Karin benefits from it more than Mareeta, though Mareeta can take the Elite sword and whack a few heads if you wanna do that . It's not that hard to get her to at least level up once or even twice in her join chapter if you're just going casual since she faces her favourite enemy type there, and she's pretty fun to use if you're not blitzing through chapters, but Karin does have flying and all that jazz and yadayada over her.

And Evayle isn't worth it for endgame, but I rescue her because I'm a perfectionist.

Edit: Dio beat me to Elite Sword herp

Ronan seems interesting, I may try to scroll abuse him.

Marty really confuses me.
With aa little scroll abuse and early promotion, it appears that he can become good.

Protip: everyone in the game will be good with scroll abuse. If you're willing to go out of your way to use Marty and Ronan, you might as well just use whoever you like, rather defeating the point of making this thread in the first place.

You can also gain EXP by dodging or taking a hit from a Javelin or Ballista. With the Elite Sword equipped, that is.

I usually do that with Lifis, Mareeta, Carrion, or any unit that can use Swords.

It also doubles staff exp which is good for Nanna.

He starts off slightly below average

Understatement. Marty can't reach a level of spd that allows him to possibly double anyone (even assuming one glues the Sety scroll to him) until promotion. His durability is not outstandingly superior to Othin or Halvan, and his accuracy is terrible. I can understand if you think that Marty turns out decent (due to the promotion gains), but his start is downright terrible. It doesn't help that he's missing entirely from chapter 4 to half of chapter 8, and then he needs to scoot his way until promotion after that.

Marty also has a 15% growth in strength, so early on you also have to consider the Hezul and Neir scrolls as well since the Noba scroll comes a lot later.

Marty can turn out an amazing unit, but he needs several scroll abuse and dedication to reach that point. Once you get there, though, he's great. He's also a good candidate for the Charge manual.

I'm guessing that Othin probably staples the Brave Axe to him to help with his earlygame.

Is Shanam worth it?

Also, going for Olwen.

Also, is Cyas worth it?
Or should I just go with Sety due to lolOverkill Offense

Dude, you're planning like the entire game in advance. Chill the fuck out and just enjoy it.

Elite Mode FE5 is easy; just do what you feel like. Take advantage of the freedom the game gives you rather than asking us to take it away.

From what I've heard and seen Sety >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cyas and they're mutually exlusive so go with Sety.

Seriously, if you plan this much in advance, the RNG is bond to screw over some of you characters. Just play the game, use who you think won't suck (if you really want, look at their growths/average stats), and hope that no one gets RNG screwed. Also, remember fatigue and capturing.

Cyas can't be killed as an enemy, so I doubt capturing will work.

Your best bet will likely be the Thief Staff if you can get Tina's magic that high.

His base Mag is 18. Not going to be easy, although an M Up staff or Pure Water would help.

Hmm. You can do it if she gains Magic on 6 level-ups, promotes, and gets the full +7 from one of those two methods. A Magic Ring can also substitute for two of those points. You don't have a ton of time to do it, though.

Some quesȚions now.

1.
How hard is it to recruit Xavier AND get the member card?

2. How hard is ch24x?

3 is there and easy way to get Deans Dragon Lance?

4. Is getting weapons through the armoury worth it?

5. Is getting Eyrios>Olwen worth it?
I really like the effect of Dime Thunder

1. You don't want to bother with this.

2. The random warp tiles lead to a normally inescapable room. You will need to bring rescue here or leave folks behind if you get screwed. Then there's save states which need no explanation. The Hell spells can be problematic and there's status staves here IIRC.

3. Sleep the most dangerous enemies near the house I suppose.

4. If you need them then obviously yes.

5. If you actively use Olwen, her stats and combat without Dime Thunder proves to be satisfactory for you, then there's no need to get Eyrios unless you want to trade the Holy Sword and possible second Dime Thunder obtained in chapter 22 for a more durable Mage Knight, then go for Eyrios.

1. Really hard, from what I understand.
2. Not so tough, but weird.
3. Warp/Dance/Rescue.
4. Not usually.
5. Up to you.

3. Warp/Dance/Rescue.

Ah yes, this one works too if you didn't miss out on the Rescue Staff from chapter 10.

You don't really need the Member Card. There's only one Secret Shop and that's in Chapter 24 which it can be only accessed by Warp.
