Survival from the day is what is needed, and having a outsider poking around, claiming to be better and considering your people to be barbaric because you wear animal hide is something unacceptable. I am proud of my work. Here." she produced one of her recently-made obsidian arrows. "I made this last night. I make arrows from rock. Each is personal and I make sure not to waste them. I am a country girl because of this."

"Well we could always retreat if things take a turn for the worse, though they do fly...anyway let's talk to Amon after we get ourselves ready," Veronika said to Raquel. I keep having to replace my clothing with all these battle wounds...might have to look into getting some repairs.

"Eh wut? Guh I guess I'll get up," he said to Gabbie, stumbling out of bed. "I can sleep in the wagon to wherever we're going, right?" he asked Gabbie while gathering his things from around the room.

Lysandra

"Yes, I suppose he would be interested in Dolan's experiments. And there have been a rash of crimes with unclear perpetrators all around Ursium recently...perhaps events are coming to a head sooner than we had expected. Luckily, my research is almost complete...just a few minor issues to resolve beforehand," Lysandra said, sipping her tea.

Zel looked at Robin, cause her last statement had horribly confused him. What? I never mentionned anything about outsiders, or thinking that said outsiders are better than the locals... "Miss, I'm afraid that your statement about outsiders has left me a little befuddled, but as for pride, that is why I respect your people, and is also why I refer to you so properly." He said, looking out the window to check on Sliep, who, as far as he could tell, hadn't moved. At all. Man that horse is well trained.

"I am sorry." she said, slumping forwards. "I am a bit sleepy. I was awake all night making these arrows. Please, there is no need to be polite like that. Just use my name and that will be fine. I am not the most polite with Ursium people, I hope you understand. Here. Have my drink as an apology." she said, sliding the cup forwards to him before following his gaze to the horse. "Do not worry. I do not think your horse will run away on you unless you are a horrible rider. I would assume that only the worst of Ursium riders would be that bad."

Zel chuckled again, pushing the cup back. "That's ok, Robin, I made sure to have a proper meal and drink before I came here." Before returning his gaze to his stoic companion. "Heck, I doubt the worst rider in the world could make Ursium Military horse run away. They're thouroughly trained since birth to respect their owner, as well made familiar with all the sounds and chaos of war. Atleast, that's what I'm told from the man I recieved Sliep from. Now that I think about it, I might be here for far longer than I thought." He marched over to the inn door and stepped out side. One could hear him click his tongue a few times. Sliep turned to Zel,ear twitching. Zel clicked twice more and Sliep trotted over to the nearby grass field and began grazing. Zel nodded and made his way back inside.

"You have him trained to non-vocal commands? Interesting." commented Robin as Zel returned inside. "I have never had a trained or domesticated animal before. It must be interesting or nice. It would make hunting a lot easier if I could just click my tongue a few times to get the deer to stop in their tracks. Or better yet, faint like a goat."

"Then you couldn't really call it 'hunting' anymore could you?" Zel asked. "There would be no skill involved, no challenge, no real honor. Acquiring meat would be like acquiring grain, and it would lose it's... nobility? I guess one could say." He said, re-adjusting spear he had resting on his back.

Robin laughed slightly. "Aye. Then people would hunt simply for sport. That is a horrid reason to hunt. I have the skill to hunt, the skill to ensure that my arrows never kill another human, and that I am proud of."

Domovoi opened his mouth to introduce himself but some knight came in and thought the question was for him and so Robin and the knight started to have a conversation. Deciding it would be unwise to interrupt, he instead leaned against the wall, continuing his thoughts on what would need to do today.

If I get the chance, I should do some training. I haven't had any chances to do so and I'll probably need some to do well in the upcoming battles. I need a partner though....perhaps Veronika? Or maybe that other wyvern rider can help out. That reminds me, I should check up on Miskavolv soon. Maybe I'll get some breakfast and give him some of it. He hasn't been eating particularly good food recently and it's probably making him bad tempered. Hopefully the food'll be good here.

"It's one you should be." Zel said, "Though, you refuse to aim to kill?" he asked with a slight tilt of his head.

