So while everyone is losing their minds over the whole face rubbing business, I decided to compile a list of the weapons that we caught a glimpse of in the My Castle video. If I missed any, made any errors, or my translations are inaccurate, feedback would be appreciated :)

アーマーキラー (Armorslayer): 9 Mt / 95 Hit / 0 Crit / 0 Avo / 1 range / D-rank Sword / 2500 G

Effective against armored units. "Weak against others" (whatever that means...?)

ドラゴンキラー (Wyrmslayer): 9 Mt / 95 Hit / 0 Crit / 0 Avo / 1 range / D-rank Sword / 2500 G

Effective against dragon units. "Weak against others"

キルソード (Killing Edge): 6 Mt / 85 Hit / 25 Crit / -10 Avo / 1 range / C-rank Sword / 3000 G

Thanks for the translation I was wondering about all those new weapons(moreso than caring about face rubbing). Those are some pretty diverse set of effects, ranged weapons like Javelins have got a pretty big nerf it seems and a lot of these weapons seem to reduce your avoid.

I think the Warrior weapons are the Hoshidan equivalent of Brave weapons. But instead of attacking twice, its base might is doubled.

A 2 range only sword? I-is that right?! That's going to be weird.

Warrior weapons are going to be great for Knights, Oni, Wyv. Knights, and basically anyone who wasn't going to dodge anyway.

Spirit katana looks cool.

All in all this looks like a very interesting armory this time around, and I can't wait to try them.

I think the Warrior weapons are the Hoshidan equivalent of Brave weapons. But instead of attacking twice, its base might is doubled.

They only double might when COUNTERATTACKING. This could be useful against enemies with Vantage(if it's added back in), or as a deadly meatshield wall.

Silver weapons are a little broken IMO

In the other hand, the 2-range sword is basically a bow without the possibility to double attack, what's the point ?

the 2 range only sword, at least in chinese, literally means flying knife. See throwing daggers. Prolly a bit bigger, maybe.

Wait. In the direct, we see Felicia using what appears to be a shortsword to melee attack an enemy. Does this mean that maids/butlers can use swords? Maybe it means that throwing knives can be used from 1 rng.

Maybe. It could just be a large knife. It's probably some sort of hidden weapon, as it gave off a ice breaking animation of sort upon hit.

It can attack at a distance?

It is also useful for more complicated things like lowering the amount of enemies that can attack you per turn which i think can be useful. Also if counter returns that seems to be a good way to combat it..

Enh not really, it is just like having 5 more weight your con. The point of the nerf is prevent killing swarms of enemies on the enemy phase with them, so this works for me. That side effect also doesn't affect sniping non ranged people as well.

For precedent javelins were the heaviest lances that weren't broken(As in they broke) in FE4, hand axes were tied with Helswath.

Added in a few weapons that I missed the first time.

Notably, it seems that the Spear has also been changed to 2 range, so I'm guessing the Tomahawk will also receive the same treatment. IS really wants to prevent melee classes from becoming unstoppable enemy phase juggernauts.

Also my Japanese is not perfect but it definitely seems like the "Reverse" weapons act like Reavers from the GBA era, going by their description. The strange thing is that the color coding of the icon is still the same...

What about the Warrior Weapons then? I'm quite sure they serve ALMOST the same purpose.

they are A rank have lowered avoid, are expensive. and 18 mt (maybe 20 for the mace)isn't even that amazing quite frankly you probably would have killed them just fine with a iron/sliver/steel weapon anyway. Edited by goodperson707

I wonder what the massive damage upon critical means for the Killing Edge?

4x damage instead of 3x would seem a bit crazy even with 6 might. Though considering they've been adjusting other mechanics perhaps they've changed it and killers deal 3x on critical and everything else is 2x damage(which may make sense considering the previous famitsu scans make it look like 2 points of luck is only worth 1 critical evade).

The -20 Avo on Warrior Weapons can be pretty daunting for characters that are dodge tanks, but for meat tanks this is basically the perfect weapon for enemy routing. Silver Weapons are definitely the best player-phase weapon however.

Are we sure the penalty isn't cumulative? That could make silver weapons worthless for taking on many enemies in the enemy phase.
