Mercakete
What I actually said when I saw those pics: "Dude! Those tunnels are awesome!" I love the lighting, amazing textures and fantastic forming with those objects. I'm quite impressed. (That water, too, is freak awesome)
Shuuda
Thank you for your comments so far. Here is an update from the previous images. The scene now has more textures. Mercakete
Whoaaaa.... That is so awesome. Works great in stone or steel. =D
Shuuda
Here are more in development images for a new piece of scenery. [spoiler=Mountain Shrine] I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment.
Mercakete
Ancient Greek planetarium? That's a great concept. =D
Inactive Account
Raytracer appears to be having some issues, but then this is in-development so I'm not really worried by that. For the planet model (I'm assuming that's what the thing in the middle is) it might look nicer to make the supports for the planets a little thinner. Maybe that's just me though. Overall, it looks really cool.
Shuuda
Here are some updated images of the previous piece of scenery, with textures added. [spoiler=Mountain Shrine] I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment.
Mercakete
That's so cool. =D I love the marbles (planet things) and the gears especially.
eclipse
The reflections are beautiful. That planetarium is begging for someone to give it an epic song. . .
Inactive Account
Very cool. I really like the glass effects; you seem to be really good with those. I'm not so sure about the texture on the top of the rotunda though. It looks like pavement tiles, which is okay for the floor, but for a rotunda like that the stones would be placed in a different way. Otherwise, this is awesome! Shuuda
I've made a few finishing touches to this scene based on the helpful comments I got (mostly just trying a different texture for the top part). I also finished off by adding the sky as well. So, I present three new shots of the same thing I've been posting for days now. [spoiler=Mountain Shrine] I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment of course. Edited March 28, 2011 by Shuuda
Strawman
Those things remind me of Myst. At least I think thats what its called. They crazy long exploring game for the PC...yeah it looks like something from there. Very cool.
Shuuda
This is something I've been working on for a university project. It's been killing me all week, but it's turned out okay now. [spoiler=Images] I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment.
eclipse
I like her sense of style. . .but any other artistic critiques will have to come from someone that's not me. I'm terrible when it comes to people.
Mercakete
Very good. Though I'd say adding eyelashes and eyebrows would help. Also, smoothing out the feet a little but most importantly, eyelids. Her eyes are open so wide she looks horrified or undead or something. Lowering the top eyelid a little and having a small bit of the lower eyelid there would help a lot. Inactive Account
oh lord people are so hard to model Oh man, you articulated the hands, and they look pretty good. :D Face is kind of uncanny valley; like Merc said, I think eyelashes would help. Eyebrows might also, and it seems like the top of the nose is a bit wide-- not that I'd make the eyes closer together, but maybe thin it a bit. Also for the eyes, changing the shader might help with the "deadness", though I'm not sure how easy to do that would be.
Shuuda
Here are some images of the improved version of the character. Thank you all very much for your helpful comments. Mercakete
Infinantly better! =D This has become an amazing art. Great job! I like how you worked with the expressions too. You've made her very expressive: good job! (Man, that sounded redundant. XD)
eclipse
Fingers seem a little long in the first photo. . .can someone with better art sense than me confirm this/tell me what a fool I am? Otherwise, it looks better!
Shuuda
Here are a bunch of images of my animation project in development. [spoiler=Animation Development] I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment.
eclipse
That night scene is awesome! I also like the close-up of that lady's eyes!
Inactive Account
Eyes look loads better with the shine on them, much less creepy/dead. Only remaining thing there is maybe make the pupils a little darker on the texture? (I'm assuming you're using a UV map or something?) I really like that sunrise shot. Feet are a little oddly shaped... not sure what it is. Heels seem a bit squashed, I think.
Mercakete
Yes, this is turning out awesome! Though I agree with Kiryn on the heels. Though heels have a slight bluge away from the ankle, it is so slight that it isn't very recognizable. Darker pupils will also help with the eyes, yup. Shuuda
Thank you very much for the commentary. Here is a little something else, just for a brief change of pace for the thread. General Spoon
Here is a little something I spent the afternoon working on. [spoiler=All guns are sexier with scopes] I hope you enjoy. And of course, feel free to comment or critique. Yeah, something like this has already been done before.
