I can guarantee you that the skin is not the only reason people would vote "no".
I voted no simply because of the lack of a proper skin.
No, because these forums still need a skin.
Unless I'm missing something...
You are.
I can guarantee you that the skin is not the only reason people would vote "no".
No.
- Consistency with staff decisions, all the way down to warnings. None of this "I like you better" or "You aren't as offensive as this other person" bullshit. Either someone breaks the rule or they don't.- Better rules.Being worked on.- Transparent way of accepting criticism and suggestions for improvementFixed- Stop blaming difficulties on the member base. The staff lets them get away with the shit they pull, and because the staff is so hostile toward any kind of suggestion for change, the member base is going to be hostile toward the staff.Being worked on, I presume.
- Utilize your staff and any future staff members you have.
I really don't give a shit about the skin or anything; this one doesn't blind my eyes.
Voted "no" because there are a lot of things that were proposed and planned but never put through. Also, too many strikethrough conversations invading threads - it's one of the main reasons I stopped posting the FE boards.
Those are just a few examples of "no" answers that had nothing to do with the skin. Also, many of the members who voted yes still had other problems with the site that, again, had nothing to do with the skin.
To Josh: I don't have time to answer your questions right now but if you AIM me later, I'll respond to questions you may have in regards to what I mean.
And with that, I'm out.

Well... For the most part. 5/6 of the users didn't say no for just that reason.

Couldn't give a shit about the skin, though I wouldn't mind it either.
Relatively troll-less.
Fun place to kill boredom.
People seem to get along fine, save a couple, though I suppose you can't avoid drama.
Even the Serious Discussion lets me learn more about various subjects.
Yup, seems like a nice place to me. Just keep drama private. If it needs to be brought up, someone will. Until then, keep it behind the scenes. It's tiresome to see every other serious discussion topic boil down to raeg against the machine.
I'mma guess Jyos is a Leo.

I disagree, when I first saw it I thought cool the forums aren't generic blue anymore but it makes it slightly more annoying to read large blocks of text and things but still it does look pretty.

You don't really need the post-count system. Just judge people by how many circles they have underneath their avatar.Sure I am, how could I not be?

Those will be removed once we have icons for everyone.

Actually I'm an aries... why did this come up?
Wow, I was in the right element at least. Go me, sorta.
Don't mind it though, I just enjoy guessing. I just do it out of boredom I suppose.

I suppose it's alright otherwise.

I would've voted "other" if there was, because while the forum has its flaws, the only thing I don't like about it at the moment is that it really bores me, random drama notwithstanding.
I suppose it's alright otherwise.
Yeah, i hear ya there man.

Not really. To be honest, its kinda embarrassing. Sarcasm and cheek aside, the admin should not be subject to drama whatsoever.
I second this opinion on drama not being amusing (okay, maybe it is the first time). Although I don't agree that the admin shouldn't be subjected to drama (not saying that he should be either; it depends), just that it well... shouldn't be so predictable. I want my drama to be distributed like a poisson distribution, not like a gaussian.
Still, the SD board amuses me when I have the spare time, and most of the members seem fairly well behaved. It's not surprising I only really look in the general boards every so often given my interests and workload compared to most other people here (or really pretty much anywhere).

And the amusing folk who stand above us on their pedestal of grey status dots.

Yep, even if the Announcements forum does look like this is the dire half-dragon version of the Serenes Forest forums I was active on.
Otherwise looks mostly like the same awesome forum I used to visit.
