Which white is bothering you guys exactly? Is it the name text color? That's actually a really complimenting color for the theme we went with, so I'm a little confused. Either you guys have really sensitive eyes or I've just gotten used to it ?

Only the post box text really bothers me that I couldn't change, the other whites/yellows go well with the skin. You'll probably get used to it, I'd wager the switch from our bright skins to this one just makes it a little jarring at first .

I actually didn't notice the warn bars, I might change that purple.

If it's still an issue when I get around to making the member feedback thread, I'll look into changing the color.

Now that I look at it, it's fine, but before, it looked like bright white against dark red.

Yeah, the switch from Vincent's bright skins to our dark one can be really jarring, I experienced it at first too. The issue is probably that you're going from darker on lighter colors to lighter on darker colors. It'll just mess with your eyes a little bit, but once you've used it for a while you shouldn't have that issue with the whites and yellows we're using. It's actually more of a peach color than white, but it can look that way when you're first switching from a bright theme. The color is #FBECCE in HTML if you're curious. They actually look pretty awesome together !

Though you should try using different shades of black and red on the board like Magical Purrple, it should be nicer instead of just black and crimson everywhere. :P

There are different shades of reds used throughout the forum, but 231A1B and 681511 were our main color focus, yes. I think they look great, and it was made to look slick, so it turned out about as good as it could've with these .

I understand what you mean though, but it sounds more like a matter of preference there than anything. And that's kinda the point: to offer something different & unique relative to the other skins, which are more or less clones of eachother with a different color scheme and banner (that's not to say they aren't awesome, just that we didn't just want to do a flat color switch). If people aren't fond of the previous skins, they will surely have a different alternative with this one and vice-versa. If they don't like any of them...maybe they'll like Project Piterine 2 ;P. Variety is the spice of life!

I talked to Pi about it as well and he doesn't think changing it that way would make much of a difference, so unless it ends up a point of discussion when I create the member feedback thread we'll probably keep it the same. I think a lot of the issues people are having are just a result of it being different from the other skins. Once you guys have been using it for a bit, I'm sure you will get used to it too .

I certainly appreciate the early feedback though! Maybe you could use it a bit more for the next little while and try to pinpoint what makes it distracting for you ? That's what I am mainly interested in; I'd like to hear about it, whether it's through PM or the thread I make next week. It'd be a big help!

The main issue I've been able to spot is the way some fonts are looking on our dark colors. Most people used fonts to match with the lighter color skins, hopefully it evens itself out as it ages and more people adopt the skin (and thus more people start using different fonts) . It's mostly only an issue with sigs though.

I think the main forum listing looks nice, but when I click on a thread, that's when it get's a little dicey. >o< Overall, it's alright, but it reminds me of Halloween party because there's so much charcoal and orange everywhere. Comments under the spoiler tag.

I agree, especially at the top of the page. One thing that has always annoyed me about the layouts is that the graphics never span the whole header/are never centered. Is that not possible? I have this huge chuck of this color right in my initial line of vision, and it's not pretty. XD At the minimum, adding contrast at the top like what you see with Magical Purple would definitely break the space up better. (A gradient, multiple colors, etc.) To me, it looks like that area of the page is either incomplete or something didn't load correctly.

If you don't mind my asking, how did you settle on these colors? Did you sample them from the official art or something like that? I really think that the color pallet as a whole could use some tweaking. Maybe it's just my artist's eye, but it looks a little mismatched and under-saturated, not really "slick" to be perfectly honest with you, and I'm getting more of a muddy orange/brown-feel than red. (Then again, you're a Tangerine, so orange is sort of your thing.) XD

I think the fact that it doesn't seem as dynamic as the other skins in terms of color selection and quantity makes it less "fancy" than the others. The background is super bright and saturated, and the rest of the page, well, isn't. There needs to be more harmony between the palette in the background and the skin. If you drew the colors from the header image and not from the background, dump the background all together and start again with something else so you don't have to scrap the skin, or desaturate and vary the background image slightly.

One other thing that bothers me just a bit is the little 2~3px gap between the posts. As I said, the palette seems really muted, so when you get a glimpse of that brilliantly bright yellow background, it looks jarring.

Yeah i liked the skin so much i commented twice. :B Its really nice on my eyes. Too much white and bright on the others. I was using Lucius since it was installed. (because i was tired of the default and magical purple hurt my eyeballs.) So this is really nice indeed. The only gripe is the dragon icons on the forums (that show new posts and junk) are a bit pixely and dont look very seamless. But thats pretty minor. I really like the colors!
