Chapter 1: A Star is born

Fortuna Office

>The scene is at an office within a tall building, with the words "Fortuna Entertainment" etched on some of the windows. The office looks relatively casual, with sofas, vending machines, and a TV mounted on the wall.

Touma: Welp, here we are!

Itsuki: Looks more like an office than some kind of secret base...

Touma: Well, yeah. It is an office. Ever heard of Fortuna Entertainment?

Tsubasa: Oh, I know! That's the production company that Kiria belongs to!

Touma: Should've figured you'd know it, Tsubasa. But yeah, this is the Fortuna Entertainment office.

Tsubasa: Wh-Whaaat!? Really!? Wh-Why was I brought to a place like this!?

Touma: Just a regular production company on the surface... but secretly a team of Mirage specialists and investigators. That's Fortuna Entertainment. Oh, and I haven't told you guys yet, but this is the production company I've been working with.

Tsubasa: Why didn't you tell us about it!?

Itsuki: Yeah. You don't have to worry about telling us where you work.

Tsubasa: If I knew you were working at the same company as Kiria, I could've asked you to get me an autograph!

Itsuki: That's what you're angry about!?

Touma: Tsubasa, I kept my mouth shut because I knew this is how you'd react...

Tsubasa: Never mind all that, Touma! So... wh-wh-where's Kiria!?

Touma: Oh, she's not here.

Tsubasa: Why not!?

Touma: G-Geez, Tsubasa, chill out. Kiria's pretty busy with work right now. Not only does she have a ton of work, she's gotta get ready for that live performance too. She's got her schedule worked out down to the minute--even I haven't seen her in a while.

Tsubasa: ...

Touma: Tsubasa...? You okay?

Tsubasa: Phew... haahh.. phew... haahh...

Itsuki: What are you doing?

Tsubasa: Right now... I'm breathing air that Kiria was breathing... Oh, I can die happy...!

Touma: *Sigh* ... Oh, right. There was someone I wanted you two to meet.

Itsuki: Who's that?

Touma: Eh, you'll see. They're waiting for you just past that door.

>There is a blue door leading to somewhere in the room.

Touma: C'mon, Tsubasa. Back to reality.

Tsubasa: W-Wait! I'm not done enjoying the atmosphere yet!

>Game transitions to gameplay. The trio go through the door.

Bloom Palace

The trio find themselves at a shrine-like place, covered by greenery. There is a large tree behind an stone altar.

Tsubasa: Wh-Wh- What is this place!?

Itsuki: How is a place like this... in an office building?

Touma: Mind blown, right? This place is for Mirage Masters and those with strong Perfoma--those chosen by fate!

>Chrom and Caeda suddenly appear.

Chrom: This place... There's something about it that feels oddly nostalgic.

Caeda: Yes, for me as well. I wonder why that is.

Tsubasa: Caeda! Where are you been all this time!?

Touma: She's been with you since we left the Idolasphere. You just couldn't see her, that's all. As long as they're in the Bloom Palace though, they can go back to these physical forms. Heeey! Tiki!

>The mysterious, green-haired woman Itsuki saw in Illusory Daitama is sitting on the altar.

Tiki: Oh, big brother!

>She disappears, then reappears in front of the group.

Chrom: Huh...? Why do I feel as though I've met her before?

Tsubasa: I can't believe it... I can't believe you're making this little girl call you her big broth- Wait a minute... I think I've seen her somewhere before. Oh my gosh! It's Tiki! The Uta-loid! The virtual singer, Tiki! ... A-A real live Uta-loid!?

Touma: There's the reaction I was waiting for! And don't accuse me of the creepy stuff. ... You noticed that first? Look, let me introduce you. The Uta-loid you two know is a cover. Tiki's true identity... is a Mirage.

Tiki: Welcome to the Bloom Palace! I was waiting for you, big brother!

Itsuki: ... Big brother? Wait, me too?

Tiki: Mhm! If I'm not supposed to call Touma that, can you be my big brother instead?

The player is given two options on how to reply:

  • I don't mind
  • Well, uh...

>If the player chooses option 1:

???

>If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: Well, uh...

Tiki: ... I can't?

Itsuki: Oh, uh, I guess I don't mind if that's what you want to call me...

Tiki: Yay! Thank you, big brother.

Itsuki: You might be overdoing it a little. Oh--thanks for telling me that Tsubasa was in danger back there.

Tiki: I didn't do anything worth thanks... That's all I could really do. I wish I could've gone to help... but all I can do is stay here and pray that everyone comes back safely...

