Assume Mareeta attacks somebody (who lacks Awareness) with the Mareeta Sword (brave effect like most of the viable Prf weapons in the meta). With the game's 1 RN system, the RN checks go like this: [attack begins] (check for Continue) (check for Shooting Star Sword) [first individual hit, whether either of the two above skills proc'd or not] (check for Moonlight) (Moonlight guarantees that the hit connects; if no Moonlight, roll one RN to see if one attack connects), then continue doing this for each individual hit. So you check for Continue/Adept and Shooting Star Sword/Astra before the whole attack, but for Moonlight Sword/Luna before each particular hit. For Galzus, you do it w/o the check for Continue. Don't bother checking for crits since all characters should automatically get a scroll negating all non-Wrath crits.

I did run numbers on this, but my notepad got wet and the ink ran.

I'm flying home today and will be home and ready to grind this match out in 12 hours. I apologize again for the inconvienence.

Can you post a set of RN-Calcs, as in, an order in which they occur? IT seems to me like:

[Life] / [Life]

{Initiate Attack}

[Check for Awareness on opponent]

[Check for Ambush on opponent]

[Continue]

[shooting Star Sword]

[base Hit RN]

[Moonlight Sword *Forces Base Hit RN to 0 if successful*]

[sun Sword]

[Charge]

[Crit] / [Wrath Crit]

[big Shield]

--Damage Calculation--

[Prayer *Forces 0 Damage if DMG>Opponent!HP]

[Repeat above if weapon has Brave effect]

Process Damage

[Repeat above if able to double strike via AS +4 over opponent/Pursuit]

Process Damage

{Initiate Counter Attack}

[Wrath]

[Check for Awareness on opponent]

[Continue]

[shooting Star Sword]

[base Hit RN]

[Moonlight Sword *Forces Base Hit RN to 0 if successful*]

[sun Sword]

[Charge]

[Crit] / [Wrath Crit]

[big Shield]

--Damage Calculation--

[Prayer *Forces 0 Damage if DMG>Opponent!HP]

[Repeat above if weapon has Brave effect]

Process Damage

[Repeat above if able to double strike via AS +4 over opponent/Pursuit]

Process Damage

This seems weird, as MS's activation may force a miss to a hit...why does it occur after the Hit RN occurs? Other than that, I'm assuming all else is correct?

Also, after looking at the order of events and how they flow, can SSS activate, and then have one of its strikes initiate a MS/SS activation? I don't really think that it would, but I want to make sure that these offense skills can/cannot multi-occur.

Yeah, each separate hit of SSS can activate Moonlight (and when it does, the hit is guaranteed to connect).

I find it hard to believe that these displayed hit rates are as high as they are, though. Are you sure you're checking supports for both hit and avo, and Charisma bonuses (including King's Sword) on both sides? Also, the Earth Sword doesn't have a brave effect and I'm pretty sure it targets defence at point-blank range too.

Hit should be around 70-80 when everyone has their supports and charismas still up so there's definitely something weird going on there. Right on both counts about the Earth Sword. Has Shooting Star been unbanned on Mareeta?

When the host changed, I asked him about it because it felt weird that Mareeta couldn't have it since she's the only one to be able to access this event.

Considering we typically assume endgame levels for our units, it only seems logical that a player would take a few turns to just have Mareeta get the skill.

Besides perhaps with enough interest we'll have a metagame with skill manuals and non-storebought rings.

You should check for SSS before the whole attack once but for Moonlight before each hit. Otherwise, seems correct.

While I still have the Charisma advantage on the field, I will have Galzus attack Ice Sage's Galzus with the Hero Sword!

Hoping for a miss + a prayer here.

BTW, Moonlight Sword should probably precede the hit because if it procs the attack will connect automatically. Might be one of those cases like Pavise/Great Shield where it doesn't really matter, though.

And here I was thinking you were the end-all-be-all of knowledge for this game!

What do you mean? If "not missing" is part of Moonlight Sword's description then it can't possibly be the case that you check for it on attacks that are sure to connect.
