DH_Ninja
Okay, so I lurk alot and not alot of people know me here. But I'm currently doing another playthrough of this mod now that it's nearing completion and I thought, why not make a Let's Play? It'll be fun right!? Right? Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. Prologue I'll skip the opening story, all you need to know is that there's a very dickish country doing the Ghengis Kahn thing and Good guys needs to stop them. If you haven't played this mod yet, what are you doing! Go! Play it. Anyway, on to the Prologue. Siegfried, a once powerful soldier with Grail syndrome (he's crippled but still fights amazingly) is in hiding and is one of the few trying to oppose our badguys. But now the bad guys have found him. This is our First Main character, Siegfried. Siegfried is a bit of a dolt. His strategy primarily consists of kicking the door down and smashing everything to death. It's usually a sound strategy if you're bigger than the enemy. But overall, it shows how stupid and reckless someone can be. I won't be using Siegfried much because he's a prepromoted unit. In fact, he won't hurt anyone at all this chapter. Shon, Siegfried's son and our Second Main character. Shon is…a pretty garbage unit. At least in my opinion he is. Maybe he'll prove otherwise in this play through, or maybe he'll live up to my expectations. He's mediocre. But I'm willing to give the kid a shot. After all, he needs to impress daddy. Byron, our first boss. In an alternate universe, Batta the Beast was born into nobility under the name Byron. Trained to be vigilant, unyielding and…unreliable. How about we just call him "Chump # 1" for now? I did say we would not be using Siegfried, so let's just send him back to the house for now. You found something Siegfried! Perhaps Shon's private stash of inappropriate pictures? An iron sword, a vulnerary and 1,000 gold. 1,000 GOLD! Who keeps that much just laying about! Well, Shon's stash remains safe for now. Shon's first combat! The fighter winds up and it's a miss. Woo! At this rate we'll be routing the enemy in no time. I have made a horrible mistake. Shon is growing up right in front of our eyes! First level and he survived the encounter! Maybe there's hope. I may not have gotten strength this level but, HP & Def are acceptable in my eyes. With the fodder down, let's move on to the boss. Bring it on Chump #1. Get dunked. Dunkmaster Shon is on the job. I may regret investing in Shon, yes. However... he's my only option at the moment. Let's see our reward. The stats we missed last time. Minus luck. Hmmm… What a jackass. Well… It wouldn't be much of a story if Shon sat at home and became a family man. Shon in 13 years had he stayed home. Now the reason we didn't use Siegfried is so we could unlock a bonus chapter and complete a hidden sidequest. It requires Shon to route all the enemies on his own. Easy enough, but fun and a possibly overlooked detail. Anyway, our next post will detail prologue part 2. Maybe this will catch a few eyes, maybe not. We'll see how it goes! DH_Ninja
Hehehe. So how often are you planning updates, acouple times a week? Often as possible. Some of this is already written out. DH_Ninja
Prologue: Part 2 We're introduced to our second boss and out next recruitable character in this chapter. But to get him we first have to prove to him that Shon is worth hoping on. https://www.youtube....h?v=UhICDbRKz-E ...We've got along way to go Shon. Let's get down to business! To defeat, Magnus! Did they start me with Shon, when I asked for Haar? You're the saddest "Lord" I've ever met, but you can bet before we're through. Mister…I'll make a MAN! Out of you. Here's our next boss, for now let's call him "Chump #2." But first! Shon needs to check on his stash of inappropriate pictures. Still there Shon? Good. Pornography won't help you where you're going. Silly "Lord"! Interestingly enough, Corben was polite enough to wait for him. What a good friend! Alright Chump #2! Dunk Master Shon is on the case! SONUVABITCH! He has ranged! I take it back, Corben is a cheating bastard! I forgot to snap a picture of his death quote, he didn't even give enough experience to level but it was something along the lines of, "How could I lose to bitchface here?!" Pride and body hurt eh? That's what you get for 1v1ing nubbert! It's a short chapter but adds a little more to the story and is part of an awesome side quest that was implemented. That's all for now, next time: Chapter 1. DH_Ninja