Robin looked down, ashamed of her mentioning the vow she had taken after the fight. She must be more tired than she thought. "I was recently part of a slave, errr..., 'volunteer' army that took part in a raid. I was badly wounded." she pointed to the damage on her clothing as proof. "It was the first time I had been involved in a fight. The first time I had actually seen people dying. I met a man just before named 'Tanner'. He was supposed to keep an eye on me to ensure I didn't revolt I guess but... I did not even know him for a week."

She looked at Zel, then at the other man whom had approached her earlier, yet resigned himself to a corner. "I have the skill to make sure that they do not die. I can wound and fell them without killing. You can do it with your weapons, right?"

OOC: Even if it was repaired, there would be repair-stitches.

"We're trained to, in fact, I was trained to disable before I was trained to kill." Zel said. "I may not revel in the kill, but sometimes it is necessary." He turned to the man who had approached earlier and gave him a wave. "Come sir, there is no reason to be a stranger!"

Amon

It didn't take the Rexian long to finish his breakfast, and he took the plate into the kitchen, washed his hands and face, and then came back into the common room. It might have been a good idea to let Raquel know that someone was waiting to speak with her, so he decided to head upstairs and see if she had woken up yet.

Raquel

"Heheh, yeah we could definitely use some more bow wielders if we're going to be messing with fliers." she replied as she got up from the bed and put her hands up in her hair to find out just how bad the damage was. It felt moderate, with long parts tangled, and short parts sticking in random directions. "Alright, freshen up, and then find Amon." she said repeating the plan.

By the time Amon arrived, Raquel had almost finished and was combing her hair. Her odd outfit with the purple cloak was already donned as well. When he knocked on the door, Amon answered saying "It's me, Amon."

"Oh, perfect timing." she said in a low voice.

"There's a ... guy downstairs who wants to talk to you. I think he's a knight ... or something." he said through the door, recalling what he could about the man.

"A knight? I guess that's not the payment for the mission, then. I'll be out in a second."

Gabriel

"Oh? That's good news." he said leaning forward. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Gabriella

"Sleep wherever ya want, man." she replied sounding surprised he even asked.

We'll talk about stitches later. Raquel hasn't had a chance to return her clothes yet.

Once outside John had gone to where he left off Gil, unsurprised to see the wyvern was still asleep. 'Figures.' He thought as he looked among his stuff for something to eat.

'I guess the downside from this would be the lack of variety.' He thought grabbing a fruit. 'Well, maybe next time we stay in a inn I'll buy something then.' And so he went on his way back inside, eating on the way.

"Hmm?" Bert straightened up from leaning on Rizen's neck as he ehard hooves approaching from behind him. Twisting in his saddle to see who it was, he was pleasantly surprised to see Valter approaching. He directed Rizen to turn around so he could speak to him more comfortably. "I thought you were returning to the church after last night. What brings you here?" he asked, mouth smiling but eyes still set almost challengingly, as they usually were.

While Synthia looked around for her tome, Maw slipped into the room through the window. Around the same time, Gytha stirred and stretched. "Mornin'..." she muttered as she pushed the blankets asside and began rubbing her eyes to clear them.

Phyllis snorted, and Valter absently patted her neck. “Nah, my job’s finished there for the moment. I was just about to return home,” he said with a halfhearted laugh. He tried to direct Phyll closer to the pegasus, but failing that, he instead dismounted and walked the remaining distance between them, stopping a few feet from Bert. “Why I’m here though… Look, could I ask you a favor? I’d do it myself, but...”

“Morning, Gytha,” Synthia grumbled. She was sitting in the middle of the room moping with her things strewn about her.

Shadrak had been up for a good portion of the morning already. He was sitting legs crossed on his bed, tome floating in front of him, seeming to radiate dark energy as he meditated deeply.

"Depends on what it is. If you're not doing anything, you might as well stick around yourself, though," Bert replied. Something's bothering him...

Back at the inn, John noticed not much had changed since he left. They all seemed to still be in conversation. Since he had no reason to return to the room, he decided to stay here to finish off eating.

“I’d really rather not, that’s why I’m asking you,” Valter said, scratching his head. “I just need you to deliver something for me.” Bert definitely wasn’t his first choice for the job, but he was the only person outside when he rode up, so he'd have to do.
