Robin waited for a moment for the man to respond. Then, after a bit, she decided he was not interested in joining in the conversation. Sighing, she returned her attention to Zel. "You know how to disable instead of kill? I can aim well and know how to stop wild animals well enough, but not humans."

Zel nodded, with what he heard that made sense. "Typically, good places to aim when using deadly weapons are just inside the shoulders, and upper legs. Depending on if you want to Disarm first or stop them from running." He said, specifically pointing out the areas on himself "The problem with those areas is that, with the Shoulders, is that 1: they tend to be well protected, and 2: you miss, you might hit a lung, or there heart, with the legs, well, if the blow isn't direct you aren't really going to stop your foe, especially since they tend to be well armorred as well." He explained, again, tapping his own armor to emphasize that the areas were indeed well coverred.

"You'd rather not? What's so bad about delivering something?" Bert persisted, "I'll help you out, but--" He was cut off by his own stomach growling, which made him angry with his stomach for interrupting him and for making clear a weakness Bert was going through: low on money which lead to low on food which led to low on energy. However, this was enough of a frustration that Bert tightened his core muscles and socked himself in the stomach. Since he'd prepared for the blow, it didn't hurt too much. "SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO SOMEONE!!!" he demanded of the digestive organ. "Hrph. Anyway. If it has to do with not wanting to see someone in particular, that's all the more reason to do it yourself. Besides, I was hoping to get your help with something," the pegasus knight finished, still somewhat annoyed with his empty belly for having been so rude.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"That's no good," Gytha muttered as she finished getting ready for the day. Once she, herself, was done, she tended to Maw, gently unwrapping the cat's head.
"Your armor will be a problem as well for other reasons. Obsidian arrows are brittle and hitting something as hard as plate will cause them to shatter. It took hours to make all these. To lose one would be a tragedy." she said before reclining back. "You seem to be okay for a Ursium soldier Zel. If you get accepted by Raquel, I wouldn't mind maybe practicing with you."
Finished with packing the rest of his belongings, Ranyin slung his bag, ready to leave the room. He then turned around to retrieve his painting when he felt a sudden breeze slip into the room blowing the painting at the window gently. An idea sprung into Ranyin's mind as he took out his wind tome. It was simple matter for him to cast the magic to have the breeze blow the painting to him from the window to the door he was at. Ah, the opportunity to hone my magical skills and get something done, wonderful thought Ranyin.
He started casting and the wind began picking up, circulating around the room. The picture shifted a little, raising slowly into the wind...
Connor
"Nnh ok," Connor mumbled as a sleepy, semi-coherent response, eventually working his way out the door and into the lobby of the hotel, all of his things in hand.
Lysandra
"I can't think of anything at the moment necessarily. Once it becomes time to enact the plan we may need some additional help, as I doubt Sardis and the others will take too kindly to our interference...and if they have enough people to be prowling around here there may be more than I expected. I'm certainly no pushover, but I'm no spring chicken either," Lysandra replied to Gabriel, smiling a little.
“What’s so bad? It’s- ...” Valter suddenly trailed off, stared at the Pegasus knight for a moment, and then laughed. He was quick to stop himself, but that just made his day. Really, who punched and yelled at their stomach for growling?
The bowman coughed slightly and tried to keep a straight face when he spoke again. “I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to do it myself, for me or anyone else. How about this instead? I get you something to quell your poor starving stomach, then you deliver the item for me. Fair enough?”
-----
Swell, Gytha, just great. Was she even paying attention? Synthia looked up for a moment to confirm that no, she wasn’t paying attention, she was tending to her cat. The cat with the bandaged eye socket. Wait a minute… “Gytha, you ever tried having Maw’s eye healed by a staff before?”
"Deal," was Bert's immediate reply, "And when that's done, I have something I'd like to talk to you about." Free food~ Thank Mercy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Aye... It's too old a wound and a'sides, th' eye's comepletely gone. Nothin' t' repair and replacin's impossible," Gytha replied as she applied the ointment to the inside of the socket. When that was done, she carefully began wrapping the cat's head again with a clean bandage. Once that was finished, Maw curled up to rest for a while.

As he completed the spell, Ranyin suddenly recalled in horror that he had done the amateur mistake of not specifying the direction of where the painting should move. Gleefully, in Ranyin's mind's eye, the wind snatched the painting and of all directions it could choose to move it, it chose to carry the painting out of the window and have it hover around the inn entrance tauntingly.

Frantically, Ranyin rushed to the window in a weak attempt to make a feeble grab for the painting. Unfortunately for him, it was too far away and by the time he was ready to cast a spell to call the painting back, it might have fallen to the ground and get trampled on.

He could barely make out the figures of Bert and his pegasus conversing with the nomad who joined them in battle last night. The pegasus! He could use his pegasus to get it, thought Ranyin as hope swelled to him. He raised his voice and screamed, "My painting! Bert! My painting!"

Gabbie

Once Connor was ready to go, she had him get on Ringo. She got on herself once she was sure the harness was still secure, and then they took off. Normally she wouldn't have been flying with her wyvern in the daytime, but it was more important for her to reach the group quickly, and on top of that, she had something else she needed to do first. Flying back to Weyland Enterprises, she landed and dismounted in front of the main entrance.