Chapter 1 Another day in the life of Shon and his father Siegfried. Really? I wasn't aware small towns were usually quiet. But no matter, it's good to see you appreciate the peace Siegfried. Way to be a ****ing killjoy. Moments later, Shon arrives! Siegfried being the over protective man he is chastises Shon for his arrival. What a jerk. And just for that comment. I am going to go out of my way to count how many times Siegfried doesn't exactly think something through. Remember when I said Siegfried likes to, Kick open the door and smash? You ought to; it's only a few post back. Chump #2! I thought we killed you. Meals on wheels arrives right on time. Time to feed our units. Choreographed song and dance? Oh…he meant rape. I guess we'll have to show him that such things are in very, very bad taste around here. Here's a close up of Mr.Ugly here. Well, he's not the most ugly brigand but he's still pretty piggish and stupid. But wait, what's this?! Back in my day, we didn't have no such thing as an armored Brigand. It's a little detail here that I like about this game. It's an alternate Brigand class that gets seen only a little. It means they're a little tougher than usual. Chump #2 is getting a promotion. You have been upgraded to PC status. Congratualtions Mr.Corben. Now, Corben is the equivalent of your Sain/Kent character. He's a pretty good unit and I feel he's especially useful early on. We'll be using him quite a bit if things go well, otherwise he may end up getting benched. Anyway! Let the slaughter begin. Peppy: You're becoming more like your Father Shon. Whose this interloper? Armor? A knight? Blue? A stupid, stupid face!? We'll find out later. A least he's not stupid enough to fight us. Gotta go fast. Dunk master Shon is on the job again! 10 Speed. Oh the doubling we will do, you and I. You have hope yet Mr.Shon. Gotta…Gotta go FAST. Oh, neat thing too. Armored Brigands are treated like any other armored unit. In that, the Rapier will hurt them pretty badly. It's neat. It also means this is the 3rd boss (3/3) which Shon can properly skewer. Let's watch. He hit Shon but the point of the matter is, he's now deader than a dead, dead guy. "We were wrong, you were right. Thank you for saving us." "Oh the rebellion is growing, yada, yada, We might stand a chance. There's something I need to get. Like a sword or something. It's pretty important." (Play the Mod =_=) OH you, Well. I guess we'll be seeing him in a few chapters Kevin. Maybe you'll join us. If not I'll have to thank your ranking officer. See you on Chapter 2 guys. DH_Ninja
It's been a few days. If you guys like this. Leave a comment. I know there are alot of views but I love comments more. They stand out more than anything else and ultimately make posting this that much better. Chapter 2 Welcome back to Let's Play: The Last Promise. As you can see I have two save files, one for beta testing and one for this lovely play through of the game. Drug deal! Drug deal! RUN! RUN! Insert inappropriate joke here. But no seriously, Siegfried is getting a sword (very much like Lyn did) and Shon is worried about being ambushed. But there appears to be trouble. Oh look, a line. It's a line right Siegfried? I mean…Shon possibly couldn't be making that face because you're thick headed right? At least someone here has some common sense. Well…Good for you Corby. Let's watch this play out. Now who's this? Well, whoever he is he's not taking them very seriously. What kind of name is Jaled? He doesn't look very feared. Look at this sucker and his one earing. Silly brigand!!! What?! No ORKO? Come on Kelik, do better than that. =_= Oh…so a vulnerary isn't good enough for you huh?! We're going to bash your head in on principle. I wonder what Siegfried is up to? … Just in case Siegfried wasn't able to figure it out on his own by now. At least someone knows what's going on down here. What did you say your name was? Tamiko the Cleric. Well…I don't think you should come along. While you may be a cleric, you're still a little girl. After all, Shon wasn't allowed to go and had to drag Corben through the mud and fell many Brigands on his own just to get to this point. Siegfried. Talk some common sense into her. I ****ING HATE YOU SIEGFRIED! I HATE YOU SO MUCH! (At this point DH_Ninja broke into a set of uncontrollable sobbing. Hours later he resumed his typing) Now for a little news. I forgot to save when I beat Chapter 1. So I had to redo it. Growths are different so let me show you the current party's stats. Interestingly enough, Shon is stronger than his father at the moment. Irony. This guy