Well, if worst-case scenario happens, there's the step-down converter to deal with electrical standards differences...

Couldn't you use a US charger, since all 3DS chargers should have the same output?

US charger if you're in the US OFC, since it accounts for the socket difference (the input), and should have the same output... right? I remember reading that somewhere. :v

If all 3DS'es don't take the same input, then NVM.

If you have a US charger, that sounds like it should work. If the Japanese 3DS is your only 3DS, on the other hand, it could be more of an issue.

^ above user is wrong...The ninty website says that charging in a foreign country can damage the system and charger, so you have to buy a european charger and step-down converter as well as a european 3ds to play a european game in the usa... :(

Eh, -shrug- I read it on some forum. Are you sure it meant with the orignal (foreign) charger or the local charger? It should have no effect on a charger from the same region, regardless of 3DS, because it was built for that regions socket.

This is where I read it: http://www.neogaf.co...ad.php?t=453813

Nintiny is just lying to you to discourage importation

But I don't think its worth worrying about because:

USB charger FTW.

Still, I need to find a Website to get a EU 3DS in the first place. I don't like ebay >>

No. Obviously they are going all out for this installment, so it makes sense that it will be eventually localized for NA.

even if noa doesn't release this at least it will be in English so i can import it from europe (hopefully they'll get a bundle like they did with last story)
but seeing that the devs have gone all out in this one i'm pretty sure it will be out in north america

"make sense" is a foreign concept to NoA.

I looked for eu charger specs to prove my claim, and I figured out that I was wrong on my above claim, however, expect double time charging 3ds when low on power, unless I am wrong again... Thanks...

Took the words right out of my mouth. I've got fingers crossed, but after that Rainfall debacle where NoA made themselves look like they weren't interested in the attention of paying customers, I wouldn't count out the illogical.

After seeing the new trailer I've come to the realization that noa doesn't release this game , that I might fucking die .

It's not a remake, so I could easily see them releasing the game as a final attempt into the North American market. Furthermore, it's already being translated into English, which is typically the easy part, a North American release would make sense. The game also seems be getting pushed quite hard in Japan, with the special edition 3DS and whatnot.

As for being worried, no. I do not own a 3DS and this is the game that will make me buy one, so I will import both the 3DS and game, if required.

Looking at recent NoA behavior, expect at the very least another piggybacking of NoE's hard work. . .

As is the American way, or so they tell me...

Well, if it doesn't come out in Europe, I'll (finally) be glad to live in Australia.

Well, contrary to popular belief, the 3DS has enormous battery life unless you abuse it, so I'm not concerned.

And damn this is getting good.

Yes and no...

This isn't a remake, its a entirely new game, you heard all the positive reasons. Its getting a European release first, so technically the English version will be already done (It would just need tweaks). The only reasonable thing that could shaft an North American release is NoA's occasional derping.

But honestly, I'm starting to get a good feeling about it.

Spoiler ()

Ahem. Back on topic, I'm not incredibly worried that it won't get localized, but I'm fully prepared to import a European 3DS just for this game if it doesn't.
