I'm assuming Lucius, Rath, Nils, and Wallace are base level if you didn't bother with their stats.

Nils is at 3.51 (ballista), but I didn't bother with his stats since he's not going to be getting attacked anyway. I'll put the level in though, might be nice to track Ninian's use later on.

Chapter 11

8/8 turns

Unit Level HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res
Hector 3.20 21 8 5 6 3 9 0
Matthew 4.63 19 5 5 12 3 3 0

Pretty straightforward here. Hector and Matthew combined to break the wall on Turn 1, and they went west from there. Hector took all the kills that he could, since in order to 2HKO the boss with Wolf Beil, he had to proc Strength before the fight. Fortunately in fixed growths, that is guaranteed at level 2. Matthew unlocked the far door and then came back to steal the Red Gem off the thief. No lockpick, unfortunately, but it won't be too bad.

Hector moved into the boss's range on Turn 7 and chugged a Vulnerary. He countered, then killed on Player Phase. A 7 turn clear would be possible, but Hector would have had to dodge both of Wire's hits. He was being chased by an Archer, and if he had attacked instead of healed, Hector would be 2HKOd by a combination of the archer and boss.

You can two-turn Chapter 7 with a slightly blessed Florina (that can double Heintz with Slim Lance). Simply Rescue / Drop Lucius with Nils' help, have him counter Heintz, attack Heintz again and use Florina to finish him off.

Also, you can 5-turn Chapter 10 with Florina's help as well, but you can only give the Energy Ring to one of the cavs that way, unless you do it in 6 turns. Have Florina Rescue / Drop Wallace, then Lyn (onto the right fort, so that Florina won't get targeted by the Merc.) Florina needs to dodge an Archer or must use an Angelic Robe or else she will risk dying. Sain / Kent should rush to the Energy Ring village, Florina should make it in time to visit it, move one space right and have Sain / Kent use it. Wallace needs a bit of luck taking down Lundgren in 3 / 4 turns, but assuming he hits every time with the Iron Axe it is possible. Lyn will make it just in time for Lundgren to go down.

Also, in my efficient LM blitzthrough Serra was at... level 2 and a bit.

Thanks for the tips. I didn't even think about dropping Lucius for Chapter 7, so I sent Florina solo. It would have been quicker, except she had to kill the other Shaman first for a level to get the speed to double. Probably won't fix them this time, since I'm more concerned with HHM, but I'll keep those in mind for the future.

Chapter 12

5/13 Turns

Unit Level HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res Support
Hector 5.22 23 9 6 6 4 10 1
Eliwood 1.74 Base
Lowen 2.30 Base
Marcus 1.38 Base
Matthew 5.37 20 5 5 14 4 4 0
Serra 3.43 18 3 5 9 7 2 6
Oswin 9.25 Base
Dorcas 4.65 31 8 7 6 3 3 0
Bartre 2.11 Base
Rebecca 1.00 Base

Marcus time! Hector and Oswin wipe out the nearest Peg, and this leaves them well positioned to counter the others. Hector counters an archer with his Hand Axe, putting it in ORKO range for Matthew. Matthew lures the bandit, with Serra nearby to heal. He kills the Archer later, and was supposed to fight the Merc, but a hit from Hector at 11 display solved that. So much for the mountain. Total fluke, and not necessary, but it was kind of funny.

In the south, Dorcas grabs the fort and Marcus took the square underneath. Rebecca got and sold the Secret Book, since I needed cash and Matthew was fighting, unable to sell the Red Gem. The Peg and Brigand go after Dorcas, and both are weakened for Eliwood and Lowen. Marcus then grabs the fort and wipes out another bandit, and the remaining enemies were cleaned up by a combination. Marcus took the boss kill on Enemy Phase of Turn 5.

Chapter 13

9/22 Turns

Unit Level HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res Support
Hector 6.73 24 10 6 7 4 10 1 C Eliwood
Eliwood 2.92 19 5 5 7 7 5 0 C Hector
Lowen 3.19 24 7 5 7 4 8 0
Marcus 1.93 Base
Matthew 5.65 20 5 5 14 4 4 0
Serra 4.10 18 3 6 9 8 2 7
Oswin 9.62 Base
Guy 4.32 24 9 13 13 5 6 1
Dorcas 5.16 31 8 7 6 4 4 0
Bartre 3.39 30 10 6 4 4 4 0
Rebecca 1.41 Base

To start, Dorcas handed Hector an Iron Axe from his shopping trip. The rest of it will have to wait, but the Hand Axe had 2 uses and I wanted to conserve his Wolf Beil. Bartre baited the two closest pegs, and he and Dorcas killed them on Turn 2. Everyone besides those two went south, with Marcus in the lead. He killed the peg that attacked, leaving another peg, an archer, and a bandit for everyone to clean up. The enemy density in the southern part posed a problem, since I lacked 1-2 range (the axers needed a Hand Axe to fight the pegs and cav, and the other one was broken). Marcus parked on the fort to bait most of the enemies, killing one with the last uses of Hector's Hand Axe.