is running into both Kelik and Siegfried, dunk master Shon is also present. I'd consider him a poor bastard too. Tamiko is a character I had a little bit of a hand in, in that I made her Cleric battle animation a long, long time ago. Seeing it is nostalgic, good warm feelings. It's nice. In any case, she's our first healer and has potential to grow. She'll be getting use when possible. Now then, let's actually get on to doing the chapter. Tamiko, visit that village! Tamiko: …But…I don't hurt people. I…I'm a cleric. ಥ_ಥ Looks like Kelik has a handle on things. Killing our food… Siegfried: I know this is crazy, and you don't know me but get on my horse and I'll take you around the Universe and all the other places too. Kelik: Go away you fre- GAH! *Rescued* Shon took an axe to the face, Tamiko. Staff it and make it better. <3 =_= :D Tino… Now why does that sound familiar? More importantly, why do they leave their doors unlocked? It's like asking for bad stuff to happen. Doing better Corben…now it's your turn to commit home invasion. The youthful are in experienced and will grow. The old are veterans but suck at growing because they're old. Got it. That feeling when you get hit by a 17% hit followed by a 35% hit. I know exactly who to blame. What did I do to warrant such early restart RNG Goddess? ;_; I even married you in Awakening. RESTART! FAST FORWARD NINJA POWERS! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! There's a house that only Corben should visit for that unlimited use lance. It's a special lance that's part of a side quest. Quite useful! First level… Well, you got Speed at least. DUNKDUNKDUNKDUNKDUNKDUNKDUNKDUNKDUNKDUNKDUNKDUNK CRITICAL. And dead. Not too bad. To be fair, we pretty much forced him onto Siegfried's horse. Jake. Anna. Figures. Anyway, Jake is our blacksmith and the forger of Siegfried's new blade. It's an Anti-Mage sword. Magic users be damned. Siegfried expects to part. Tamiko thinks otherwise. I dunno Sieg…she is just a little girl. He's given her so few problems with dealing with them when she can't even fight back…I think he has a thing for her. RUN TAMI! RUN! A closing statement from Kelik. I'm pretty sure that list can't be too terribly big... Alright, that's Chapter 2. See you on Chapter 3. Jimmy_Smith
Ha ha !! Siegfried is such a thick headed. Kelik has every right to hate Siegfried. DH_Ninja
Chapter 3 Do you even lift Siegfried? But seriously, Siegfried is looking to hire these two mercenaries. …Somehow that isn't a very comforting thought. Wait…what?! You...you three didn't even introduce yourselves yet. I suppose Siegfried doesn't need your names but…he didn't even introduce himself either?! How the hell did this conversation even start. "Yeah, we heard the mysterious knight commander was looking to start a rebellion. We want to KICK THE **** OUT OF THE BAD GUYS TOO!" 8D "Well…that sounds fine and dan-WAITAMINUTE. Are you spies?" "No." "Welcome aboard." I swear Shon, you, Corben and Tami are the only ones with brains around here. Siegfried explains his reasoning, even though it's something along the lines of, "We're a three man rebellion and five is more than three…so if they tell two friends and they tell two friends", Shon complies. Because in the end, Siegfried is Shon's father. Commander, we found the enemies! Guerilla warfare works son. Get with the times. Hit and run is all the rage right now. Way to be a hipster and stick to the "old way". You could be referring to your signature move in bed… It's a long shot but…still. Nothing drives my appetite like sex and murder. If we kill them all and take the fort, we can unleash all these prisoners and just…go to town. Have a field day. Throw wave after wave of man at the empire. Inanna. Level 1, you're a little bit behind the curb but that's okay because I have a feeling that you and I are going to get along quite well here. You have potential and this road is going to treat you poorly at times and is going to be generous to you at others. Also you're a blonde and ****ing blondes own this mode. Isn't that right Shon? Shuuda here is a personal favorite. He's reliable and well, he works. Not a whole lot to say about him. There's a chance he'll fall behind later but we'll see how Anna treats him. You're guarding the wrong fortress good sir. Welp! I'd pity you buuuuuuuuuut I don't have the time to waste thinking more on it. On to the chapter! Okay! So missed the FIRST TWO Growths of this chapter. Because my menus were being complete and utter Jarods. They were decent and probably