Itsuki: What do you mean by that?

Tiki: I'm a little different from the others... I'm bound to this place. Wait, um... big brother, do Chrom and Caeda still have their memories?

Itsuki: ... They both said they have no idea why they're here. It sounded like they couldn't remember much...

Tiki: I knew it...

Itsuki: Wait a minute... Tiki, are you missing your memories too?

Tiki: Mhm... I don't know why, but all Mirages have lost their memories of the past.

Itsuki: That... must be scary for you...

Tiki: ... Yeah...

Itsuki: ...

Tiki: ... Thanks for worrying about me, big brother, but I'm okay. We found Chrom and Caeda... And you and Tsubasa seem like nice people... so I'm really happy!

Tsubasa: Aww, Tiki... You're such a sweet girl! I'll be sure to come visit you every day!

Tiki: Thanks, Tsubasa.

Touma: Well, I think that about does it for introductions... Tiki, you wanna give them an explanation on Unity?

Itsuki: Unity?

Tiki: You know you have Perfoma, right? Well... Perfoma is like the power of the human soul to express itself. We fuse Perfoma with people and Mirages to awaken new power within them. That ritual is called Unity.

Itsuki: Awaken... new power?

Tiki: Hmm... Well, I guess you could just say it makes you stronger. I can't really fight like the other Mirages can... but I can perform Unity rituals for you here. So... let's perform Unity right now, okay?

The player is shown how to perform a Unity.

Tiki: This is all I can really do... but I'm happy as long as I can help you all, even if it's just a little bit.

Itsuki: We're more than grateful for the help, Tiki.

Tiki: Great! I'll make sure to do my best!

>Game transitions to gameplay. Itsuki can speak to Chrom, Caeda, and Cain for one-time dialogue.

Cain: Sir Itsuki! Touma seems pleased indeed at the prospect of fighting as your comrade-in-arms. I will be counting on you to help Touma. He can be a bit senseless at times, but he has a good heart.

Itsuki: Sure. By the way... Cain, are your memories gone as well?

Cain: Yes. I have lost all the memories of my time before meeting Touma... And as of now, their return seems unlikely.

Itsuki: I see...

Cain: But I confess, I have gotten quite used to my life alongside Touma and the others. However, that doesn't mean that I have lost my desire to find out who I really am.

Itsuki: Cain... If you need anything, I'll always be happy to help.

Cain: Thank you, Sir Itsuki.

Chrom: A strange place indeed... If we can manifest here, this sanctuary must function similarly to the Idolapshere.

Itsuki: Yeah.

Chrom: Taking form in your world consumes quite a bit of energy... We'll stay here in the meantime, barring emergencies. By the way, Itsuki... you'll be fighting alongside Touma from now on, right?

Itsuki: Yeah. To be honest, though, I have almost no idea what I should be doing...

Chrom: ... In truth, I could say the same. My memories are still all a haze... I know I am a Mirage, but... I can't even say for sure what a Mirage is, let alone who I am. Or what I'm supposed to do now...

Itsuki: Chrom...

Chrom: But if I stand by you... something tells me I'll find the answer. So... I ope you can put with me remaining at your side for just a little bit longer.

Itsuki: Of course it's all right. Besides, I wouldn't have a chance against the Mirages without you. Here's to a long and prosperous relationship, Chrom.

Chrom: Thank you, Itsuki. It'll be a privilege to fight at your side. You can usually find us here when things are quiet, but if you ever need us, we'll appear to help you.

Caeda: Oh, Itsuki. Hello.

'Itsuki: Hello. So you can materialize when you're in this room as well, then, huh?

Caeda: Yes, it would seem that way. Itsuki, I would appreciate it if you would look after Tsubasa. Sometimes, I believe she can be a bit... you know. Oblivious, perhaps.

Itsuki: Haha... Well, you're not wrong.

Caeda: And besides, it looked as though Tsubasa trusts you quite a lot. I'm sure she will need your support.

Itsuki: Well, she's been my friend since we were kids. I'll do what I can.

Caeda: *Giggle* Thank you.

>Itsuki and co. head to the entrance of Bloom Palace.

Touma: Hm? Looks like Ms. Maiko's back. She's said there's something she wants to talk to us about, so we'd better head back to the office.

Tiki: You're... going already?

Itsuki: Sorry. I promise I'll come visit soon.

Tsubasa: Me too! I'll definitely be back soon.

Tiki: Okay! I'll be waiting! Bye-bye!

