any thought about buffing the exp gain of healers? in TLP healers got 20 exp from heal. made them much easier to train and less of a liability because their stats don't lag behind your main units

Yeah, I really liked that about TLP, but I think it got to be a bit too high (Tamiko made it to Lv.20 before a guiding ring showed up), so I might not do it as high.

actually i don't think so. in part 2, i think she was auto leveled ( i think, i'm not sure cause my save got deleted because of a glitch on chapter 10 ) when i got her back she was level 18. but really it doesn't matter. once you get TOV, exp balance is destroyed.

I know there's a nightmare module that does that much, with the FEditor Autopatches, but I don't think it works for FE8, nor do I know how to convert it.

it's impossible to convert unless you want to fix the asm for it as well

does FEditor actually do that same autopatch for FE8?

if it doesn't, easiest way (for cam) is to just find where staff EXP is calculated and change the 0A to a 0F or something for 10 -> 15 base EXP per staff use

it's actually not as simple as that

since it's calc'd in a weird was in fe8

and i have to get rid of that and make it a constant value

well an idea i like (from dof with a tweak) is give clerics access to lightning and then, set the lightning wexp to 0 so that they have minor combat abilities though nerfing lightning could be necesary

Uh, Light magic is already weak as hell. I'd rather not have it suck even more.

Clerics tend to have extremely low magic anyway (Natasha has a base of 2) so it's unlikely they'd be able to do a huge amount of damage with it, unless you gave them a large buff to magic. Even if you wanted to do that, you could just give them a large promotion bonus instead of buffing their base stat directly.
