Oh yes actually, if you want to do a crazy psychotic dark magic woman, go ahead. In fact, we're at a 3:1 ratio for male/female characters now so more females is always good.

Guess how many black people we have though. Yeah, 0. Nobody sprites black people >.>

Also, when I said psychotic, I was envisioning you know who in my head, that would be a ref for the facial expression I want her to have.

Pretty much that. Celice, didn't you know that most sprite crit also includes making things either FE7 or FE8 colors? It's an established part of the FE community xD

Consistency of what? Color values? You can have different colors not found in FE8 which follow the tonal contrast you see in the game, preserving whatever consistency you're stretching for.

But using FE8 colors is just an easy, surefire way to make a sprite that's not inconsistent.

A quick notice to anyone who submitted mugs without frames and planned to add them later. (For example SoC, Xiltas, Fuzz, and a few others) We now have frames for all the mugs and we have a new member on the team who is extremely good at this too, L95! She did all the unframed mugs and added chibis too, in less than an hour. I'm pretty impressed, to say the least.

Also, 3 new characters were submitted, bringing the total number of characters so far to I think 59 or 60. I'll be doing a recount after I format all the remaining mugs to FEXP format and I'll know for sure then.

Yes, but it would be nice if future submissions included frames :v

But then again, that's always been true.

EDIT: This is, of course, assuming by "better" you mean the new mug is pretty much the same, but looks nicer. If you use an entirely different sprite, then it could potentially be a hassle for writing.

If a character looks really different, it requires I rewrite the whole character. if it's light touchups, shading and etc, then sure. If they change the whole facial structure from looking mean to looking nice and their personality is based on being mean, I take pride in writing the story and I'd have to redo the character

For instance, take a look at Nayr's srpites.

While the overall structure of the character is the same, these sprites have entirely different personalities.

A change like this would require re-writing the character, as they would look completely different. This isn't Tactics Universe, where everyone is generic, bland, and boring, and thus interchangable with no consequences.

Some updates! The last count for characters was 60, and we now have 64 characters, with another 7 pending, based on whether they get a little cleanup and whether I decide to actually use them or not. I don't know if Hikarasu still looks at this thread, but your mug is almost too awful to use, because despite using bad characters for MoH, it still is almost too bad to use.

Also, there's new art out, I was going to hold off on posting it and display it at FEE3, buuuuuut I ended up posting it on FECafe, TeB, and FEE, so I might as well post it here :X

Behold! Archibald, the main bad guy in MoH! This will be the title screen for chapter 2, damn me and my impatience for not spoiling things but oh well.

The team also has a new musician, Magix430 who has already made 3 very nice pieces which I hope to utilize.

I'm also adding a poll. I can put all of the chapters in a single download as I add more, and they'll be selectable from the title screen, but that download will be in the 100+ MB's range and only continue to increase as the game goes on, which may be a daunting download for a fangame.

OR

I can use seperate single chapters which will be much smaller, in the 40-60 MB's range, but you'll have to download seperate projects. The choice is up to the voters, I will not provide both options as it's more time consuming and less convenient.

WELL, if you decide not to use that I could probably find some way to con someone who's actually able to make something better than that into doing so eventually. On another note, anything smaller than like 5 GB couldn't possibly be considered too big imhotep.

If the download cutting out is the problem, and for some reason one's browser can't reliable resume a cut download, you can always make a torrent available instead.

I say go for the whole game. I'd guess that more people who play the game will have issues with the separate downloads than they will with the big downloads as well, if you spend enough time online to find a game like this, I'd like to think you'd have a good enough internet to support downloading these things without much trouble. Some people will have a little trouble, but I seriously doubt they won't have some sort of back-up planned. On the other hand, downloading multiple files and compiling them or whatever, is more work, and I doubt people will be pleased to do so just so that a few people with bad internet can deal with it.

Yes, I'm kind of saying "majority rules", but if you're not willing to make everyone happy, at least make a lot of people happy... Minorities usually find ways to overcome such obstacles, anyway... eh, I said what I wanted to, I'll let the poll do the talking now XP

I like the idea of separate downloads more provided you released them as they were finished rather than all at once, but I voted for one big file because then you don't have to gamble on people coming back to play and download each and every chapter? I'm on shitty net now and I still am not really put off by file size

I like the separate downloads idea too but I would prefer, once you finish the game, to download it once instead of downloading, I don't know 5 or 6, different files. That being said maybe you could release some of chapters one at a time and then have one big file with all of them. That being said my vote goes to one big file.
