DOWNLOAD - The Grand Archipelago V1.1

(This is a Fire Emblem 7 project)
The patch contains:

- Chapters 1 & 2 (2 total playable chapters)

If the patch "doesn't match the file", click ignore, and it should patch.

Next Patch: V1.2
Changes

- Chapter additions

- Better story-telling

- Better dialogue (hopefully)

- Deleting cutscenes, instead, will be spacing out the development of each story in a better fashion

What To Expect:
- Completely original and new story
- A new continent and world map
- Added classes
- New portraits and characters
- New maps
- Semi-innovative style gameplay

- Multiple characters with the "commander" role

- Multiple stories to follow


In The Future...
- All chapters will be redone completely including map (the original Ch. 3 map will stay the same, but all chapters are getting a bump up with their number because there is no longer a prologue, therefore making Ch.3 the new Ch.4) and story (chapter goals and gameplay mechanics may remain the same)

Synopsis:
This story takes place in the continent of Archaeus, which is divided into seven countries, one desert, and the Mandabie Isles.

The battle between the rebel armies (Red Tusk and Cobra) and the royal army, HALO, has been going on for quite some time. However, the battle seems more one-sided, as HALO has different priorities rather than fighting these two well-known rebel armies. HALO has declared war on the northern country, Iovis, for undisclosed reasons. This war is more important than fighting the Red Tusks or Cobra, according to HALO. The Red Tusks use the fact that they are not the primary targets to their advantage in their hopes for an uprise toward power. But why are the Red Tusks after HALO? That is also kept quiet, but for a good reason. As more unfolds, laws are broken and created, deviation becomes more prominent, alliances turn on each other, secrets are revealed, savagery, plotting, murdering, kidnapping, marriage, and an outbreak of chaos arises, putting some unlikely people to the ultimate test of survival.

Unless I've done my math wrong, Nino is doing less damage than she should, does anyone know why?

I honestly cannot tell you exactly why, it may have been answered for you already with the previous responses, but I'm quite sure the throne is adding quite a bit of def/res.

The style between the FE7 and the FE8 mugs is really noticeable... Do you plan on editing those or no?

Not on my "priorities" list. But I will probably be opening up the option for others to help with little things soon and that would probably be one of them. I did notice that before as well, but I decided it was not a big deal at the moment.

The wind tome animation needs to be fixed. Part of it is a mess of random blue shapes.

I also found that as well. I should have remembered. I don't know why it started doing that... I'll have to reinsert that. Thanks

I found this funny bug in chapter 3. The cavalier that spawns after opening the gate will rush for the village in the top left and keep attacking it endlessly.

Edit: Also, I've just started chapter 4, and Priscilla is completely unequipped. Is this intended?

I found this funny bug in chapter 3. The cavalier that spawns after opening the gate will rush for the village in the top left and keep attacking it endlessly.

That's weird. Haha what the heck?? I'm glad you're finding these.

And no, I forgot to spawn her with weapons. I'm assuming you didn't recruit her on chapter 3? I will make sure I fix this, thank you.

So I'm working on replacing all of the existing portraits now. The reason why I didn't do this initially was because I committed so far into the game with the original portraits as a beginner "hacker", but I always thought of the characters as my own. Therefore, to use Nintendo/Intelligent Systems portraits doesn't feel completely right. I'm going to try and fix this for the future patches. Thanks!

hay Avril,

this FE7 hack is rather neat, good job on your first hack!

i started playing this sometime ago, and I'm stuck on ch 1,

i keep having to restart it and i keep getting stuck.

um, for ch 1 is it possible to:

1) get all charaters out of the starting cell?

2) when you enter/step on one of the upper cells for the certain charater, that "cell" closes, and then you need to oil some more baddies and get another "door key"

to open a new cell, but how can i know which of the 5 cells in the upper screen is for which charater?

trial/error?

3) also if i open the starting cell to let the last charater out, will more baddies show up so i can get keys form them for the cells?

also, if the one key that you get from the starting bandit had more uses than 1, let's say 6 (5 for each char''s cell and 1 for starting cell),

this would make the chapter more easier to finish, cause the one key usage and the weird progress in the chapter, i can't finish it, have trouble beating it :( .

other than this minor issue, the game is great i like the "mix" of FE7 + FE 8 charters etc.

looking forward to the next update patch!

hay Avril,

this FE7 hack is rather neat, good job on your first hack!

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

So in the instructions section of the chapter, it tells you that the bosses will tell you hints. When you fight them, they will tell you the hint. The hints are pretty obvious (hopefully), or at least I tried to make them that way.

I know that chapter is long, but I designed it that way because (SPOILER) you won't see those characters for a while after that one.

I watched some people play it, and indeed, it is a pretty difficult chapter. I don't think I'll make the multiple uses for one key thing, I'm sorry! Unless this chapter becomes a major issue, I can't change that right now haha. I will make sure I note your feedback, however. So don't think what you said is insignificant! I may change something on that chapter but right now I have other points to focus on.

This looks like it could be pretty fun. But why new portraits if it's our old pals?

I love our old pals too! I just think it gives me more room to be more creative if I have my own. I'm a little more limited with the original characters.