>The team arrives back at Fortuna Office. Maiko is in the room.

Maiko: Hey there.

Tsubasa: Ms. Maiko! Your're so mean... Why didn't you tell me about the production company before?

Maiko: Oh, relax. I didn't want to overload you guys. Too much information at once can be a bad thing. Anyway, I just booked a lesson for you, Tsubasa.

Tsubasa: A lesson...?

Maiko: That's right. Dancing and voice training. I've decided we;re going to debut you as an idol. I think we're gonna go with the pure and innocent image for you.

Tsubasa: Wha... Whaaat!? B-But this is all so sudden! I... I-I...

Touma: Better get used to it, Tsubasa. This is how Ms. Maiko likes to run this place.

Itsuki: What about the Mirage attacks?

Maiko: Unfortunately, we have no idea when the next attack might be. So in the meantime, let's start your training! Trust me, you'll make a great idol, Tsubasa. My radar is never wrong about someone's star potential.

Tsubasa: Uhh.

Maiko: You know... if you work as an idol for Fortuna, it'd probably be a lot easier for you to meet with Kiria.

Tsubasa: Where do I sign!?

Touma: That was quick...

Itsuki: Sure was...

Maiko: By the way, you'll be going through singing and dancing training too, Itsuki.

Itsuki: Huh, me?

Maiko: Yes, you. Training as a performer will help your abilities as a Mirage Master as well, so it's worth your time.

Itsuki: What... exactly does that mean?

Maiko: Your power as a Mirage Master is dependent on your abilities as a performer.

Tsubasa: What do you mean "as a performer"...?

Maiko: Some of the earliest records of the performing arts come from dance as a part of religious rituals. The idea was to call the power of the gods into the performer--an invocation of spirits, if you like.

Itsuki: Call upon the power of spirits... Kind of like a Mirage Master's power?

Maiko: There's a dance in Noh theater called Kamioroshi, where the performer calls upon a god. It's a little like that. Muscical ability, acting, artistry... Honing these skills also increases your power of spiritual invocation.

Touma: Basically, if you're good performers, you'll be strong Masters.

Maiko: I'm not running this agency as just an empty front, you know. In any case, I've already booked your two for training. Life is about overcoming challenges, you know! Good luck on your first lesson!

Itsuki: Ummm...

Touma: Itsuki, Tsubasa... it's been nice knowing you. I'll make sure to say something real nice at your funerals.

Tsubasa: Huh?

Itsuki: Wh-Why exactly are you talking like you're sending us to our deaths...?

Maiko: You'll see when you get to the studio in Shibuya tomorrow. I've ordered the full course, so have fu-un. That'll be all for today. Dismissed!

>Game transitions to gameplay. Itsuki can speak to Maiko, Tsubasa, and Touma.

Maiko: Good luck with your first lesson! The studio is in Shibuya. I'll send you the details on Topic!

Tsubasa: Agh, I'm so nervous... How am I supposed to train...?

Touma: It's your first step in the industry. Lessons are the basics of everything, so pay good attention and learn what you can, okay?

>The player is given free rein to explore Tokyo. To progress in the main story, the place must travel to Shibuya.

Shibuya

The day of the lesson...

>A new message from Tsubasa appears on Topic. The conversation goes as follows:

Tsubasa: AAAAAAAAAAAA

Itsuki: What's wrong?

Tsubasa: what's wrong!? our first lesson is about to start! x_x

Maiko: I see Tsubasa's nice and nervous!

Maiko: The studio I'm having you two visit today is called the Uzume Lesson Studio.

Maiko: It should be right across the street from the train station. It has a really flashy sign--you can't miss it.

Maiko: Looks like you still have some time. Why don't you check out Shibuya while you're looking for the studio?

Maiko: Tsubasa, this is going to be your first step into the entertainment world.

Maiko: There will be good times and there will be bad times, but just remember: it's all to help you become a star. See you!

>In order to progress, the player must enter Uzume. Once inside, Itsuki and Tsubasa find a stocky man with blond hair.

Heavyset Man: ...

Tsubasa: U-Umm... Are you... our training instructor?

Heavyset Man: SHUT UP! I'm still doing my signature pose!

Tsubasa: S-Signature pose...?

Heavyset Man: Here it comes...! In a world of terrible singing, only one man can make it sound good again! Barry Goodman has arrived!

Tsubasa: ... I'm... Tsubasa Oribe... sir. It'll be a pleasure to work with you.

Barry: Okay, Tsubasa! Got it! You can call me Barry.

