I've finished my Shadow Dragon playthrough on normal a few days ago. It was pretty easy to me as I've already played both FE1 and FE3: book 1. I wonder what difficulty I should choose next. Just H1 or would H2/H3 also be a good choice? I'm planning on eventually playing H5 but I realize I'd better first play a bit easier mode. Which do you suggest?

H2 is a good start. Once you're comfy with that, jump to H3.

just stay with normal mode, hard mode isn't worth losing Frey for!
(yeah, I'm just grumpy I lost on the second turn of the first hard mode. I hoped to solo it with Marth)

It'll make you hate FEDS, FE, the DS, life, and yourself but it's worth it.

H2's not too bad. I played it on my first run, the start and end-game took a little getting used to. Generally, as long as you don't do anything silly, you should be fine.

Try H2 & H3 if you crave a challenge. If you find it too hard though, restart on H1!

Thanks everyone. I will either start with H2 or H3, the opinions seem equally divided of which one I should start first so I'm not quite sure yet... I guess I'll start with H3 and if it's too difficult for the time being I'll do H2.

Honestly, just jump to H5 like what GH and Integ said.

I mean, not worth wasting your time on a hard mode when there's a mode EVEN HARDER than that. The reason I play H1 is for drafts, otherwise I'd play Lunatic Mode on FE12... although I should probably man up and play Lunatic Revere instead.

Despite the fact that you're agreeing with me on the surface, this is an utterly ridiculous statement to make. So games should just have two modes: My Little Pony and Super Meat Boy?

*scratches head* no, I guess not. However I did think he was asking for difficulty, hence the statement. I just dont like playing a lower difficulty when I know there's a bigger challenge( Lreverse an exception- its a whole different level )

I would tend to try the harder difficulties at first. If i am good enough, problem solved but if it was out of my league, i would do a lower difficulty.

I tried to do Maniac mode of FE12 but i kept dying so moved to FE12 Hard. I beat it now and i am trying Maniac again!

Also, I was totally kidding, I would do something like H2 to start with, just to familiarize yourself with the game.

I've only played any FEDS HM once, and that was H1

H2 or H3 should be decent.

Agreed with the above. I went straight from normal -> H5. It's certainly a challenge, but you'll know you can take the worst the game can throw at you.