"I'll be roight back. Just need to see about the rew-Wha?" she cut herself off when a familiar woman came trotting out the door with some rather large bags in her hand. "Oh hi there, 09!"

"... Anna ... hi. What's with the bags?"

"Oh we were going to bring you the reward money, but I was bored so I wanted to handle it. It was the perfect excuse to get out of that desk, teehee!"

"What? You're a desk worker. Why would they send you to deliver our reward money? I'm actually surprised you're even holdin' those up loike that." she replied crossing her arms.

"I'm only a desk worker some of the time. Other times I'm on recon, or patrol."

"PATROL?! What the hell?!"

Gabby

"Heh, well so much for keeping myself busy then." he said before finishing off the tea in his cup. He'd forgotten to do it slowly and only caught himself mid gulp. After that, a sigh, and the cup was sat down. "Though, I suppose I could keep an eye out for this 'help' we might need."

The knight in Shini- no wait, Glowing Armor

Zel chuckled. "I hope you don't mean target practice Robin. As for being accepted, I don't even know if I want to join yet. That depends on what this group is doing." he said with nod.

I don't think Dark describes it.

Chelsea slowly stirred nearby, sitting up with a stretch and a yawn. Shadrak stopped his meditation to drop the magic field, as not to stifle her so much. The Tome fell into his hands before he got up and crawled out of bed. "I'll let you wake and freshen up." He said as he put his robe on, pocketing his tome. Chelsea just nodded drowsily. Shadrak smiled and headed out, the door opening for him with a simple flick of the wrist before he was even there, and closing behind him automatically as he walked out and down the stairs.

He went to the inn keep and set some coin on the counter and orderred himself some breakfest, taking a seat out of the way from everyone else when it arrived, eating it slowly.

((GoD gave permission to CC Chelsea so that we can get the show on the road.))

Eheheheh, perfect. “Alright, shall we be off, then?” the nomad replied, mounting his horse. He looked up as Ranyin began yelling and noticed the paper floating in the wind. “Well, after this I suppose.”

-----

“Oh,” Synthia replied simply and began placing her things back in her bag. When she finished she slung it over her shoulder and stood up, ready to leave. “Well, I’m going downstairs… I’ll see you later, I guess.”

Veronika

Veronika put on a new tunic and went out to the main area of the inn. She saw John eating and waved hello.

"Morning John. How's Gil doing?" she asked him, taking out some fruit to eat as well.

Connor

Connor figured he was tired and must have heard things incorrectly. "Patrol? Why would a hotel receptionist go on patrol? Isn't that usually a job where you, uh, stay at the desk all day?" he asked Anna.

Lysandra

"Oh, I'm sure you can find plenty of things to do without my direction. Find a nice girl, take her out to dinner or something," she said to Gabriel, laughing a little. "But if you're really in need of something to do, we could probably use a ship in the future as well...one to get us past the warzone. It may take some time to find someone willing to risk a voyage," Lysandra said, finishing her tea.

"I'll just help Ranyin out real quick then yeah. ... Actually, I might take him along, if you don't mind," Bert replied, waiting a moment to go into the air for Valter's reply. Might as well pick him up from there while I'm up there.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh, we gettin' ready t' leave?" Gytha asked. She was all set for that. All she had to do was move move her things intot the wagon.
''Hm? Ah, good morning.'' John said once he noticed Veronika. ''Gil?'' The question got him a little confused. 'Why would she be wondering about Gil?' ''He's... fine I guess. Currently sleeping.''
"Then you will need to talk to Raquel. I do not know the true goal of this group myself. I only know that it is the best way for me to return to my home for now. Once we return to Neviskotia, I am not sure myself. I could very well return to my family, and I am sure that they would love that. Do not worry either about the target practice. My father taught me well. If I did use you for target practice, I promise it would only be non-vital parts of your body I would target." she took a small sip of her water. "Of course, what 'non-vital' means likely differs between us."
“Yeah, sure, the more the merrier,” Valter replied, leaning back in his saddle.
-----
“Oh, I don’t think we’re leaving yet. I just want to be down there early to ask some questions,” the healer said, crossing her arms. She opened the door and walked out. “I swear, if that bastard stole my tome…”
Bert didn't waste any more time. He shot into the air on Rizen's back and snatched up the desired piece of paper before flying over to Ranyin's window. "Hey, Ranyin, do you have all your stuff packed? I'm going to go talk with Valter and if you'd like to come along, you're welcome to. Be careful not to cut your legs on my axe, though, when you get on Riz's back if you're coming. She hates getting blood on her," he asked his teammate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"A'right," Gytha replied as she followed the healer, "C'mon, Maw." And sure enough, the cat followed after them.

"Thanks Bert, you sure saved me a lot of trouble," said Ranyin while his mind digested everything Bert said. Or rather, what it implied. Oooh, I get to ride the pegasus! 8D

"Yes I have all my stuff packed. Do I ride Riz now?" asked Ranyin eagerly measuring his small size against the small framed window as common sense started leaving him. I should be able to squeeze through if I just let my bag go ahead of me...

Veronika

"He does that a lot doesn't he? Wyverns all have their own pecularities I suppose just like people, though they are quite useful. But you managed to hold your own well enough last fight without his help. Our...teammate seems to have less confidence in my abilities," Veronika said to John rather bitterly.