would have had some witty banter if not for how uneventful this chapter is. Foreshadowing. Why can't that just be dramatic instead…like. Why can't you join me instead and be all like, "I will hold a torch to light the way for you, so that Magnus will fall!" *sigh* Well I guess we'll be making use of this next time. Maybe if I had gone with Siegfried…he like girls. What's on that cliff anyway? Inanna, you are destined for greatness. … You make me feel better at least. Yeah! Screw those guys, we'll help you…build a magical bridge for you. We're awesome like that. …Eh. I'll take it. <3 It's late. I'm missing quote. And probably other stuffs, like attacks. >< "Fight with all your might, but I shall not die!" I'll settle on this! It's good enough for me. Hey guys. I think he's dead. Nope, just turned invisible. Hmm…the half-way point and those stats. Not sure how to feel. Yeah! Now how to celebrate? No! Siegfried! This isn't a bad prison shower scene! STOP! He doesn't want to be dominated by anyone! …Screw it. I'm done. You're the most sadistic and vile lord ever. Just…Just… Oh. It's an interrogation. Whew. ._. Wait? Why are we interrogating a grunt? He clearly won't know anything. Like knitting…or something. Here's a case of dramatic irony. He looks awfully familiar if you've seen the first scene. Well, we know our next destination for sure. Whenever I hear that name I can only think of one thing. We'll end on that note. Chapter 4 is next. Edited March 26, 2013 by DH_Ninja

Miacis
And the bandwidth for your pictures is starting to dry up like a beer stein in a student party. You might want to pick something a bit more sturdy than Gyazo for that. It's more fit for sharing screenshots in a chatroom than actually posting a bunch of LP pictures on a decently-populated forum. DH_Ninja
No jokes here! The real deal. Chapter 4 Welcome back to Let's Play: The Last Promise. This is where we last left off. I'm not summarizing what happened last time, if you want to know read the last chapter. So, Galagar insist upon telling us information that's useful but at the same time he wants to be a ****ING LIAR! Siegfried might be but I'm certainly not. In fact, I want to kill you. Kill him Siegfried! Kill him! Oh, who am I kidding, he wouldn't listen to me even if he could. Yeah! Bad guys side! Let's see what they have to say. Hm? Is that Rebecca, nah, she's too albino. Come to think of it, Kevin does have a funny looking nose. But anyway! Moving on. It's dark out, why are we marching still. Suddenly, ARROWS! And Siegfried dod- tanks it. How insightful. ANYWAY!, Let's begin the chapter. Our current team. Holy crap Shuuda. You're like miles ahead of everyone else. Now then, if you haven't played this chapter. This is an anti Inanna chapter. Archers everywhere and even little miss Albino here is after our sweet Inaana's head. One chapter after we get her too! Inanna? Are you okay? Inanna? ...Dear sweet lord. RUN! Tamiko! You're getting buffier! Let me hide behind you... Yeah! Tug on your bows strings until they break! That'll show them! That'll show them all! Kevin, get out there and kill them all...clearly these archers suck. ...Hm. Okay. We'll humor you. First let's let him come into view. An undroppable blue gem and a REALLY high defense. Die fat one! Die! ...Oh. Well. Damn. Okay. Good tactic Albino one. Sending an essential character at me to kill. Clever. But I have save states on my side, you don't. Let's try the talk option. That's quite depressing... Huh...okay. Good rebuttal Siegfried. KEVIN! STAB HIM TO DEATH! GET HIM WHILE HIS GUARD IS DOWN! GET EM! Or you can submit and come with us after betraying your group. That works too. Let's see some of these houses before I forget. See Shon Shu. Maybe people should start locking their doors. Anyway, let's give Kevin his shining moment. THE BOULDER is on the case. YOU CAN'T HURT THE BOULDER! BUT THE BOULDER CAN HURT YOU! THE BOULDER is ready for their next victim. I missed the growth but that Red! That Red Highlight is defense. That matters. THE BOULDER IS PLEASED. And Shuuda gets even more ahead. Let's see some of these other houses. Let's...keep calm Inanna. It's a trap. You know it. You saw all those archers! I missed it again! Miiiiiiissed it. Now is it coming or going? Coming or going? Okay. Last house. That describes the Albino pretty well. Thanks for that useful tidbit. Ada. Okay. She finally has a name. Well to be fair, Kevin told Siegfried it. She drops an Elixir. She's infatuated with herself, that's not okay. There's only