Tsubasa: Okay, Barr- Wait, Barry Goodman...?

Itsuki: Someone you know?

Tsubasa: Maybe. I remember a Barry Goodman was one of the guitarists at Kiria's live concert a few years back. Apparently, he was a famous guitarist for a famous American rock band, and his solo albums sold millions... But... that Barry Goodman was a lot more athletic-looking than him... so it's probably a different person...

Barry: Hahaha! Afraid not, Tsubasa. You're lookin' at him.

Tsubasa: What!? How much weight exactly did you put on!?

Itsuki: Tsubasa!

Tsubasa: O-Oh! I-I'm- I'm so sorry!

Barry: Don't worry about it. The little lady's got a point! Barry Goodman's just a Merry Fatman now. Yeah, that's all in the past now...

>Game's screen fades to black briefly, before coming back into colour.

Barry: All right, kid, you're up next. Name, please!

Itsuki: I'm Itsuki Aoi. Nice to meet you.

Barry: Maiko told me to give lessons to some rookies. And anyone who enters this studio starts out a rookie!

Itsuki: I'll try my best!

Barry: Good answer. I'm pretty in the zone today! All right, we'll train three times faster and tougher than normal!

Itsuki: Three times normal...? Do we really have to?

Barry: What, you don't know? Today's the release date for a figure from the best anime ever, "Dia Witch Iroha"! And they've only got a couple limited editions that come with a special bonus! Gah, I gotta get there on time!

Itsuki: O...kay?

Barry: What, you got something to say!? I'm not allowed to be a fanboy? HUH!?

Itsuki: I-I didn't say anything!

Barry: If I can't buy the limited edition, my life is OVER! So I need you guys to cooperate and finish this quick!

Itsuki: ...

Barry: If we don't make it out in time, Itsuki... I'll just make you get in line with me!

Itsuki: I-I got it! Triple speed's fine by me!

Barry: Maiko asked me to give you the full boot-camp experience. Honestly though, I'd say triple speed still isn't enough. All right... You better prepare yourselves, rookies!

>Barry's lesson begins. He starts by giving Tsubasa vocal training.

Barry: NO! How many times do I gotta tell you!? I can't feel an ounce of your soul in your singing! IF you're gonna howl and wail, get in the alley with the dogs! Listen, Tsubasa. My training can help your voice. But, you think you're gonna move anyone sinign' like that?

Tsubasa: No...

Barry: 'Cause that's what I'm hearin'! Keep singin' like that, and there'll be no point puttin' you on a stage! You're an entertainer now, Tsubasa--a professional! People are gonna pay big money to see you perform! You need to understand what it means to be a professional. If you can't do that, quit now and get outta showbiz!

Tsubasa: I can't do that! I need to find my sister. I have to-

Barry: I don't give a damn about your reasons! All you're doing right now is singing for yourself! I can't feel any message you're tryin' to put into it!

Tsubasa: For myself? Then how do I... put a message within my song...?

Barry: I can't just GIVE you the answer! You gotta figure that out! You gotta feel it within you! And you! Itsuki! Don't just brush this off as Tsubasa's problem. I'm talkin' to you too.

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • Y-Yes, sir!
  • U-Uhh...

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: Y-Yes, sir!

Barry: Awright! One more try!

Tsubasa: O-Okay!

>Screen turns black before turning back onto the characters. Skip down a few lines to the following text.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: U-Uhh...

Barry: Don't overthink it! You gotta ask your heart! Awright! One more try!

Tsubasa: O-Okay!

>Game's screen fades to black briefly, before coming back into colour.

Barry: Stop, STOOOP! This is a waste of time! I coulda been doin' somethin' actually productive! Like watchin' anime! If you want me to teach you anythin' else, you better go study up on your "Dia Witch Iroha!"

>Barry walks away.

Tsubasa: S-Sorry, Itsuki... It's probably my fault Barry got mad and left...

Itsuki: Don't worry about it. I'm sure I made a lot of mistakes too. You just ended up taking most of his criticism.

Tsubasa: *Sigh* I guess it's tough being an idol, huh? All this has got me thinking...

The player is given two options on what question to ask:

  • About working as an idol?
  • About Ayaha?

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: About working as an idol?

Tsubasa: ...No. I was just remembering my sister. It's just hitting me hard, realizing what a tough world my sister was living in... All the training and work as an idol may have been really difficult, but she never even showed a hint of that. She was always so kind whenever she was back home, and she was so cool and brilliant whenever she was on TV... *Sigh* I'm probably just not cut out to be an idol like her.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: About Ayaha?

