EDIT: Seeing as the "royal we" doesn't really reflect Vake's talking style, here's the new version. Like TheEnd had mentioned, it's supposed to be a gangster-like style of speaking so that's what I'm trying to go for here. It's kind of a pity that the one support I wanted for both Krom and Tiamo is not available. If Nintendo of America releases the game and wants to give us an extra, several extra supports impossible to establish in the japanase game should be viable for the localization.

There's no given reason really. It's not like unbalanced pairings don't occur in the Fire Emblem series, so it's not the difference in their social status. It's just how the game was made, so chalk it up to the writers.

And no, that's almost certainly not going to happen. It'd involve a whole new bunch of supports and programming thingamabobs that NoA and NoE have no real reason to do, and might not be allowed to do even if they wanted to. Sorry about that. Maybe if someone hacks the game in the far future? Though I've heard that it's pretty hard to that with 3DS games.

Gangsta-like characters use ore-sama a lot

Although the more traditional words for of the royal we would be "chin" (朕) or "yo" (余) (although the second one is technically incorrect). Even for games set in medieval periods and whatnot, that tends to be what is used. It helps that 朕 is canonically used by Japanese emperors up until Hirohito.

Vake's method of referring to himself (ore-sama) doesn't seem to translate as formal speech, because the rest of his speech is informal. I'd have to agree with TheEnd in that it's actually really far in a the opposite direction. He's actually very informal (and has an ego the size of a mountain XD). It's more like something analogous to "the great me" and denotes a lack of respect for whoever he's talking to (royalty included it seems). I can't say I see it as speaking in plural though, sorry for the guys who found that part interesting.

AND FOR THE RECORD TIAMO IS MINE. :T She was MU's partner in my main run through and I love her design *shoos Vake out*
