I don't like gay marriages, mainly because it breeds STD's and cannot produce children to further humanity. I hate the sin, but I still feel for the people who do it. they just want to be loved.

I think STDs are more common among homosexuals, but that's more a facet of riskier sex practices than something inherently wrong with homosexuality; and obviously, if gay people marry and are faithful, that kind of risky sex won't happen. In fact, to prevent the spread of STDs, we should encourage marriage amongst gay people, because it will encourage them to be less promiscuous.

Hell yeah, preach it brotha. I think all gays, lesbians and bisexuals should be shipped off to northern ice flows personally. I still think they were responsible for sinking the titanic, that iceberg was way too phallic to not have been crafted by gay people.

Haha, wow, I didn't think people this stupid were allowed near computers.

And I was hoping that people wouldn't continue to try and shove religion in as a reason for why being gay is some sort of sin.

Although I've been seeing that whole "it doesn't produce children, so it's wrong" argument popping up more, recently. Yes, because we need more children on this planet. There are still some orphanages that need filling.

That is, of course, if they're lucky enough to make it to one instead of just being abandoned in the streets, or left to fight in some third world country's war.

So, having children's great, right?

Personally, I have no problems with gays, lesbians and bisexuals. They're people just like me, why should they be treated different? I don't see the big deal with marriage (and I'm somewhat religious). At least in the US, marriage has tax benefits and other benefits that I can't think of off the top of my head. So it'd be fair if they got those benefits as well.

I'm kind of late to the party, but ... this is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of.

1) "Gay marriage" doesn't breed STDs. STDs themselves have been around for a long time. Sexual activity between anyone infected with an STD can spread it. THIS INCLUDES STRAIGHT PEOPLE.
2) Oh, no, so gay marriage can't produce children? ... Do you have any idea how many people are in this world? How limited our resources are? How much more of a strain we put on the Earth and our natural resources by adding EVEN MORE people? Point is, a relationship that doesn't produce children isn't THAT big of a deal. We don't NEED more people in the world. If anything, we need the population to DECREASE.

Also, I agree with the first post that said sexuality isn't a choice for the most part. People who are heterosexual don't decide to be straight. They just ARE. In the same way, people who are homosexual didn't choose to be gay or lesbian.

You know what the worst part is? This particular topic was started almost three years ago, and somehow it managed to go that long without falling into necro territory. Honestly, I'm one step away from locking this thing because we've seen it all by now. There isn't much that can be added to this that isn't completely redundant at this point.

EDIT: Screw it, I'm putting this horse down. The most recent bump was worthless, and I can't see anything new or interesting coming out of it.