Tsubasa: Yeah... I didn't expect you to guess so easily.

Itsuki: Just had a feeling.

Tsubasa: It's just hitting me hard, realising what a tough world my sister was living in... All the training and work as an idol may have been really difficult, but she never even showed a hint of that. She was always so kind whenever she was back home, and she was so cool and brilliant whenever she was on TV... *Sigh* I'm probably just not cut out to be an idol like her.

The player has two options on how to respond:

  • It's too early to give up.
  • I think you're pretty entertaining.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: It's too early to give up, Tsubasa. We've only had one lesson so far. We haven't even watched that anime Barry told us to study.

Tsubasa: Pfft...

Itsuki: ...Did I say something funny?

Tsubasa: I just... imagined watching one of those magical girl shows with you. Kind of a weird mental image... But thanks for trying to cheer me up. I guess you really never change, huh? I'll give it some more thought on my own. I'll see you later!

>Tsubasa leaves. Skip down past option 2 answers.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: I think you're pretty entertaining. I'm sure you'd make a great idol.

Tsubasa: I'm... not sure if I'm supposed to take that as a compliment... But thanks for trying to cheer me up. I guess you really never change, huh? I'll give it some more thought on my own. I'll see you later!

>Tsubasa leaves.

Itsuki: Oh...

Kiria suddenly appears.

Kiria: Hey.

Itsuki: H-Hello. Uh, um...

Kiria: Yes?

Itsuki: Well, uh... thank you for rescuing us at Daitama.

Kiria: Don't worry about it... But I just walked past your friend. She okay? She looked pretty depressed about something.

Itsuki: We just had a lesson with Barry... and we just ended up making him mad.

Kiria: Hmm. Well, getting mad is basically Barry's job. So. You got to stand there and listen to her sing, right? What did you think?

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • I thought she was really good.
  • I was just trying to keep up...

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: I thought she was really good. I don't think she really deserved that much criticism...

>Skip down to the second line of option 2.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: I was just trying to keep up... I couldn't listen much. But I don't see why he had to criticize her so hard...

Kiria: Huh. So I see... Hey... you two really want to be singers?

Itsuki: I don't know if I'd go that far, myself... but I guess so.

Kiria: Really. A singer has to use their songs as their words.

Itsuki: Huh?

Kiria: As a singer, she's still a newborn baby. Hasn't learned how to use her words, you know? But... a baby still has emotions. That's why they cry, right? Still have to express their feelings somehow.

Itsuki: I... guess so.

Kiria: So she should have sung as though she was crying. Barry would never miss that message.

Itsuki: So... you're saying I should get Tsubasa to cry... before training starts...?

Kiria: ...

>Kiria gives Itsuki something.

Kiria: Here, take these.

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • What's this?
  • Are you asking me out?

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: What's this?

Kiria: Tickets. To my live concert.

Itsuki: Concert?

Kiria: You should come watch it with her. It's up to her what she takes away from it... but I'm sure she'll-

Itsuki: Hm?

Kiria: ...Well, never mind. Yashiro Tsurugi's my costar. He's a top-class artist. I'm sure his performing skills can inspire you to be a better Master. Well, I have to get to practice. See you.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: Are you asking me out?

Kiria: ... Tickets.

See you.

>Itsuki leaves Uzume, receives a Topic from Tsubasa. The conversation is as follows:

Tsubasa: sorry i left without you today.

Tsubasa: sends a picture of a crying man

Tsubasa: I was feeling a little down earlier... but I still plan on trying my best.

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • Glad to hear it.
  • I've got a surprise for you.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: Glad to hear it.

Itsuki: I was worried that you'd be feeling depressed about it.

Tsubasa: aw, I made you worry again?

Itsuki: It's fine.

Itsuki: Oh, by the way...

Itsuki: I actually got tickets direct from Kiria for her concert.

Tsubasa: ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW

Itsuki: Super serious. Do you want to watch it with me? It's this joint concert thing called the "Siv Live" or something.

Tsubasa: SIV-LIVE? THE ONE AT THE 106!?

Itsuki: Yeah, that's the one.

Tsubasa: OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS

Tsubasa: {{Tmsfe-sticker-11}

Tsubasa: wait, so if I hadn't gone home, I would've been able to get the ticket directly from Kiria!? herself!?

Tsubasa: AAAH I'M SO STUPID! I shouldn't have gone home!

Itsuki: At least you get to go to the concert, right?

