i downloaded chatzilla and junk in order to get into the chat, but i don't know how to connect to the chat place!

HELP ME!!!!!!! PWEASE!!!!

When you open up Chatzilla, you'll need to type "/server irc.darkmyst.org". That connects you to the server. Afterwards, type "/j #serenes_forest" (you can type 'join' instead of 'j' if you'll remember it more easily), that enables you to join the Serenes Forest chat room. If you would ever like to change your name on the chat you can do so by typing "/nick NAME" with NAME replaced with whichever screen-name you'd like.

i tried it, and nothing happens.

it just tells me that it's trying to connect, then it doesn't, then it tries again, then it doesn't, then again, then it doesn't....



i hate chat.

Then try /server webchat.darkmyst.org instead of irc.darkmyst.org

It's probably a problem from your router then. Try www.mirc.com and see if it works. Same commands 'n all.

Or try mibbit.com if all else fails.

tried both methods, and both methods failed.

then i tried one of the suggested server things to see if they worked, but nope, they didn't

Could you tell me what the error message is so i have a better idea what's going wrong?

the error message says:

ERROR: Connection to irc://irc.darkmyst.org/ (irc://irc.darkmyst.org/) reset. Reconnection in # minutes.

That's most probably a problem from your side. I'm not sure how you can fix it.

that happened to me earlier but it was a problem with limited access on this wi-fi point..if you can, you can try another connection point if you got one near you...if you are using a router, dunno how to help you..sorry

that is only a specific server on the network. Not to mention, it's .org not .com
