Something I've never done but always wanted to try is using a few non-royal (and non-heron) laguz in the endgame. I'd like one of them to be Mordy... Any suggestions for the rest? And also how do I make them suck less (Bexp vs Cexp, stat items, etc.)?

Bexp Janaff one level and he can get Tear instantly. His only problem is A rank Strike.

Volug, Nealuchi, Lyre. Award them BEXP to .99EXP, level them up and give them BEXP level ups.

Nealuchi isn't needing stat boosters.

Volug wants Leo's Dracoshield, 1-2 Energy Drop and probably a Secret Book for better BEXP levels.

Lyre wants Blossom + Adept

Like Sam said, it's easy to make Janaff, and by extension Ulki, good. They most likely don't even need the BEXP until Part 4. Just Adept. Give them Adept and Tear in Part 4 and they'll be 1RKO'ing everything, just like their king. If you want to start raising their strike rank, start using them abundantly by the time they join. At 3-7, have them see as much 1-range combat as possible. I am not saying to give them favoritism, but use them like you would use any other unit. You can also have them raise their strike on Generals since they won't die in two hits.

Another decent unit for Endgame would be Randulf. He starts with great bases, and he just needs to raise his strike and BEXP to get Rend.

At last, there's Nealuchi, whom you can raise his strike to S-rank at 2-P and then BEXP at Part 4 for Tear and give him Adept to top it off.

EDIT: I forgot about Volug. He's great. If you use him well, he can SS-rank his strike by 3-13 or so.

Thanks for the replies... I figured Janaff/Ranulf would be pretty popular.

Should Volug get DB's Paragon, or is that better on Jill/Nolan? And also how would I raise Nealuchi's strike to S in 1-P?

I figure others would prefer it. Who else in the DB will you use?

In addition to the "standard" Jill/Nolan/Micky, I'm thinking of trying Meg (just for fun)... The problem is she can't really make use of Paragon until after she really needs it...

Volug and Muarim (if you want to use a lot of BEXP on him) are great endgame choices.

Generally tigers are pretty bad in 4-E because their spd cap does not allow them to double Auras even after White Tide.

Meg Posted Image

Anyways, I used Kyza in endgame once. I mean I had to baby him a ton and use up lots of bexp on him and give him blossom and whatever else just to get good stats which is definitely not worth it, but he kicked so butt.

You can give Volug Paragon when your other units can't (e.g when Nolan is still in 1st tier and in 1-8, in Jill's case).

You can get Luluchi to S strike by 2-P if you make him battle the 1-range dracos when untransformed. By the end of the chapter, by turn 7 or 8 he'll be by S strike. Corner Lincy, Marcia and Leanne and have Luchi in the middle of the map. For more information consult Sal's video in youtube.

I'm shocked that Skrimir hasn't been mentioned yet. He is by far the best non-royal laguz in Endgame (assuming that you consider Giffca royal). He does need a Speedwings, but with it he tears up 4-P and 4-3. It's trivial to get him to level 30 by 4-E-1. But it's also possible to get Skrimir to SS-Strike and 17->34 Spd by 4-E-3, where he can contribute hugely against Dheginsea. I recommend giving him Paragon. Adding Blossom on top of Paragon seems a decent strategy, but it's unnecessary.

The Hawks can also be big contributors in Endgame as others have mentioned. Blossom slowplay is the way to go for the Hawks.

Volug will need lots of kills to get strike lvls up.
IMO, pick one of Nolan/Jill/Meg to train alongside Volug.

Miccy just needs 13 speed+resolve.
Sothe merely needs Forges and beastkiller (for p3)

Vika isnt bad. She needs a lot of babying in 4-4 (and Paragon) and maybe an Energy Drop, but shes pretty decent. Shes like Naesala Lite.
Volug is pretty good too. (and easier to train by far.)
Mordy has speed issues that get in the way of his potential endgame performance. Putting Adept on him is not a bad idea though. (or a Speedwing)
Janaff is pretty awesome in general. Hes like only a couple (maybe 2) levels shy from 30 at base and then Satori Sign fun. When trained properly, he becomes Tibarn Jr.

Ulki/Janaff are great for endgame, just have them fight barehanded in 3-7 (allows for strike rank to increase). Also, BEXP usually gets them to max stats quite easily. I prefer Ulki because his avoid is ridiculous :3

Mordy is awesome too. By the end of part 3 he has usually capped str/def/hp and his speed is decent but not doubing (around the 24 or something like that) with bexp level ups and half way through his s rank. Put resolve on him, he will destroy everything and will not take any damage. Watch the mages though.

Volug apparently is a good laguz, never given him a try though.

Also, Nealuchi is pretty coolio with s rank starting at 2-2. His str is a pain to grow sometimes though.

BTW, most laguz mentioned here, if not all of them, will cap every stat with just BEXP (except ulki, he might have trouble capping that skill... he never does for me... :/).

Id recommend skymir and the two hawks most strongly, all three turn out ridiculous If your bexp them. However because you require bexp to level them up effectively I'd say only focus on two laguz .