Tsubasa: but I feel like I totally missed out! >:c

Itsuki: I'm glad you're back to normal. I'll give you your ticket on the day of the concert in front of the lesson studio.

Tsubasa: thank yoouuu! ;w;

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: I've got a surprise for you.

Tsubasa: a surprise?

Itsuki: I actually got tickets direct from Kiria for her concert.

Tsubasa: ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW

Itsuki: Super serious. Do you want to watch it with me? It's this joint concert thing called the "Siv Live" or something.

Tsubasa: SIV-LIVE? THE ONE AT THE 106!?

Itsuki: Yeah, that's the one.

Tsubasa: OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS

Tsubasa: {{Tmsfe-sticker-11}

Tsubasa: thank yoouuu! ;w;

Day of the concert

>Game transitions to the day of the concert. In order to progress, you must speak to Tsubasa, who is in front of Uzume.

Tsubasa: Hi, Itsuki! The concert's about to start!

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • Then let's go!
  • Give me a second...

If the player chooses the second option:

Tsubasa: Aww...

If the player chooses the first option:

>Itsuki, Tsubasa, and Touma are directly in front of the stage, standing just behind the barriers.

Itsuki: Wow... Everyone's really excited.

Tsubasa: It's a live concert featuring both Kiria and Yashiro Tsurugi! Of course they're excited!

Itsuki: Right, Kiria mentioned him. Is he really that amazing?

Touma: A live concert this big... Yatsufusa Hatanaka's probably the only guy who could set up something like this.

Itsuki: Yatsufusa Hatanaka?

>Fireworks suddenly go off.

Crowd Cheer: Woooooo!

Tsubasa: Guys, it's about to start!

>Animated cutscene starts. Dark clouds appear overhead. Kiria performs "Reincarnation" on stage. Once she finishes, the crowd chants her name.

Tsubasa: Wow... Kiria's so amazing! She's so cool!

Itsuki: Whoa... I can see why you were recommending her all the time...

Tsubasa: See!? Just by singing... just by standing onstage, Kiria can give people energy!

Crowd Cheer: Kiria! Kiria! Kiria!

Tsubasa: ...

Itsuki: Tsubasa?

Tsubasa: ...

Itsuki: Are... you okay?

Tsubasa: I... I want my singing to give people that energy, too... I want to be able to shine onstage, just like Kiria!

Itsuki: Tsubasa...

Tsubasa: I've made up my mind... I'm gonna do it, Itsuki! So never mind all that stuff I said before!

Itsuki: Before?

Tsubasa: When I said I wasn't cut out to be an idol like my sister. Just watch... I'm going to be an idol, no matter what it takes! I may not be as good as Kiria, but I promise... I'll sing so I can give people energy and make my fans happy!

The player is given two options on how to reply:

  • I know you can.
  • It's not going to be easy.

If the player chooses the second option:

Itsuki: It's not going to be easy.

Tsubasa: Yeah, I know. But... I'm not going to let that stop me!

Itsuki: I'll be right behind you. I don't know what else I can do... but I promise I'll do anything I can help.

Tsubasa: If you're cheering for me, I feel like I can do anything!

>A glow emanates from her body. Skip down to the second option line.

If the player chooses the first option:

Itsuki: I know you can. I'll be right behind you. I don't know what else I can do... but I promise I'll do anything I can to help.

Tsubasa: If you're cheering for me, I feel like I can do anything!

>A glow emanates from her body. She holds it, and it envelops her. The game then says, "Tsubasa Oribe's soul as an entertainer has achieved a new awakening... Tsubasa's inspiration has taken form as a new Perfoma: Wings of Song!"

Tsubasa: Wh-What is this...? It... came from within me...

>Perfoma is shining before Tsubasa's eyes...

Maiko's Voice: Looks like you managed to find the answer all on your own, Tsubasa.

>Maiko appears in the crowd.

Tsubasa: Ms. Maiko?

Maiko: What you're feeling right now... is the message Kiria wanted to convey through her performance. And that Perfoma is proof that you found the inspiration for your own answer, Tsubasa. You just opened up a door within you to a new gift.

Tsubasa: A gift...

Maiko: Now then, next up would be Yashiro's... *Gasp*

>A black circle suddenly appears in the sky. Circles spewing purple fog are seen manifesting on the nearby buildings.

Itsuki: What!?

Tsubasa: Wh-What is that...?

Crowd Cheer: Wooooooooo!

Touma: Is everyone else not seeing this?

Suspicious Crowd: Huh...? I feel... so tired...

