Justaspriter
Recently I've been getting back into FE4 and wanted to play hacks. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for genealogy of tordo, fala, and other completed FE4 hacks. I have read the FEbinary and other hacks topic but it doesn't seem to have working links, and the one link at the top brings me to ux.getuploader.com/FE4/ which doesn't have the hacks I'm looking for. Are genealogy hacks just no longer available?
Lamia
here's several I found in some binary folders https://www.dropbox.com/s/6eg2qeeox2dmlx3/FE4%20%E4%BA%8C%E6%AC%A1%E5%89%B5%E4%BD%9C%E7%B3%BB%E3%83%91%E3%83%83%E3%83%81.rar?dl=0 from what I can see, there's inflation, genealogy of fala, narga, and dain, along with a bunch of other ones I can't read (also I recommend possibly getting interest into my own FE4 hack) Edited November 24, 2014 by Lamia

sirmola
i download the folders but when i patched fala to a clean FE4 rom it wouldn't play on my emulator. did i do something wrong? fe4 hacks have the annoying habbit of being zsnes only. I suspect that one of the utilities or patches was only ever tested on zsnes and thus results in breaking support for more accurate emulaters when applied or used. try all patched roms with zsnes as well as your emulator of choice. Celice
I've played all my FE4 hacks on Snes9x and some on bsnes, and no issue there. What ones are ZSNES-only that you've come across?

Lamia's hack (fire emblem online) is zsnes only, i belive.
Celice
Huh :o last time I played her demo, it worked on on 1.53 Snes9x. Dunno if things have changed since then.
Justaspriter
I always use zsnes and the roms aren't working. I also tried is on Snes9x but that didn't. On zsnes if I tried a clean rom then the screen would stay black. If i use a FE4 rom patched with the english translation it would actually start up but freeze. Do i have an outdated zsnes or something? I'm so confused Edited November 24, 2014 by Justaspriter
Crazy Li
As a last resort, maybe see what Mednafen does? Having an outdated ZSNES sounds odd since ZSNES hasn't had an update since 2002... Edited November 24, 2014 by Crazy Li
Kiddo
Peeking into this discussion at a glance, I suppose I should ask, are there any projects which are open for looking for a tester using the sd2snes, to have the game running on a real Super Famicom/SNES setup? Celice
Justaspriter, I've emailed you my archive. I hope you can find what you are looking for. In the meantime, try another emulator and see if you still get black screens. An unpatched, Japanese copy of FE4 should not crash when you try to load it. That says either you have a bad ROM, or your emulator is probably very unstable/outdated.
Justaspriter
I used celice's archive and pacthed a rom but I'm still getting a black screen on Znes. It keeps saying spc700 stall. I looked that up and it said that i need nsrt. I downloaded nsrt and tried scanning my rom but then it said nsrt can't work because the path is not clear. i'm just going to give up. This is all way to much work. unless someone feels like giving me working pre-patched rom of genealogy of tordo, fala, or BSTS i'm just going to stop. Celice
Try another emulator. Try Snes9x 1.53.