To get Guy, Marcus baited him. Things could have gotten ugly if Guy scored a crit, but he fortunately did not. Matthew then recruited him, and he was immediately put to work clearing the forts. Lowen and Hector sat on the forts after the enemies were dead to stop the reinforcements, and when they moved on, Rebecca and Matthew took over.

The cavs by the boss were a bit of a problem, especially the ones Marcus couldn't double. Despite having the Rapier, Eliwood was still not much use with them, as he still needed help to kill one Marcus weakened. He was quite challenging to find kills for. Guy, on the other hand, was quite useful. To stop the reinforcements, I attacked the boss with Marcus and his Silver Lance, rescued him with Lowen, then finished with Hector. I didn't want to kill with Hector because that pushed the seize back a turn, but it was better than getting killed by the reinforcements. I was only able to get to one shop, so I chose the Armory and bought some Javelins and a Hand Axe. Serra's Heal staff will have to last, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem with the limited time she has to heal stuff.

I was unable to get the village and kill the boss, which I needed to do to save the only turn possible here. So I don't have 5000 gold, but with the Red Gem still unsold, and a Goddess Icon coming up, I should be good on funds. It's not ranked, I can afford to buy what I need.To start, Bartre took Merlinus. I needed everyone useful to not get their stats cut, so he got the job. Matthew lit a torch and moved towards the center. Eliwood attacked an archer to get a really nice level, Marcus weakened a myrm on the eastern bridge for Lowen to kill with a Javelin, and Guy sat at the south bridge with his Killing Edge out to counterkill a bandit. On my next turn, Oswin was able to get to the west snag and shut off that group of enemies, finally leveling up in the process.

Since Marcus can't go to the village because I need him for Puzon, this part is a lot more relaxed. Guy just kept killing stuff on Player Phase in the south, which required a lot of killer uses but gave me some leeway. I made sure to use Hector's ability to OHKO nomads whenever it was safe to do so. Marcus mainly weakened enemies for Lowen and Eliwood, with Dorcas adding chip from a Hand Axe. The biggest problem was protecting Serra, and there were times when I couldn't get her where I wanted because of Nomads or bandits with 1-2 range. Marcus countered Puzon on Enemy Phase of Turn 6. He was then weakened, but some other enemies had to be mopped up so no one important died. Marcus then took the boss kill.

Killing Puzon on chapter 13x won't shave any turns. If the boss kill does not end the chapter on a defend map, then there is no way to save turns (I'm talking about the extra turn the game adds for full survival).

Thanks for clearing that up. The wording in the rankings section confused me there. If it's 8 turns regardless, I'll go back and get that gold. Could be worth some extra killers down the road.

Bartre 3.40 30 10 6 4 4 4 0
Rebecca 1.89 Base

This really didn't change much, except that I got the village and did not get the boss. Marcus broke towards the village on turn 4, after the bandits knocked the snag down. He counterkilled a bunch of them, got the village, and was back to help on Turn 6. Guy managed to end up with even less of the Killing Edge this time. He needed it to ORKO bandits and nomads in the south, but he refused to proc use saving crits this time. 5 uses left. Overall, I also got less exp, since I couldn't push as far north while Marcus was occupied.

Rebecca 2.00 18 4 5 7 4 3 1

This was a fairly easy fight, but I couldn't reach the Armory within my 5 turn clear. Maybe if I got Lowen down a little more it could have been done, but I needed him in other places for most of the fight. It shouldn't matter too much, since I can buy weapons at the beginning of Chapter 16, I can make what I have last. I did manage to get to the shop, and bought 3 Heal staves and a Fire tome.

To start, Lowen charged out and ORKOd a soldier. Marcus went right to the center of the enemy mass and attacked a merc with a Javelin. Oswin stayed behind to kills the soldiers and knight, and Dorcas stayed to help him with the pegs. Everyone else moved out as far as they could. On enemy phase, the weakened merc suicided on Lowen, and Marcus killed a lot of stuff with his Javelin.

