I don't "go to" tournaments. However, I play them whenever I can at the brawl site I am a part of. (SHS)

I don't go to tournaments anymore, but I used to for Melee. I did horribly each time but I thats mainly because I was put up against the person who either took first or second in the very first match, and I'm not kidding, in each of the three I went to.

I've only attended one tournament and it was a Brawl tournament at my high school during my senior year. I managed to win the tournament with Ike.

Well, that must have ages ago with nobody there, since Ike is a horrible character.

I play some tournaments with people near my city region/area and I hang out with the ''pros'' and ''tourneyfags'' around here.
I'm not tourneyfag or pro but I can defeat the casual people that goes in the tournament.

I did for Melee. I got second place in one (Up against a bunch of noobs, we're talking like... they complained about Dr. Mario's cape being cheap), and failed miserably in others I went to. I had a pretty awesome match against a really good Shiek player where I actually got the first kill. I still lost though! :awesome:

.......
<_<

Edit: I should've mentioned, I lost to my brother who is a much more frequent tourney goer than I am...

I went to the launch tourney Gamestop had. They like totally unlocked Marth even though the were not allowed. I actually used Peach. I actually won the tourney and went up to the next stage and got to the semifinals but got beat by a friggin' meta knight.

Mind you I didn't have a Wii at all. Posted Image Made things cumbersome when were required to use the Wii Mote+Nunchuke setup. Everyone else was like WTF when they found out.

I go, but in Miami the competition is so good.

So its difficult to place

Seibrik, Chaz, ESAM, Afro, Nick Riddle

Everyone I named are super fucking annoying and need to like get a life, but they are really good

Well everyone except for Chaz. He's a cool guy, but by association he is screwed

Anyways I main shit tier so again its just impossible to place. I can do alright against them, but a bad character - Ike - can only take you so far.

btw Marth vs Ike has to be like 70:30. That shit is fucking impossible.

37:63 Marth's favor.
Still easy with carefully timed jab cancels and LOTS of shorthop backairs, NAirs, and Fullhop FAirs. well, against the shit that is Oak Park, California, its easy...

I main Ike and I've been told that I play him well. He went up 5 spots in the latest tier list. I'm also learning Pit, and of course MK. :newyears:

I try to go to tournies, I've only been to one so far, because they've all been right before assessment tasks or whatever at school, we have a birthday to go to, etc. Like, there's one this Saturday but exams start for me on Friday, so...
I'll be going to the ones over the holidays though.

They have them at our school. Going to it was social suicide. I didn't go.
I don't play it at school. They have a video game club. Read: Halo/SSB club
I go to my friends house at lunch and we play it sometimes though.

I've actually been thinking about it. Although I don't even have the game yet nor console, so it would still be months before I attend even after buying the Wii+game due to practicing and such. I saw a couple of videos/threads though. It's actually quite interesting.

Seibrik, Chaz, ESAM, Afro, Nick Riddle

Seibrik seems to falter against good players that he doesn't have memorized. He relies on memorizing styles. Also, he's possibly the worst pro in doubles ever.

Marth sucks.

ESAM is ridiculous, easily FL's best player on a national level. Rapist.

Afro is...naturally talented, but doesn't play much. Honestly not a huge threat right now. He also shifts between mains sometimes, namely MK, Snake, and Wario. Hurts him a bit since he drops the others while playing one of them.

Nick Riddle is gimmicky as hell, but good. His character is horrible. Even Ike has an evenish match-up with her.

I will be going to tournaments shortly. I merely need tournaments to happen around my location and actually get too them. I have been playing with some people like exarch and such weekly for melee. Only recently found a brawl player nearby that I can play with, so no more wifi for me. Not that I can get it in college much anyways.

inui plays FE. This is such a huge revelation for me for some reason o.o
