Hmm, it seems they got rid of unique weapon icons, Kamui's equipping a lot of... red stuffs. However, they don't look entire the same, why? Is that staff durability?

Nice. I wanted more status screens XD

Also, there's this.

Cyrus the Cavalier and Oboro the Lance Fighter (might be a better name for this).

EDIT: Remind me to reupload.

Thanks.

Hmm, there's some really interesting new info in there, but some of it looks kinda ridiculous too. Apparently we have Butlers and Great Butlers? Or is "Butler" meant to be "Battler", rather?

Anyway, I'm gonna split this topic in a bit.

Hachima released some of the info, but as always, take with a grain of salt until the full scans release.

New WT:

Sword/Magic > Axe/Bow > Lance/Hidden Weapon > Sword/Magic

"Hidden/concealed weapons" (don't know the correct translation) probably refers to the shuriken seen equipped by Suzukaze in the 2nd trailer, and possibly knives as well (which the white-haired butler seems to be carrying in the boxart).

So apparently the weapon triangle has been revised.

Part of this could already be observed--swords good against bows, but here's the rest.

Sword and Magic > Axe and Bow > Lance and Hidden Weapon > Sword and Magic

"Hidden Weapon" (for lack of a better term) refers to concealed weapons, like knives, I guess. These are wielded by Ninjas, Maids and... Butlers (or Battlers?). They are weak, but can reduce enemy stats.

Some more examples of how weapons have been reworked:

  • Bronze Sword: Cannot critical, but boosts Critical Evade by 10
  • Iron Sword: Nothing special
  • Steel Sword: Avoid -5, double attack threshold -3
  • Silver Sword: Critical Evade -5; after using, Strength and Skill -2 until next turn
  • Brave Sword: Allows 2 consecutive attacks, Defence and Resistance -4

New characters:

(Lazy to look up voice actors)

  • Felicia: Maid
  • Joker: Butler
  • Gunter: Great Butler
  • Suzukaze: Ninja
  • Saizou: Ninja
  • Kagerou: Ninja

Felicia, Joker, Gunter and Suzukaze are allies during both routes, while Saizou and Kagerou are Hoshidan allies only.

Some more examples of how weapons have been reworked:

Bronze Sword: Cannot critical, but boosts Critical Evade by 10

Iron Sword: Prevents stat reduction(?)

Steel Sword: Avoid -5, "difficult" to double attack

Silver Sword: Critical Evade -5, reduces enemy's(?) Strength and Skill by 2

Brave Sword: Allows 2 consecutive attacks, Defence and Resistance -4

New characters:

(Lazy to look up voice actors)

Joker: Butler

I like Felicia, good to see she's on both sides! :)

Also, new weapons for Maids and Butlers, now I'm interested. Also, if we're not getting the Magic Triangle, this is close. However, are Silver and Brave swords rare, given the lack of durability? EIther way, I like the nerfs and buffs per weapon, that's a good system.

"Great butler"??? *facepalm*

Also, 3 NINJAS! (Triangle attack plz!!)

Japanese fans are laughing their ass off, I think.

That was one reason I was hesitant to post the info, but hey... I don't think these blogs/sites would risk their credibility by making up info.

EDIT: Forgot the obvious: Ninjas can wield Hidden Weapons too.

Shouldn't it be Felicia, Joker, Gunter and Suzukaze for both routes, while Saizou and Kagerou for Hoshido?

I'll help fill in the VA's:

Felicia: Nozomi Sasaki

Joker: Junichi Suwabe

Gunther: Rokuro Naya
Suzukaze: Daisuke Ono

Saizou: Tarusuke Shingaki

Kagerou: Rie Murakawa

I'm assuming that Joker is cravat-san. He looks butler-ish!

The infiltration is going smoothly

Waiting for orders, General.

Eh, I though the knight at the left was a MU sample actually.

You know, the first skill of each characters does seems to be enlighted, or whatever the word is.

Phew, the devs looks motivated with this game ! Dat Silver sword.

Great Butler. It could've been something worse, like Super Butler.

What was that manga about a nice blue-haired guy who become a buttler for a rich loli ? I've got some flashback here. :p

That's quite a lot of information actually...

Oboro has the same stat boosts in his/her status as Aqua, minus the luck. She had a bronze Naginata, he/she has an iron one.

Edit: The description of the iron naginata confirms that these are gained from it.

as in, persistent debuff?

I can't wait to get swarmed by enemies wielding debuffing weapons...

Could be a 1 turn thing or maybe it wears off after a few turns.

You can use Iron weapons to counter them : P

Also, fixed a typo... Obviously, I'm still half-awake. Realised Kagerou is probably a female Ninja.

^^^^^ @Vincent :P

Thanks. Half-awake Vincent strikes again.

You can tell I won't be posting this on the front page of the site for a while, until I've quadruple checked everything XD

Mmmmmh i don't like this insert of class "butler/maid".

It's a big reference to anime/manga things... I hope it will remain the only new add like that..
