Kobazco
I got a few questions, mostly FE8 related. This thread will end up containing all dumb questions i get in the future as well. First Question: I seem to be having trouble dissambling an FE8 chapter. I've followed tutorials and when i put in the offset for the chapter 1 offsets. i get this error: Finished. 1 errors encountered: Exception: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.get_Item(TKey key) at Nintenlord.Event_Assembler.Core.Program.Disassemble(String inputFile, String outputFile, String languageName, Boolean addEndGuards, DisassemblyMode mode, Int32 offset, Priority priority, Int32 size, ILog messageLog) at Nintenlord.Event_Assembler.UserInterface.MainForm.<.ctor>b__3(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs args) No data written to output. Next question: I'm having alot of trouble using the text editor from FEditor adv on FE8. I know I've gotten it to work in the past, but now anytime i attempt to edit any text the game will crash upon viewing said text.
jjl2357
FEditor: Save the file before attempting any changes with it. (Otherwise the exact text crashing problem you described appears.) Event assembler: Not sure what the precise problem is, but: did you get the offset from the event data pointer table in nightmare? Did you remove the 08 at the beginning of the pointer? Did you check to make sure event assembler is disassembling FE8 and not FE7?

Afer pressing ok, the usually loud screeching noise played.

I think it might have something to do with my new computer not having everything installed yet.
Kiseki
You could try using the Text Editing Suites instead. I remember using it to change descriptions for characters and items, but when I attempted doing it again using FEditor, it glitched up and froze. As for the BIOS error, I remember seeing those happen with FE6 back when FEditor used to brick it. Blazer has the Text Editing Suites on his site here. They're not hard to find, but it's one of the few sites out there that I know of that has downloads for them. http://forums.feshrine.net/index.php?showtopic=