Serra recruited Erk on Turn 2, and he was put to work killing a knight. Most of my units were put to work killing the weakened scraps of the enemy force. I had a small problem when Lowen missed a hit, but Guy was in the area to finish the kill. Marcus went into the far corner of Erik's range and killed a soldier with an Iron Axe. While Erik does have a Horseslayer, 11 damage wasn't going to scare Marcus off. He ended up missing, but it wouldn't have mattered if he hit. Eliwood chopped the remaining 2 health off the boss on Turn 3 for some easy exp, Hector and Erk positioned for support, and Marcus blitzed even farther towards the castle. He weakened a myrm with a Javelin, but I forgot he had a Vulnerary, and he went off to heal. Guy led the way south, followed by Bartre and Matthew. Marcus wiped everything else out on the next Enemy Phase except a nomad, that myrm, and a bandit that was still on the mountains.

Guy had counterkilled one pirate, then got the other. He obliterated both his Killing Edge and one enemy cav on Enemy Phase of Turn 4, leaving just one for him, Lowen, Matthew, and Bartre to deal with. They managed easily enough, and despite the rain, Bartre got to the vendor. Marcus wiped out the Myrm with an attack, positioned himself to counterkill the Bandit, and then ended the chapter with a strike to the last nomad.

It feels good to have beaten Erik's unheeded call for reinforcements. Poor guy never got to ask, since Marcus dominated everything in sight.

Priscilla 3.67 16 6 6 8 7 3 6

Marcus makes everything so easy... Anyway, I did not bring Dorcas, Bartre, Rebecca, or Serra for this chapter. Since there's no way to speed this up, I figured it would be best to try and get some exp for units that will be around longer. My guess is that Serra, who is already lagging in levels, will only get in a worse predicament due to her inferior mobility, so I opted to bring only Priscilla.

Marcus baited a Longbow from the boss. Guy went towards the north entrance, everyone else went south. On Turn 2, Marcus ORKOd the boss with a Hand Axe (Nice job weighing yourself down, buddy.) From there, the reinforcements were stopped, and everything was simple. Matthew stole the lockpick before the thief was killed, and everyone mopped up the remaining enemies. Hector and Eliwood got a good amount of support points built up. I wasn't counting, but they be reasonably close to B. As for most of the other supports... They will be difficult to make happen. Maybe Cs, but it's tough to keep units together.

Wil 3.84 21 7 6 6 7 5 0

I deployed Marcus, Eliwood, Lowen, Erk, Serra, Priscilla, and Guy. There was a lot of ground to cover in this chapter, and Oswin would lag behind.

To start, Wil went to the left armory and stocked up on swords and axes. This put him in range of a Javelin Peg, which he could counter and 2HKO. Kent went to the other Armory. Sain moved in range of the first merc to counter. Everyone in the north charged towards combat, with a rescue drop from Marcus and Lowen used to get Hector a little farther. Florina went towards the village, but she helped with the initial rush first.

Kent ORKOd one peg in the south and Wil finished the other. Sain moved in to counter the Brigand near the village, while Lyn moved in to finish the Myrm that Kent would fight on Enemy Phase. When the fighting was done, Kent and Sain ran north to join the main force, while Lyn stayed behind to get exp off the bandit reinforcements.

Marcus led the way as usual, obliterating the group of four cavs on Enemy Phase. He took a lot of damage from all the enemies, so Priscilla had to go up and heal him. This led to a scramble to kill everything in sight, as the ballista + any enemy would certainly kill her. Erk was really nice to have in this section, because no one else could compare to his excellent 2 range and speed. Marcus waited by the forts, countered some more stuff, and everyone advanced. Once it was clear the ballista could be handled, Florina entered the fray. Kent and Sain caught the tail end of this, and killed a merc each. For the boss, Marcus weakened with a Hand Axe, and Lowen parked next to him with the Heavy spear. He missed on his turn 7 counter, but Hector wasn't at the throne yet anyway. Erk weakened the boss again, and Lowen hit the second time. The backup plan, in case he missed twice (it waa only 53 display) was to have Marcus kill him with the Hand Axe. Fortunately, he didn't have to. Right before the Seize, Lyn visited the vendor to grab me some Door Keys.

Matthew 7.07 22 6 6 14 5 4 1

I deployed Marcus, Eliwood, Priscilla, Guy, Kent, Sain, Lowen, Erk, and Matthew. Eliwood is probably not optimal in a lot of these chapters, but he needs exp so I can get 24 Linus. Even if it ends up costing me a turn or two, the difference in those chapters should make it up. Since this is a very large chapter, I need more mounts to do rescue chains, so Oswin and Serra get the boot again. Florina could have been deployed, but with over half of the enemies wielding bows and no flight advantages, I decided it wasn't worth it. I gave Kent the Dragonshield from Chapter 15 in battle prep.

