Nono-Richt C-A was pretty damn cute, the "lets go out and explore the world!" thing in their A support reminded me of Amelia and Ewan's A support.

And then S comes along and it read like one of those cute, innocent, not really serious childhood marriage things you see.

Except they actually get married and have a kid in the future. Which is...yeah.

Though out of curiosity, from how far in the future would the dragon-kids have to travel to get back? Since we already have cases of people coming back at different times to different years. Though that also explains how spread out the kids are.

The awkwardness is probably from Japanese not literally translating to English well, as some people (like the translators and you) have mentioned.

The occasional dullness is probably to be expected since there's just over 500 support pairs (less if you group together the parent-child conversations and the male/female MU conversations). I think FE6 had the most support pairs before this game and it only had 143 and even then I remember some pretty boring supports in there : P

All the supports featuring Nono are really funny to me, especially the C-A supports. But all the S supports come WAY outta left field and surprise me. Though in a sense, they do kind of show that in the past 3 supports, Nono was acting like a child simply because she could and had the body to convince people with it. However, I will admit that the last few Nono supports don't compare to the hilarity of NonoXRonku. Playing family...that's the funniest shit ever. XD

Different father convos of one given child (and mothers of Lucina and Female Mark) are generally pretty similar (eg, Selena x Henry would probably be similar in content with Selena x Sol if Henry was her father on run 1 and Sol her father on run 2) with the only difference being speech patterns to save the writer some work. Imagine writing unique content for all the possible pairings. @______@

Dude I wish they'd make a personality selection for MU so different MUs would have slightly altered speech and reactions by personality but I can understand not to since that'd be so many more convos to write and conditions to script

I never found any of the supports awkward in Japanese, but then again I'm not as picky about Japanese-English translations since I know how annoying it can get to make things flow (which is why I love Fire Emblem's localization team to pieces. They've done a wonderful job on all the games to date <33). As for dull....well, I have three different playthroughs at differen points in the game, and I can say that the sheer number of possible pairings is a bit @__@. The gen 1 lovers convo are all unique and provide different characterization depending on the partners, so they're fun to read. The child/mother supports are also all unique, with the exception of MU. The child/parent supports tend to have a lot of similarity. The only exceptions are unique cases (cases that can't be repeated). One is Male Mark and Lucina as siblings, since Lucina is the ONLY sibling Male Mark can have (due to children being inherited from the mother as opposed to the father. It might have been interesting to mix it up with some being father specific and some being mother specific, but that would have been too much work I guess XD).

Another one is Lucina/FeMu as one of the few that MU/child specific.

For example, Azure/MaleMU and Azure/Henry are similar (although there are difference, but mainly because Henry is hilarious. It's just his personality. Azure is adorable with his mother though, such a cute kid XD).

Gen 2 lover supports are also unique. The overlap is mainly with child/father, including MaleMark. His support with his father is practically identical (but I've only seen 2 cases, so who knows).

Oh right, sibling supports also have some overlap, although they're a bit more varied (depending on things like gender, parents' relationship, etc etc).

NOW TO GET TRANSLATING.....As soon as I finish my CS projects :P

But yes, the exact line is something along the lines of "I don't understand how father could see mother as a woman when she acts/looks so much like a child. You aren't one of those weirdos that only like little girls are you?"

I cracked up so hard though.

I can't remember, but Lucan comes from the same time in the future than the others (but he got thrown back further than the others as well) and Soso's supposedly younger than him at that time (even though she's older than him in the present time). It's implied that she came back from further in the future, but I think there's a cutoff point. From what I can tell, most of the children come from within 3-5 years of each other, because at that point in time the army's been decimated, all of the parents are dead, and Gimle is just wreaking havoc on everything. There's some implication that after a certain breakpoint, they can't come back to the past anymore because the world is basically screwed or something.

It's really heartbreaking, because at some of the higher level supports, you find out that some of the kids have been wandering around in this unknown age looking for their companions for years, but never knowing if they'll ever find them or if they really can change the future ;A; I wanted to just hug all of them.

Aw, that's a depressing thought. It explains why Lucina is so depressed in her support with Mark. Much worse than I expected, tbh.

I'm staring at my post right now and I honestly can't remember why the hell I wrote Lucan instead of Loran. I'm pretty sure I was even thinking "Loran" when I wrote it too @_@.

By the way, is it only Loran? I got the feeling some of the other kids arrived at different times also (although Loran stands out since he's the one who ended up coming nearly 5 years earlier than all the others, poor guy :( )

But some of the kids really have it rough. Lucina's got the most pressure, Chambray is scarred by war (and really being the only one left of his race after Velvet died), Loran's spent who knows how long looking for everyone, Selena's terrified of losing her parents again, Noire afraid of being a burden to her mother at some points (but that one gets resolved through the supports, thank goodness).

I mean, really, the only REALLY lucky on is Mark. Since, like parent like child, she lost her memory too XD (or he).