Crowd: Nngh... Everything's just a huge pain... Why does everything seem so... pointless...?

Maiko: Is this some kind of Mirage attack...? But I've never seen anything like this..

>Camera shifts to a feminine-looking figure, cloaked in red. She has her back turned to Kiria.

Kiria: You won't escape...

Mysterious Woman: ...

>The woman walks off. Kiria changes into her Carnage Form.

Kiria: I said, you won't escape!

>Kiria leaps into the air and lands in front of the woman.

Kiria: Wh-What!? You...?

Mysterious Woman: Out of my way.

>Kiria is forced to jump away as the woman summons enemy Mirages. Kiria is quickly surrounded.

Mysterious Woman: I sense an immense amount of Perfoma within her... Avoid killing her if you can. I want her alive.

>The woman walks away.

Kiria: Ugh!

>Itsuki and Touma both run up to the woman.

Itsuki & Touma: Hold it!

Mysterious Woman: ... I thought I said... get out of my way!

>She turns around and attacks the two males. Tsubasa is seen running up the the two.

Tsubasa: Itsuki! Touma! Huh...?

>The camera pans to the woman's face.

Tsubasa: A-Aya...

>The woman begins an attack.

Itsuki: Tsubasa!

Kiria: Ngh!

>The woman launches her attack at Tsubasa. Kiria intervenes just in time, taking the attack head-on. Although she is still standing, purple electricity crackles over her body.

Itsuki: *Gasp* Kiria!

Tsubasa: Ah... Aah!

Kiria: What... do you think you're doing...? We're in the middle... of a battlefield...!

Tsubasa: No... Kiria... Because of me, s-she...

>Yellow electricity starts to crackle over the mysterious woman's head.

Mysterious Woman: Ngaaah... M-My head... I must... continue my mission... and return to the Idolasphere...

Kiria: Wait... Ayaha, wait!

>Ayaha flies off, going through the newly-spawned portal that is now on the steps on the Shibuya 106 building. Kiria kneels over in pain.

Kiria: Ngh...!

Maiko: Kiria!

>The party surrounds Kiria.

Tsubasa: I'm sorry...! It's all my fault... I'm so sorry...!

Touma: Dammit, she's hurt pretty bad... This doesn't look good. We need to fall back and regroup.

Kiria: You... have to go after her. Something... is about to happen here. If we stop now, who knows what could happened to Shibuya... or the world...

Tsubasa: B-But how are we supposed to fight against that many enemies...? I... I can't fight against my sister...

Kiria: Stop making excuses!

Tsubasa: ...!

Kiria: For five years... you were looking for her, right? But you didn't have any clues, and no power to save her... But now... you do. So you have to go after her... no matter what.

Tsubasa: ...

Kiria: You're all Mirage Masters now. Like it or not, you're already involved in this. So, there's no point just running from your fate--when it's given you a chance like this.

Itsuki: Kiria...

Kiria: ... Say hi to Ayaha for me, all right? Tell her to hurry up... and come b-ngh!

Touma: Kiria!

Maiko: Don't worry, I'll take care of her. The rest is up to you.... Be careful, everyone.

Touma: Don't worry, Ms. Maiko, we got this! This looks like the perfect time for a heroic comeback!

Itsuki: We're the only ones that can do this.

Tsubasa: ...

Itsuki: It's all right, Tsubasa. We've got your back.

Tsubasa: O-Okay!

Itsuki: Let's go!

>Itsuki walks up the the entrance to the newly-spawned portal.

Itsuki: (An entrance to the Idolasphere... What should I do?)

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • Go inside
  • Cancel

>Itsuki sticks his hand into the portal, he and the others end up in Illusory 106.

Illusory 106

Itsuki: So this is...

Tsubasa: Aya... where are you...?

Caeda: Itsuki, make sure you keep an eye on Tsubasa.

Itsuki: Got it. Chrom, I need your strength again.

Chrom: And you will have it.

Touma: All right, Cain! Let's get this show on the road!

Cain: Well said! Let us storm the field with speed beyond speed!

>Game transitions to gameplay. Tiki immediately sends you a text. The conversation is as follows:

Tiki: I have a message from Kiria. You have chase after Ayaha... um... Oribe? She's in the Idolasphere!

Tiki: Maiko took Kiria to the hospital.

Tiki: You don't need to worry. ^ That was a message from Maiko.

>The party explore until Chrom suddenly speaks up.

Chrom's Voice: What is this presence...?

>An enemy Mirage cloaked in black appears.