The trickiest part of this was actually getting the proper first turn setup. Eventually, I made my goal to kill the farthest Archer I could with Marcus, and worked with that. Erk demolished the armor, Guy and Kent combined to kill the myrm, Sain and Lowen took the Merc, then Marcus rushed up to kill an archer. This took a few tries to get the positioning right and for the RNG to cooperate (I had a few 86 display misses from Lowen that threw things off). The positioning had to end up with Kent able to enter the far square of the Shaman's range, as he was the only one who could ORKO the shaman with a Javelin (besides Marcus, but he was busy).

On Turn 2, Marcus broke ranks and charged right at them, with Lowen close behind. Hector OHKOd the nomad with Wolf Beil, Erk took an archer, and Guy weakened one with an Iron Blade for Eliwood. Kent ORKOd the final entrance archer with a Javelin, and did the same thing to the Shaman on Enemy Phase, leaving Matthew free to loot the treasure.

Marcus led the way for the rest of it, parking on the last square of the long hallway west with a Hand Axe to kill the masses of enemies. Priscilla was in range to recruit Raven on Turn 5, and did so. At that point, Marcus was in range to stop the enemy thieves, but since I couldn't afford to wait for Matthew, I needed one to get me the Knight Crest. One suicided onto Marcus, the other opened the door. Kent was behind, so he carried people like Erk and Hector back towards the front. Marcus killed the knight outside the throne room, the mage, and one more knight inside before Kent got up with Hector. Lowen took out the thief and got the Knight Crest, while everyone else piled into the room with the archers to salvage some exp. Marcus had the Hammer, so he killed the other Knight and tried to ORKO the boss. He missed one hit, but since Hector was too far away, it didn't cost a turn, and the kill and seize were done on Turn 10. Merlinus died somewhere in there, but no one cares about him.

Marcus now has 12 speed, which will be nice to have. Erk continues to be great for ORKOing stuff, although I'd imagine Kent would be too if he got the ring instead of Erk. I am getting concerned with the levels on my Lords, since I'm still a long way from 50 combined. At this rate, I can't even count on Hector getting to 20, which will make getting the easier 24 a bit of a challenge. Still waiting on Eliwood to be useful.

Efficiencywise, I'd rather keep Eliwood and Lyn underleveled and go to Lloyd's version of FFO. You can 3 turn it with Ninian in theory but I don't know that for a fact. Besides, Geitz isn't worth the extra turns IMO. He doesn't do anything that another combat user can't do.

You can two-turn it, Lloyd's range extends to the space occupied by Marcus at 0:51 in my video:

Lloyd's ranged Runesword attack can be weakened with Pure Water. Also, Kenneth's PFoD is far shorter than Jerme's PFoD since it is a straightforward Seize map instead of Jerme's Rout.

Well, that makes things a lot easier. It's probably bad that I never got that chapter before, but that will change this time. Sorry Eliwood and Lyn, you don't make the cut. Lyn is Lyn, and it's getting tough to feed Eliwood enough kills to get him where he needs to be because his combat's still bad and he's not mounted.

As for Kenneth's map, I was hoping to get there. The axers are done, and with Raven around, I don't really need Guy anymore. So hopefully between Erk, Priscilla, and a bit of Serra, I can make up the gap.

Chapter 17x

4/65 Turns

Unit Level HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res Support
Hector 9.85 27 12 8 8 5 12 2 C Eliwood
Erk 11.08 24 11 10 12 6 4 8
Priscilla 5.27 17 6 7 8 9 3 7
Raven 6.71 30 11 14 14 3 6 2
Oswin 12.01 30 14 10 6 4 15 4
Florina 7.56 28 7 10 12 10 5 6
Canas 8.00 21 10 9 8 7 5 8

Since this one basically has a set turn limit of Florina getting to Fargus, this is just a chance to get some exp. Oswin was deployed for walling, Priscilla for healing, Raven for some exp, Erk to counter that gain, and obviously Florina. She went off solo towards Fargus, visiting the house for Canas and the Short Bow. Raven broke north to kill all the pirates for some decent exp gains. Oswin took the lead in the south, followed by the others.

Oswin countered the Swordslayer and Halberd pirates on Enemy Phase. Erk killed the Halberd one, Oswin finished the Swordslayer one. Hector moved down below Oswin to bait the boss with his Wolf Beil, and Priscilla took his spot to heal Oswin. The enemies charged, and the boss was weakened. A pirate blocked the other square adjacent to the boss, so Erk killed that one. Oswin weakened him again with Horseslayer, and Hector killed. Florina talked to Fargus and ended it.

