3DS hard software wise? I would suggest Kid Icarus: Uprising and Mario Kart 7. If you're into fighting games, there's also Street Fighter, Tekken, and Blazblue. And if you haven't played their original versions, there's also Star Fox and Zelda: OoT. Soft software? I would recommend VVVVV, and Mighty Switch Force. There's also some ports of NES games that may or may not have 3D capabilities. (One of which, Kirby's Adventure, I would say, all depends if you feel like getting it for the 3DS. I bring that up because Nintendo's bringing out a Kirby compilation a-la Super Mario All Stars for Kirby's 20th anniversary.) And there's some GB and GBC games, which is good if you haven't played any of them before. (Like Shantae 1, which I'm gonna suggest you get when it hits the e-Shop. I'll also recommend Zelda: Link's Awakening, Metroid 2, Super Mario Land 2, Wario Land, and Donkey Kong.) Lastly, there's DSi games. I'll just throw Shantae 2, Zelda: Four Swords, Pictobits, and Chronos Twins out there for now.

I loved Kid Icarus: Uprising and the Mario 3D land are fun if you like Mario games. But I usually play the free ambassador games more than other 3DS game...

Mario Kart 7. 'Nuff said.

Well, that and Kid Icarus... It's supposed to be great, but being Left-Handed really makes it hard for me -_-

I recommend Mario Kart 7. The online works well and the game is far more balanced than the disappointment that is Mario Kart Wii. Ocarina of Time 3D was also a good time with the stereoscopic aim. Loooaaads of fun to play if you have a swirly office chair. On the eShop, I recommend Pushmo if you like puzzle games. Shantae: Risky's Revenge is also available if you like 2D platformers.

Upcoming games include Luigi's Mansion 2, Paper Mario: Sticker Stars, Kingdom Hearts, and of course, Fire Emblem.

if you go back into DS games, look for Rune Factory 3. It plays better on the 3DS than the DS thanks to the circle pad giving smoother movement controls for the dungeon crawl segments.

Sonic Generations is ok. As is Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy.

Those are the only two 3DS games I have.

I would recommend VVVVV, and Mighty Switch Force.

I've never heard of VVVVV, but you guys should look into VVVVVV.

Just a warning, avoid Resident Evil: The Mercenaries, Monkey Ball, BalzBlue and Pro Evolution Soccer. They have a "feature" that prevents you from ever deleting your data. You can see how blatantly awful that is, so make sure you don't give them your money.

Well, let's look at my tiny collection.

Mario Kart 7 is solid and the online is actually pretty good, if you're into this stuff, go for it.

3D Land is amazing, Mario Galaxy + NSMB= 3D Land, it looks great, it plays great, it's really fun, despite it's somewhat short length unless you're a 100% guy.

Abyss, well you already have it, I'll just walk out on this one.

Street Fighter 4 is a solid port of Street Fighter 4 on the 360/PS3, only problem is, that SF4 is kinda meh. I bought this when nothing else was around, like before the price drop. Way better options.

Ocarina of Time is a simple one, have you play OoT before? If not, then buy it now. If yes, then consider it, but don't expect too much from it outside of Master Quest and 60 fps, which actually makes the game feel kinda awesome.

Most of the games that aren't ports on the 3DS right now aren't holding my attention well. Fittingly the only games I have for it are Ocarina of Time, Harvest Moon, and Devil Survivor. I'd definitely recommend a look at the lattermost game as it's a great Shin MegaTen RPG, which pretty much assures you will be losing some friends and most of your body weight from pure seclusion while playing it.

Some of those games are far away/not even announced for NA.

As for far away I would say SMT 4. :P
