meaningful communication.

Alright; that's a better reason than most in RVS. SUSPICION AVERTED.

1) I'm not asking if she has a power role. I'm asking what she would do IF she had that SPECIFIC power role. Odds of that: slim to none. Her answering what she would do if she had a power role does absolutely nothing but tell me about how she thinks, which helps me make reads on her, which is pro-town.

2) I'm not saying we shouldn't actively try to NOT scumhunt. I'm saying we need to take RVS for what it is--a stage where we have literally no concrete information and relatively minimal amounts of post to work with. It's the first couple of hours of the first day; relax a bit.

Another Public Service Announcement:

Please do not edit posts. There is a reason for this rule, and it's so you can't change what you've said already. If you need to correct something, doubleposting is perfectly acceptable (I do it all the time. oops)

I won't give warnings this time but please keep this in mind.

TBH I only jumped on the bandwagon since not really much is going on and the mood seemed kind of playful, with Enoshima-san voting for me due to my lack of Persona knowledge, and I just voted for Dudeaga with the mindset 'hey, why the fuck not?'.

Also Day 1 is always odd. When I was over at FFN, random votes for Day 1were common due to the game just beginning and no one appearing majorly scummy.

That's precisely why we need to scumhunt our hardest. RVS exists due to low amounts of information, and the best way to produce information is by asking questions.

...which I was literally just doing.

You've already contradicted your approach here--I'm scummy for asking a theoretical question, and I'm scummy for not trying to make something happen, which I was very clearly doing? Let's talk about that.

I even knew about the rule and still made the mistake...

That's it. Removing that edit button.

If anyone else wants them removed, please see this script. It will hide the Edit button for you on all Mafia threads.

Posting it in the Infodump for later reference.

Makaze!!!!!! I can have a better name now!

Anyway on to actual content not seeing how terrador was looking for power roles. Makaze actually deciding to jump of a "wagon" bothers me because if he was town why would he be so cautious being on an rvs "wagon" in the first place? It may just be makaze was messing around really but eh it isn't giving me good feels.

...

I'm an idiot.

CSS fix is much faster.

That's what I get for working too quickly.

If you installed it already, please reinstall. Just updated to work with dynamically created buttons, too (like when you post and it loads that post without leaving the page).

Sorry to clutter the thread (even if it's useful info).
