the light source isn't the same as other fe mugs, mostly on the face
the shading is pretty bad too, probably better off trying to splice a mug that looks similar to that

Alright, 3 more hours...

It's improved a bit, I think; the nose has been changed to FE8 style, the eyebrows that the FE8 sprites sport have been added, the face/hair shading now uses colors from a FE8 character, the robe has been shaded a little bit (although it still needs fixing, methinks), and the centerpiece is now an amethyst (purple for the dark magic user, ofc). Hair still needs to be FE8-ified. I'll likely post a request for touching up and advice from the spriters' board.

P.S.: I can't really use the sprite talked about because I want it to match the Shaman(F) animation, which has LONG brown hair and a blue robe. I might just put in Eclipse's shading, but it didn't work too well with the slight alterations to the shape of the robe (plus, I suck at shading).

I started playing around with your sprite. It's still quite rough, but if you think it might be something you'd want, I can finish and smooth it out hopefully

And of course, anyone else can use this to build on as well.

She still needs a bit of work here and there (mostly her outfit) and she doesn't have her frames or her chibi, but it's like 4 AM so no more spriting for me tonight. ~_~

While I'm sure everyone put up a valiant effort, Kon's is really the best one I think anyone's presented to you, so I'd just go with that one.

Kon's needs to be edited enough so that looking at her neck doesn't make my eyes water, and then it blows its competition out of the... water.

I realize now that trying to use Brammimond's robe was likely a mistake, due to how it makes her look too burly.

Well, this whole thing has made me feel like a worthless piece of shit when it comes to art...lol.

While it's by far the most likely to get used at this point, I looked at the details of your sprite to see what errors I had; it was mostly minor things that added up. I hope you don't mind -- it really helped me to nearly finish off the crappy one I was doing. Anyways, a side-by-side:

EDIT: Her left eye is still a little screwed up with the new bangs; it'll get fixed.

It's getting "better," but it's like you're trying to fix a dead dog. It's dead, pal. You need to start over without the problems, not trying to put make-up over them. Your sprite just gets a bit more detailed, but it still suffers from the entirely wrong angle of a body and limpy hair D:

Kon's should think about losing the giraffe neck, as well as the trauma her neck was subjected to in order to wrench her head to such an uncomfortable angle ._.

Well darn, that's what I get for spriting so early in the morning. XD I'll get to fixing the broken giraffe neck and junk in a bit.

If you can do something about the coat shading (it looks really flat and awkward, and I can't help. . .), then it'll be better than anything else I could possibly do!

As you can see, I'm still crap at shading cloaks. I might need some help with this a bit, 'cause referencing the other cloaked sprites aren't helping me much.

The cloak looks nice. The collar looks a bit flat, and the hair seems too high on her head--other than that, pretty solid. I'm not sure if more of the ear should stick out or not. I personally think another row would be good.