one narcissist I will allow. Not Ada. Aaaaaaaaada. You can try! THE BOULDER accepts your challenge! This could take a while. I don't give a damn how long it takes! We'll take you down! Down to china down! With my spear! OH! Hey wait...I forgot the armory. ...Sword. SELL THOSE GEMS. Inanna! NO! Don't be a hero! I love you! Irony. Well, good job. I wonder if she still wants those Pegasus feathers. I'll settle for it. At least you got Res. Wait? You're not dead? Huh. ...Siegfried and his small girl fetish. One more victim to add to the total. Will it ever end! But seriously, Tamiko is summoned. The two mud wrestle for Siegfried's amusement and then she tells him everything she knows. KILL HER! DEATH TO MAGNUS. Figures you'd let a girl go. =_= Wait? You let an enemy commander go? After they know everything your group is capable of? REALLY?! ._. I'm sure this won't come back to bite you in the ass or anything. The irony of this is we won't see Ada again. It's rather funny actually. Anyway, that's the end of the chapter. See you guys in chapter 5. Edited April 1, 2013 by DH_Ninja
DH_Ninja
Welcome back to Let's Play: The Last Promise. Chapter 5 Alright, we start off with Siegfried talking to Haas about the state of the war. Something about how the native tribes are up in arms against one another. Haas thinks it bad. So says Haas. Wise words Haas. You know, I forgot to start counting how many times Siegfried doesn't think something through. He ignores common sense. Well...I guess we're attacking the enemy, head on. Again. ...I think we're fighting mages guys. This guy is glorious. Send us the one Monk with purple hair, just put him on guard duty immediately by the door. Then, sit on the throne. But don't just sit on it, sit on it while riding a horse. So, mysterious Monk! Will we have to recruit you with a talk? Oh. So you talk to us and say you're strong against other mages. Okay. I guess that works. Let's start the chapter. Holy crap that resistance. I've never used Arthur before and in every play through prior to this one he gets benched. Worse yet! He gets benched in THIS MODE. It's awful isn't it? But for once, I'll use him. 6 skill means he's Skilled. Or maybe it's his ability to make a horse sit on a throne? I'm not sure. Anyway, this guy isn't very impressive. Alright, so let's take care of the archers before us. Inanna has a problem with these guys... She's starting to look a little shaky. GROWTHS. Tamiko...I need you to start bashing their brains in. Come on. Please? You're as fast as the Cavalier. AH! The enemy has flanked us! Siegfried! Ki- Oh. They're NPC allies. Whew. This guys name is Storm. He's rather okay, he's got some awesome green hair though. Let's take our time. Alright, so Arthur is tanking the stuff here and now we're being flanked. Now the thing that sucks about these reinforcements is they can't be farmed. They give no EXP and are strong enough to actually do damage. In other words, Let's hurry our asses up. A lot smaller than I anticipated here. Three level 7s and a level 2. Overall, mediocre growths. Nothing amazing here. MOVING ON. Hey! What are you doing! Stop it! You're suppose to be down there fighting! Stupid AI! Stop that. Retreating to Tami and all! Stop it! Die for DeeAych! Maybe you will get some use my Purple haired friend. Tami, I still love you. Kevin? What did you find there. A magical amulet and the key to Chapter 5x? Oh ho! Incidentally we'll be picking up a Draco shield as well. It's an okay growth. Hmmm... Inanna. You look concerned. Why? What's wrong? FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- Okay! Better hurry up since they're all dead. This sucker survived a round of combat. Shon missed an 84% hit. I'm disappointed in you Shon. =_= And now I'm somewhat pleased with the STR growth... Now let's seize the throne before the enemy turns Inanna into a pincushion. Siegfried: "Over Protective Father, Poor Strategist, Little Girl Fettish, Bad With Names. Impressive, it worked... I hope he realizes sooner that kicking open every door isn't a good idea buuuuut I've learned to be disappointed in Siegfried. There'll be alot more kicking the door in, I'm sure. Purple and Green hair. Our victory is ensured. A small aside for our enemies. We learn the identity of the count of the land as well as the fact that this guy, Howard, is relocating himself temporarily. I wonder how that'll turn out. Anyway, that's it for this chapter. DH_Ninja
