Anyone else receive their game early? I ordered mine from Playasia and I just got mine today ( August 6th* )
But I'm almost certain it comes out in Japan august 7.

* = I'm in Australia so I'm ahead of America.

Like that matters in playing a game as simple as Fire Emblem >.>

Online stores tend to ship things out early, at times. Your location and coincidence pro'lly helped you out there ^^

Glad you got the game~

Tutorials are shown on the top screen, and you arn't forced to do what they say.

Inbetween some stages their appears to be some map or overview of the area

Doors cannot be broken like in RD

heres the characters i know how to get so far...

Prologue
Stage 1
New chars:
Marth joins at the start

Stage 2
New Chars:
Green Knight and Old Knight guy joins at the start

Stage 3
New Chars:
Red Knight and Old Palladin guy ( Jeigan? ) joins at the start

Stage 4
New chars:
Talk to the green haired archer ( he looks alot like Rolf ) with Marth

-Stuck in stage 4 currently. theirs 2 doors to open and you only get 1 key. it wants me to do something with a castle but i can't figure it out. Plus around turn 3 a bunch of units appear that can kill Jeigan in 2 hits and everything else in 1.

Send a unit you want to sacrifice to the southern fort.

Gimme a break and quit assuming. All I want to know is what Marth will be like in the game I'm going to get assuming the translation does a good job.

He's actually kinda strong. I'm only in the beginning of the game, but he can double everything but boss's, and the double kills everything.

The character i'm most surprised with is Sheeda, every level up she gains atleast 4 stats. She doubles everything, normally she can't kill them, but she can take the enemy down to about 4 damage. Also, she can stand up to boss's pretty well.

Along with the above, you've had the script translation for quite sometime, and you're always welcome to look him up. He, of course, doens't have much of a personality, being the first Lord and all.

And it should be mentioned that whoever is sacrificed, as far as we know, does not return. You you're efficiently removing them permanently from your party--if you're going by canon, Freyr would be the best candidate. I shipped him out, as I wanted Jeigan, even if he's a tad... redundant.

Is there any juicy gossip those who got the game early can give to the rest of us?

You must sacrifice a character? Well, farewell Jeigan, you were old anyway. Odds are you would die in the middle of the game anyway.
Spoiler -

Jeigan is as good as gone. I really wanted to get Athena in 6x (I think that's the one), but I don't want to have to kill of 10 characters. I mean, if I get craptastic characters, then yeah, they can go along with Jeigan. But I don't know if 10 characters are worth one. I have research to do, apparently.

From what I can tell about her, she's not really worth it. You already have Navarre in the case you are a Myrmidon/Swordmaster fan. (obviously you are, by your screen name) If I have to kill someone to get another person, he/she is not worth it. Sorry, Miss Norn, but you can just stay at home during this here war. Still, that Naga chick...., I wonder if she's related to Chiki in any particular way.

She looks it. And, from what I've gathered, Navarre isn't that hot as a SM. I'm using Kain as my Myrmidon. He has the Speed for it, and 19 Luck by level 20/20 isn't too bad. Plus Maxed HP, 21 Str, 23 Skill (Hellooooooooo stat boosters), 13 Def, and 3 Res.

Athena doesn't look like she's worth it.

I kind of think of this as a scammer type deal, as in giving money in order to recieve money. Really, if I have to kill people in order to get other people, it's just not worth it. Besides, you'd have to be a terrible player to have 10 characters dead on accident. Hopefully these other sidequests don't require any more virtual holocausts. Still, kill off 10 characters? Hoo, yeah right!

I agree 100%. I can't kill off my own people. O.O

In every Fire Emblem game, I have NEVER let ANYONE die. I even let Duke Tanas (Oliver) live in RD. And I hate him.

I've started playing this and I don't really care about anyone's names except Marth and Jeigan. If you HAVE to kill someone off Jeigan or Mr. Red is gonna die. Fine, Jeigan is as good as dead. Right now I'm only using Captain Green Hair and Bluey. (And Marth OF COURSE) As I'm only done with the first three chapters. Yeah, I don't really care about their names, not like they're that important.

But Kain can turn out godly. Why would you kill him? (He's the one with the Red hair)

You should kill off Gordon (the Archer) if you're going to kill off someone.

:/ I don't like red very much. I'm not even planning on recruiting Gordon. I want Norn instead, and it's not like I'm gonna use Jeigan. His growth rates are still horrible.

Like I said earlier, if anyone's being dumped, it's Jeigan. You know, he'd make a better Mage than a Pally. I think he has better Magic growth than Strength.

And thank you Psyche. :) I'm flattered.
