And to show that Eliwood and Hector apparently did something meaningful, like, save the world or some shit.

It could have been worse than average. They could have tried to make an entire game out of, like, one city. As in, never leave it. And a city that had never been important or otherwise tied to any sort of plot or character element whatsoever :(

Also, the rumour appears to be jumping around. I'd blame it on the still-awful title selection of the 3DS. Any news is good news.

GoNintendo is also reporting on the rumor as well.

While I still think this rumor is fake, if there is any chance of it being real, the only time I can think of in the near future that Nintendo would make the announcement is at the Tokyo Game Show.

I spit on your grave. Baldur's Gate was an awesome game.

If they make any FE announcement, it's that the rumors are horrendousy delivered and not believable to not start any hopes getting high business, and that the starters have been sacked.

Guys, I have info on Fire Emblem Raging Erection of Fire for the Wii-U.

It takes place 776 years after Celice liberates the continent. The game will once again have 2 generations with brand new improved love mechanic. To support a lover, you engage in hardcore hentai scenes to make babies. The better you do in these scenes, the more powerful your kids will become.

S'about damn time.

Seriously, the whole thing seems sorta BS. And I personally would much rather see a new world than another Elibe game.

to me the only thing that would give a hint that a FE7/FE6-related sequel is in any way plausible is that smash bros. has featured both roy and lyn so would help pave the way for something set in that universe. but by that reasoning, another game featuring ike would be much more likely (please, god! that would be RAWESOME).

ALL OF MY MONEY

Man, that's the kick needed for Fire Emblem to finally become mainstream!

About the rumour spreading, don't you just love it when the rumour goes full circle (this Japanese site is reporting the rumour originating from foreign sources).

Oh lol

Obviously the Red Demon Lance is Vaida's uber spear, after FE6 they flung away the dusty old Fire Emblem and Sealed Sword and the Uber Spear became Berns new National Treasure. The blue sacred sword is the Durandal...painted blue.

This rumor has constantly been on my mind ever since it appeared. Personally speaking, I would like to see this rumor to be true, because I like the continent of Elibe and would definitely be interested in the events that take place on it a century later after FE6.

As for whether or not I believe in this rumor, I honestly don't see nor agree with anything that is against the validity of it. I feel rather assured that this is real, or at least it has some kind of basis to it. That's just me, though.

Is this just one game or is it actually two games and you have to trade with a friend to get all the version-exclusive characters? (seriously, the title makes it sound like Fire Emblem is going the way of the Pokemon games)