Chapter 5X Welcome back to another installment of Let's Play: Shon Kills All The Bad Guys. Let's Play: The Last Promise.Meanwhile at the Legion of Do- Oh. Well, I guess Abandoned Fortress works too.Well, I suppose it's a sound and secure place. I mean, what cou- Oh. We're being followed. Thanks for beating them to the punch.Ohhhh yeah! Coming to penetrate all the rebels. With his golden tip... and golden thrust. I'll stop now... Please stay.So if we run we lose and if we fight we lose...Oh! We get to choose. To fight or fly. Siegfried, I'm taking the reigns. You are not charging head first into battle.WOW! That was a short chapter. I guess I'll see you guys next time. Stay tuned.JUST KIDDING!I'm all about making Siegfried stay in character. So, head first into their ranks we go.Always fighting on sleep deprivation. It's what the cool kids do. Alright a new objective. Survive. What are we surviving against?Crap. Okay. Let's start the chapter! Our current line up.A more in depth look at Storm. Storm is a nomad and gets his own personal weapon, one that gives him a +2 to speed. It's a pretty neat implementation on top of that Storm tends to be pretty useful. Usually I dislike Archers, however due to the fact a short bow allows you to attack in melee and allows you to counter attack a lot of my dislike disappears. However, the downside to Storm and also Arthur is that they rejoin in chapter 21. But, I'll be using these two none the less in this mode.Cid, The Golden Spear/The Gold Halberdier. We've heard a lot about this guy. He's stronger than everyone. BUT THAT ISN'T GOING TO STOP ME FROM KILLING HIM!That didn't go so well. RESTART!Let's look at landmarks. A strange temple and an arena of all things. Let's head to the temple and maybe possibly screw with the arena.Oh and before we forget. Shuuda, have a Dracoshield. THE BOULDER can have a talisman. Here's also the defensive position at the end of the round. Let's see if it holds.Them fighting words. My oh my! I wonder who this DEVILISHLY HANDSOME character is? Hmmm, we'll get to that later. Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my mouth. So let's see. Inanna, he may seem cold but I assure you he means well for your person. He informs you that being here will kill you, but he remains there yet. Odd. I wonder what he's doing in there...probably something illegal. Hell, even ominious music plays at this part. But, this man is kind enough to leave us with a Killing Edge! NEAT! Moving on!End of the next turn!GROWTHS! EN MASS! THE BOULDER is MORE of a BOULDER! Storm does well. Shuuda is mediocre. Arthur is okay. I love you to death Tamiko. And Storm...gotta go fast.NO! SHUUDA! IT'S SUICIDE! I'M SORRY! Don't do that! You'll never win! He's promoted! And Cid just sits there, like a jackass."Hahahaha! I could end their little fun on my own but..."I bet that guy in the temple is no better. But at least he has an excuse...(probably not a good one.)No! Shuuda! You can't! There's too many of them! I love you! Don't do this! I'm sorry I called you mediocre! Wait...what's this?!Shon: "GET DUNKED!"Well, he did get there fast didn't he? Impressive. Our first promoted unit killed. Unfortunately, we were left open. The wheel of fate is turning.Storm. To understand how lucky he was, he just took 5 consecutive attacks in a row. All of which were between 30-50% in hit chance. Two of those units were killed by Storm. Storm apparently doesn't take shit from anyone. All you really need is Strength and Speed. Tami is our little tank. ^^ And Shuuda is...he's doing okay. No more suicide missions buddy.Advance on the enemy! We only have a few turns to "Survive" left. Huh. Arthur? Where are you going?Arthur, taking up pit fighting on the side while we're under siege. You're a monk dammit! Also, I noticed that the enemy palette for the mercenary strongly resembled a doom enemy. It's gotta be the green hair and red.I like this. Do this more.More pit fighting. Impressive good sir!I'd hope you'd consider us tough after we murdered the hell out of almost everyone.Geee. I hope I don't encounter any nomad. Archers sure do suck when I only have two men left.Cid: "You two! Let's go!"General 2: "Why didn't you step in?"General 3: "Yeah, they killed Mike pretty hard...I mean. We respect your orders but really? Would it kill you to move a little?"Cid: "...I said move."Anyway! That's Chapter 5x in a nutshell. Stay tuned for Chapter 6. DH_Ninja
