lol, you keep thinking that. I actually left for completely different reasons.

Umm... I still have a record of that Skype conversation where I decided to be a nice person for once. You were in tears.

Don't pretend like you've forgotten.

Okay, this is just downright flaming.

Read my member title and then tell me why I care what you think about me. Hint: I don't.

I really couldn't see anything between those two at all, even before I decided I preferred Elincia with Ike. I was quite surprised to see that they could be paired up, actually. I always felt they thought of each other more as siblings (as well as Elincia treating Geoffrey like a trusted retainer), just like Lucia and Elincia. And that PoR was building more on IkexElincia (the whole reason I fell in love with the pairing). But this is just me. If you don't agree, that's fine.

Ike was never going to end up with Elincia. Final cutscene in PoR proves it because he's got the chance to make a move and not only fails to make it, he in fact declines the opportunity. There was no shot in hell of Ike going out with Elincia simply because he didn't want to.

Besides, if Elincia really loved Ike as much as you claim, no reason why Crimea stays neutral until they are attacked in RD. If she loved Ike, she'd have flown to him (terrible storytelling but whatever, RD wasn't designed to be an epic). The evidence AGAINST IkexElincia is staggering. There's just very little for any other pairing aside from Soren and we all know that homosexuals burn in all seven circles of hell.

Everyone knows Lucia x Elincia is the better Elincia pairing anyway.

Funnily enough, it's the one I support too.

I just wonder, if they were married, what would Lucia's title be? Princess?

Actually, I think I agree. I would rather have LuciaxElincia than GeoffreyxElincia. And I'm not even a fan of yuri.

And Princess Consort, most likely. Just as Geoffrey would be Prince Consort. As would Ike, or any other male Elincia married. In our medieval times, men who married queens did not become kings. They were consorts. Usually, women who married kings became queens though. And FE is pretty much based off of western medieval times, so I wouldn't be surprised if IS used this concept.

I actually quite like GeoffryxElincia, it reminds me of MidalexEdain and KentxLyn. I haven't played FE10, but I'd imagine stuff like Oscar and Kieran would make sense. How about Shinon and Makalov, gambling under the influence forever!

Now we know where Elincia's hand goes!

Ah, makes a lot of sense then, thanks.

No prob. I find medieval stuff to be quite interesting, so I like to study it. I also enjoy studying and theorizing about the games I play (Zelda and FE, mainly).

I'm just usually not into knightxprincess pairings. Didn't like KentxLyn either for that reason. The only knightxprincess pairing I've ever really liked is SethxEirika. I can't really pinpoint why they're an exception though. Yeah, I thought their A support was cute, but...

I've just always been fonder of heroxprincess pairings.

I hate to jump into this again, but I'm going to do it anyway.

While I'm not a big fan of knight/princess pairings either, just calling a pairing in itself knight/princess is very simplifying and trying to classify a pairing as such is really limiting.

For example ... Kent/Lyn and Seth/Eirika. While neither of those are my preferred pairings for Kent, Lyn, or Eirika ... even I think that Seth/Eirika is probably the "best" pairing for both characters (except maybe Eirika/Innes because Innes is a prince and they seem to know each other well enough). But I do not think that Kent is the "best" pairing for Lyn. Reason? Eirika is, well, a princess. She's a sheltered and naive, yet kind-hearted, princess who is struggling to understand the atrocities of warfare. Seth is her loyal knight who has been with her since she fled Castle Renais, and whom she's known for years beforehand most likely. Lyn, on the other hand, is first and foremost a Sacaean plainswoman. She wasn't even aware of her heritage as a Caelin princess for years. Lyn's not a "princess" the way Eirika is. She's supposed to be an "independent" type of character who doesn't want to be underestimated for her gender. I personally think that Kent will always see Lyn as "milady Lyndis" before just "Lyn", no matter what. Trying to shove Kent/Lyn into the classic knight/princess pairing fails.

Where does this leave Geoffrey/Elincia? Well ... I don't know. Personally, I wish that they wouldn't have said in the game that Geoffrey, Lucia, and Elincia were all raised as siblings if they were going to pair Geoffrey and Elincia off.

Back to the topic ... I don't want Ike and Elincia to have a paired ending where they go off together, I personally don't think it's in either of their characters to follow the other. However, I do wish that Ike and Elincia TALKED more. If I hadn't played PoR before RD, I would never have guessed that Ike and Elincia had a close bond in PoR.

I definitely agree with this. And if I had played RD first, I might very well have ended up being a GeoffreyxElincia fan instead of IkexElincia, because Geoffrey and Elincia get to interact more (I would've still thought Elincia only treated Geoffrey like a trusted friend and retainer here, but I could've also thought that maybe they developed a romance later after the game). If Ike and Elincia had more time together in RD, their pairing would also even be more reasonable than it already is.

I felt like PoR shoved IkexElincia in my face, which I had no problem with, of course, because I enjoyed how cute they were. And then RD went "SYKE! LOLOLOL" and made it as if they were never close at all. This just doesn't make sense to me. You don't realistically make close friends and then act like you hardly know them a few years later.

And the fact that Geoffrey and Elincia were raised as siblings turned me off from the pairing too. It made it almost sound rather creepy for that reason. It was like imagining me and stepbrother, who's the same age as me, as a couple. Just...no.

Yeah, maybe it ought to be locked. There isn't really anything else to talk about in it.

I don't think this thread needs to be locked, by the way. If people still want to discuss endings they'd like to seer then that's okay. I think it's back on topic now.
