A while back, I did a pre-promotes run, in which I allowed myself to also use all 3 Lords and one Healer - Priscilla.

This time round though, I'm being a lot stricter on myself. I am not raising any Lords or any healers after I receive Isadora. So that means there will be no Geitz, since the Lords won't be Lv50+ by Ch.24, and there will be no Karla, since Bartre is not being raised.

I'm also not going to be using Athos in the final chapter, despite him being a pre-promote. He's just too broken, and would take the challenge out of the final chapter.

If people are interested, I can make recordings of gameplay from the chapter I receive Isadora onwards.

Up until I receive Izzy, I'm using Marcus (of course), alongside Hector, who is forced to be deployed (sadly), healers (often just Priscilla) and Oswin, who helps with the defence of Hector/Merlinus/any other frail unit deployed for whatever purpose, and general enemy unit number control and diversions for when Marcus needs to break through and kill a boss, etc.

Hm, I never realized for some reason that Isadora is the first prepromote you get Marcus. Wonder why ... I've played this game enough times. -_-

Not including X chapters, it takes like 11 chapters for another promoted unit (Isadora) to become usable. That's near enough halfway into Hector's mode.

I beat 19x last night. I also killed Kishuna with a critical Silver sword hit from Marcus, but I didn't do Lyn Mode beforehand so no 19xx for me.
Raven took out the fliers and Mages up north while Marcus and Oswin went around the mountain range to Kishuna. Marcus beat the 2 Snipers and Knights, getting himself some good Exp gain. Also managed to pick up the Silver card.

Chapter 20: Marcus powers through. Extra units to help with spawning enemy units were Raven and Oswin, along with Priscilla and the 3 Lords who were forced.

Got Legault, emptied all the chests and went shopping at both Secret Shops. Bought quite a number of Killers and Physics.

Chapter 21. Maybe I'll just press through with Marcus and have him kill the boss to end the chapter as quickly as I can.

Well, Ch.21 was cleared relatively efficiently in 5 turns using Marcus, Oswin, Raven, Priscilla and Legault. Got all the village items, didn't really need to do any shopping.

Ch.22 is where we finally get the second pre-promote of the game, the other, arguably sexier Paladin, Isadora. She'll be eating that Angelic Robe like a horny bitch eating cock. From here on, pre-promotes join from left right and centre. Hawkeye in 23. Walolace in 24 (assuming I can reach him in time). Pent and Louise in 26. Harken in 27. Jaffar in 28x. Vaida in 29. Renault in 32. Fun times ahead.

Ch.21

Was meh. Isadora was initially hard to keep alive. I had to use the extra units I deployed or else it would have been a real struggle with just the Lords and the 2 Paladins.Once again Oswin and Raven were deployed to give a hand with the sheer quantity of enemy units. Got the Brave Axe but that 10k G got taken too. Isadora finished off the boss, getting HP, Str, Skl and Spd.

Ch.22

All the items were retrieved thanks to the wandering Legault. Isadora also ate a Body Ring, adding on to her already shapely assets. The White Gem was stolen, and all the while Pent didn't get himself killed.

Oh and Hawkeye appeared. That makes 3 Pre-promotes now.

At the end of the chapter I decided to give Isadora the Afa's Drops. I think she would benefit the most from them more than any other pre-promote I currently have and will recruit in future chapters. Marcus would be a good candidate, but he's got only 5 level-ups remaining.

Truth be told I don't have much experience with Lloyd Ch.24. I assume that to save Wallace the best path would be the Eastern one since taking the Northern path would lead me straight to Lloyd. Let's hope he survives long enough for me to reach him in time. Looks like Marcus or Isadora will be ferrying Sain (because he's the most durable of the 5 units who can recruit him) for the duration of the map.

Ch.24

That went better than expected. Hawkeye hung back to protect Hector from the onslaught of Dragon Riders and Monks from the North, while Marcus scooped up Sain and went on a stampede with Isadora through the Eastern path towards Wally. When in range, I dropped Sain off at a safe position. He then recruited Wallace, who then rescued Sain. All the while Marcus traversed East to meet Lloyd. He appeared on enemy phase, hitting Marcus twice at range with the Light Brand. That was the only attack Lloyd got in, as when player phase came around, Marcus didn't fuck about and proceeded to stick his Killer Lance through Lloyd's torso, finishing him in a single blow.

Wallace's defenses are good, but he can't evade at all. Best to keep him away from magic enemies in particular. At least Isadora can dodge a lot more things, despite having nearly as bad Res as Wallace.

Anyway the plan for the next chapter is to have Isadora solo the bottom path towards the bottom left gate. Hawkeye will traverse the mountains on the right armed with Hand Axes to take on the gate at the top right, while Marcus and Wallace, with their attacking and defensive capabilities, will pound the shit into the top left gate. Isadora will more than likely come up behind them to give a hand after she's dealt with the bottom gate.

Ch.25

Again, relatively easy. My plan in the last post worked to a tee. Marcus and Wallace were initially surrounded by enemy Cavaliers, but once they stopped spawning, they soon simmered down. Even saved that village. Hector hung back around Merlinus and protected him from two advancing Pirates. Go Hector.

Giving my two Secret Books to Wallace since he's got the worst skill of all the pre-promotes. As well as that, I'm going to pump those two Goddess Icon into Isadora, since she is very reliant on evade.

Ch.26

This was quite fun, especially since I accidentally placed Pent in range of Vaida on that fort up by the castle on the last-but-one turn. Saved the village. Merlinus survived. The Lords didn't get attacked at all. The 6 pre-promote units performed exceedingly well. Tried to use less of Marcus and more of everyone else, since Marcus is pretty close to Lv.20. A couple of level-ups involved Str and Spd for some units, which can never be a bad thing.

Took a while due to having to ferry Matthew around for the chest contents, and the snow was making it worse.

I'm not sure why I decided to put the battle animations on. I guess it was just to make it more interesting to watch. Anyway, the video was sped up by x2 because it was originally nearly 1 hour long. Now it's 30 minutes through 2 parts. As a result of the x2 speed, the audio's gone into lolhyper mode. Which is quite amusing.

And yeah, I really wasn't thinking about efficiency here at all. I hate this chapter so much.

The speed thing on Youtube already exists, but only for certain videos... I'm not sure why.

And I hate narrating. If I don't have a pre-written script or at least planned out what I'm going to talk about, I feel like a tool just sitting there in silence, occasionally swearing when something goes wrong.