Okay, You asked for it. <3 CHAPTER 6 Welcome back to my play through of The Last Promise. After that stomp fest we find ourselves in the City of Stark. Our protagonist sort of just waltzes on in on horseback...all three on horse back. Oi. Look at all those red units.Ooooooh. A hovel! Let's listen!Oooh? A her? A female thief you say. I'm quite interested in this.But...you totally took Tami in. She can't even fight on her own. She just...heals. =_= I think someone's jealous. I bet none of those guards even drop keys. Can I make suggestions too? I'm technically your tactician here! Not Siegfried. It must have been the horses. Look at THIS GUY!"They want to...engage me? Eh..."Look at this guy. He looks strangely feminine but his body is HUGE! He adds Eh to the end of everything and his tactics aren't all that great.Welcome aboard. Officially. (As if fighting Mr.Signature Sex Move wasn't enough.) Anyway, let's see. I don't see any female thieves. Let's start the chapter. This guy. Nothing special.Houses and stuff. A layout of the map.First turn is uneventful but at the end we get this? A thief! But...you seem to lack breast. :<"Excuse me sir, you appear to be the plundering type." *Facepalm* Way to go Siegfried. What happened to not wanting to involve civilians...Also, I think Siegfried also noticed his apparent lack of breast. Man, you're being such a jerk. Who the hell do you think you are Siegfried?Touche.Hmmm. Seems he's looking for someone on top of things. Wait, we remember meeting Kelik, but who is this Tekun? *innocent shrug* I dunno. Anyway, Siegfried hires him.Althares is a thief. He's useful, he looks somewhat like Colm and on top of that he gets a bonus chance to critical. He has utility and that can be useful. Personally, I like him but never really got to field him much due to lagging behind in combat. We'll see how it goes this time around.Who needs Speed when you have STRONK.Let's visit our lovely shop lady. Hello baby! Have you seen any womanly thieves about? Why are you flipping your open sign to closed?...Moving on.I have never wanted to murder a civilian so badly in my life. Looks like we won't have that womanly thief after all. :< Dammit Althares. He gives us a door key. Which we'll promptly sell.Good to know the townsfolk love us. She gives us something else which we'll be selling. Because gold is good.First round of growths. Althares is showing quite alot of potential. Tami is cool too. Shuuda. I promised not to rag on you but come on.Mr. Moustachio's Armory shop. We'll pay you a visit later for sure.I like my version of you better, eh? Well. Reinforcements are coming. THE BOULDER IS ON THE CASE.THE BOULDER IS COMING TO BURY YOU BENEATH HIS GIRTH!OH sweet lord! No! Run child! He's going to take you!Siegfried: "Come here little cutie. I don't want your elixir. I want you on the front lines!"This weapon will be useful. It's an Axereaver. We'll save this for something spectacular. But now for a good old fashion throw down.In this corner! The Boulder! In this corner! The Non-Female Thief!HAH! BOI! KON! CHOI! HAH! ... Okay enough of that. Reinforcements are mostly dead. Only way we could add insult to injury is with some good old fashioned petty theft.Which Althares can do pretty well. Now with them dead we can wrap this stage up. But first let's do a good old fashion reorganization. We're not being penalized for time so why don't we take a little initiative and treat everyone to the things they deserve.I took my sweet time. Deal with it. Love you Tamiko.Hmph. Why can't you be more like Tami? It's okay. Don't cry.I think the EXP and Levels were worth something. :<Arthur certainly agrees. Althares. Why don't you finish her....er...him off....Why do the ones you love always hurt you the most? This growth was love fueled. Oh Shinshou. ;_; I knew you cared.Pfff. Sword goes in, guts come out. Sword goes in, guts come out. GET ON MY LEVEL.Celebration. They invite us to stay and so Siegfried says, "Let's sleep outside."Siegfried tells Shon nothing is wrong. Shon calls bullshit. Siegfried doesn't follow up immediately and expresses concerns about the rebellion. All joking aside. Despite how much I'll rag on Siegfried for his stupidity and hardheadedness. The guy is a father and means the best for his son. He's trying, he might be stupid. But he's trying.Shon's mother got brought up. His father likes to sugar coat and the two talk a little about it. It's a nice Father/Son moment. Obviously this is a sore subject for Siegfried. There's guilt there. Maybe he didn't try hard enough in stopping her death? Maybe he just can't move on? Whose to say? It's nice development.Next time, Chapter 7.BE THERE! OR THE BOULDER WILL FIND YOU! Edited April 29, 2013 by DH_Ninja
