I'm up to the point where you need to find the "Virus King" Navi in SciLab, but when I go to him at the end of the purple path, he just tells me to "watch the broadcast"!

What do I do? Walkthroughs haven't been any help whatsoever...

Because supposedly you have to fight him multiple different times in different sections.

What exactly does he say? He JUST says "watch the broadcast"?

Well, I can't remember the exact quote but something roughly like "What, you don't know who I am? Watch the N1 broadcast". I could speak to him again if you need.

I remember playing this when physical guidebooks were popular, I just went and dug mine up

It says first encounter is in scilab 1 just off the main open area

Next is in scilab 2, doesn't say where it just looks like the purple dude is just of the yellow brick road

Next is acdc, doesn't say where just jack into yai's pc

Next is in acdc 2 main road

No, I just found him for the first time and he's giving me this dialogue.

I'm sorry, that's kinda confused me...

Ok then, go back to the original area, and once you can either go up-left back towards the Scilab Square, or down-left, go down-left, and you'll find him at the end of a path. You'll fight him there, and afterwards go back to the Scilab Square and to the nice-looking purple navi.

If you have done the event at around 21:40, and have not fought his Ratty viruses, then go to the area that this video leads you starting at about 23:14.

Sorry to bump (I checked, it's off the first page but it hasn't been a month yet) but it seems he isn't in either of the places shown in those two timestamps. Should I watch from the beginning or something?

Yeah, I guess. I meant that if you have done the event that is shown at around 21:40, and if you haven't done the event/battle that is shown at around 24:14 (I misread the time), go to the place shown at around 24:14. Sorry for any confusion I have caused.
