It's amusing how you've started this RP, mainly defining each starting character restricting creativity for others, though I suppose a new character could walk through the door at any time. I'm generally not seeing this RP in a very favorable light yet though, probably because I don't like the concept of multiple races, Elves and such.
It'd probably help if you could use the signup page for extra information, I'm not aware of how in-depth you plan to make this, it's most likely another RP slapped together with very little planning, and therefore if I asked you about world lore, nations, reasons for the quest, I'd probably just get a dumb look, or receive an angry response telling me that you'll "work things out as they go."
My personal belief is that despite the above comments this RP will crash before ever taking off. Just like the others which have tried to start up here. But that's just my opinion, though I'll keep an eye on this for progress, as I'm not very impressed with the way Snowy manages his RP, and am currently looking for a new one.

One thing, I wasn't intending on anyone at the pub being a big character in the RP. I mean, it might happen. I could decide to do something with the brute later on, I dunno. But it's really just the scene of Shu's death, not the outset of any adventure itself.

Like Kanami said though, it seems a little too free-form at this point. I don't even know what to make for a character because I don't know anything about the setting. Or about the quest (there should be something we should be doing, standing around talking in character can only last so long). You don't have to be as detailed as Snowy, but you should probably think of something.

That being said, I'm super awesome, so keep them coming, lest I smite you!
Edit: I'm told double posting is a no no, so I'll just edit this in. Ironically enough, actually, as it was to inform that I did a minor edit to the first post, just wanted to make it clearer that Shu was split by the table, that didn't come later or anything.

Snowy's group see this RP as hostile competition, so I wouldn't expect them to:/
RPing is a competition? Huh, I guess I've been in the dark all this time. What are the rules of engagement for it?
The main problem with free-form is that people often don't know what to do with it; most RPers don't have initiative or don't feel comfortable taking control of things, and rely on someone else (usually the RP creator) to control things and direct their posts. In an RP where the creator leaves things more open-ended, alot of people will simply never post because of this. I don't see the problem with the lack of a well-defined "world" though; what, you really want to read through more crap about how elves are tall and dwarves like ale? Easier to just go with the flow, make assumptions or make things up as you go along, imo. Fantasy settings tend to be very similar to each other, the exact details and names of the things in them are mostly superfluous.

Edit: What I mean is that the world feels confined to the bar in the OP. There's nothing really to separate it or anything to give it any feeling of anything really beyond that bar.

My true feelings about this rp are as follows:
Good to keep influx of new LoAF members minimum(there's a bit of a balance in how many people the rp can handle)
Not as interesting(Snowy put a mountain of work into the LoAF universe which as a fanfic writer I can truly appreciate, whereas this rp seems thought up on a dare, no offense)
Too much overall freedom, and no grasp of retcon(I'd define that as a non-serious rp with no true structure or essential story components. Pretty friggin important to me.)