I'm also grabbing the enemy stats for this chapter, in case anyone needs them for a debate or something.

Chapter 18

3/68 Turns

Unit Level HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res Support
Hector 10.40 27 12 8 8 5 12 3 C Eliwood

Erk 11.37 24 11 10 12 6 4 8

Matthew 7.17 22 6 6 14 5 4 1

Hector, Marcus, Oswin, Kent, Sain, Priscilla, Matthew, and Erk were deployed. I did several runthroughs of this, attempting to manage a 3 turn completion and still get the Guiding Ring. The plan was to have Florina carry Matthew down and drop him in the boss's range on Turn 2, while Marcus blitzed his own way down. That part worked fine. The part that didn't work is that even while maxing Marcus's move, he could not get 2 squares in front of where I needed to drop Matthew, which meant one of the Shamans in front of the boss would go for Matthew instead of suiciding on Marcus. And since it seems the Nosferatu one moves before his Flux buddy, he's the one in the way. Florina was a long way off from ORKOing him, which is what would have needed to happen to make this work. So no Guiding Ring. I'll have to make sure to get the one in 20, or Erk and Priscilla will be waiting a long time.

Erk and Kent combined to kill one merc, while Oswin and Sain comboed another. Marcus charged down and annihilated a shaman. Everyone relevant had Javelins for Enemy Phase, and did some clearing out. Marcus wiped out some more shamans and an archer, but a Merc ends up blocking his path. Hector weakens then kills one peg, while Matthew steals the Elysian Whip off the other. Erk finishes the Merc in Marcus's way, and Kent rescues him back to safety. Marcus gets closer to the boss and uses a Vulnerary.

The southern rush of pegs decides to suicide on Sain, while Oswin continues to block the merc group. The Elysian Whip peg takes a shot at Priscilla, who was placed to draw that one away from Sain. Don't want him getting killed, after all. Everyone takes what kills they can on Turn 3. Kent missed because he was still carrying Erk, but that didn't matter much. Matthew did some shopping to replenish my supply of 1-2 range weapons, then Marcus killed the boss.

Dart 8.33 34 12 8 8 3 6 1

Hector, Marcus, Priscilla, Raven, Kent, Sain, Lowen, Erk, Florina, Oswin, Serra, and Matthew were deployed. I thought about bringing Lyn for the boss, but I realized there wouldn't be time to get her down to fight, and that it would be all Marcus as usual.

Matthew lit a Torch, making sure to stay out of the peg's range, and Dart sat on the forest on the edge of its range to weaken it. Erk went south, parked on a fort, and ORKOd a cav. He actually ORKOd all the enemies in that southern area, proving effective as usual. Oswin blocked the north bridge with a Javelin, and Lowen did the same 2 squares behind him. On Enemy Phase, a Pirate attacked Lowen while a peg suicided into him. Oswin took out the other pegs and weakened the nomads with Javelin counters, missing one. On Turn 2, Serra healed Lowen, who killed the Pirate that went after him. Oswin stabbed the healthy nomad with his Horseslayer, ORKOing. Fiora killed the other one when she arrived, and was then sent back to fight pirate reinforcements after getting recruited. Lowen used a Javelin to ORKO all the peg reinforcements that appeared. Fiora, Florina, and Erk once he was done, worked together to wipe out the Pirate reinforcements.

Sain got the main group moving by breaking the snag. Marcus charged onto the center island with a Javelin, and everyone else followed along. He killed some cavs and nomads to clear some space on Enemy Phase. Kent and Sain combined to take out the Longbow nomad, Raven and Marcus each killed a pirate. After Marcus wiped more enemies out, Kent and Sain comboed on another nomad, while Raven and Hector formed a wall to keep Priscilla safe. On Turn 4, Marcus got the Torch staff off the thief, and put himself in range to attack Uhai on the next turn. Hector OHKOd a nomad, and Kent, Sain, and Raven continued cleanup. Marcus countered the myrm with his Silver Lance, since that thing had tons of health and needed to die, since it was in the way. Sain killed a nomad with the Longsword, Raven and Hector took some others, and Kent took out that myrm, clearing Marcus's way to the boss.

This part did require some luck. Marcus faces Uhai while his Killing Edge is out. This means Marcus's hit rates with his Silver Lance are just fine, but he had to avoid 26% crit rates twice. My other fighters were able to keep most of the remaining enemies off of him, barring one nomad that could not kill Marcus. On Turn 6, everyone got what exp they could, and Marcus killed the boss.