Itsuki: (What in the world...!? This one's different from the others...!)

Editor's note: This is the game explaining Savage Mirages.

>Game transitions back to gameplay. The party explore until they hear a masculine voice screaming.

Man's Voice: Somebodyyyyy! Help meeeeeeeee!

Touma: Huh? Who's that...?

Tsubasa: Ah! Over there!

>A purple-haired man is seen cowering behind a wall. There are enemy Mirages in front of him.

Cornered Man: Anybody...! Please...! Stop these monsters!

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • We have to help him!
  • Sorry, hang on!

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: Sorry, hang on! We need you to hold out just a little longer!

Cornered Man: Whaaat...!? W-Well, come back quickly--please!

Game will not progress. You have to help out the man.

Cornered Man: Aaaah! Heeelp!

The same options are given again.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: We have to help him!

>Battle starts. Once the enemies are beaten, the conversation resumes.

Itsuki: Looks like we somehow managed to beat them...

Cornered Man: Th-Thank you so much, you three!

Touma: Huh...? Wait a sec... aren't you...

Itsuki: You know this guy, Touma?

Touma: This is Yatsufusa Hatanaka... Everyone in the industry knows him. He's one of the best producers around. He's the one that st up the live concert today, too... I-It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Hatanaka!

Hatanaka: Ahaha, well, rumors always blow my reputation out of proportion... I don't know if I'm THAT great. But... just what is going on? There was some commotion in the 106, and suddenly I was running for my life...

Tsubasa: Um... how should we explain...?

>Screen fades to black, before coming back into colour.

Itsuki: You'll be able to get out of this place if you follow those directions.

Hatanaka: A-All right... I understand.

>Yatsufusa leaves Illusory 106. A text from Maiko is received. The conversation is as follows:

Maiko: Hey, is everyone okay? I'm at the hospital now with Kiria. Don't worry, she's going to be fine.

Maiko: The wounds aren't anything life threatening but she might be out of it for a while. I'll contact you again soon

>The group explore until Touma speaks up.

Touma: Hey, look! Over there!

>The three look up and see Ayaha, who is looking directly at them. She turns around and walks away.

Tsubasa: Aya!

>Tsubasa runs after her.

Itsuki: Wait! Tsubasa! You can't just go after her alone!

Tsubasa: But, Itsuki, she's-

Itsuki: You have to calm down. We won't be able to save her if we just rush into a trap.

Tsubasa: Oh... ... Sorry. When I see her like that, I just remember what happened to Kiria... and it gets hard for me to think straight.

Itsuki: I see...

Tsubasa: Hey, Itsuki. You remember back in elementary school? How I used to be kind of clumsy?

Itsuki: ... Used to be?

Tsubasa: Yeah. Is... something wrong?

Itsuki: Uh, no. Nothing. What about it?

Tsubasa: Well, whenever I made a mistake and got all sad... my sister would always ask me to sing with her. And when I did... I'd forget all about being sad, and I'd just laugh and sing with her. So... if some Mirage is controlling Aya and making her do all this awful stuff... I won't let it hurt her anymore...!

Itsuki: If that's the case, then I guess I don't have anything to worry about.

Tsubasa: Worry?

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • That you wouldn't fight Ayaha.
  • About being yourself up.

If the player chooses the first option:

Itsuki: I was worried that if it came down to it, you wouldn't be able to fight Ayaha.

Tsubasa: Well, if I can avoid it... I really don't want to end up fighting her... But... both Kiria and Ms. Maiko trust me to do what I have to. So I want to save her with my own hands. This time, I'll be the one that helps her smile again!

Itsuki: I'm sure you can do it, Tsubasa. I'll do everything I can to help you.

Tsubasa: Okay...!

The screen goes black for a few seconds before transitioning to Itsuki and Tsubasa.

Itsuki: Plus, we've got one more teammate we can rely on. We've got this---right, Touma?

Touma: Damn right. C'mon, Tsubasa, we've got a rescue mission to take care of!

Tsubasa: Itsuki, Touma... thank you!

>Game transitions into gameplay. Skip down to the second option for the following text.

If the player chooses the second option:

Itsuki: You seemed really down. I was worried you might still be beating yourself up over this.

Tsubasa: There's no time to mope around.

Itsuki: Plus, we've got one more teammate we can rely on. We've got this--right, Touma?

Touma: Damn right. C'mon, Tsubasa, we've got a rescue mission to take care of!

Tsubasa: Itsuki, Touma... thank you!

>Game transitions to gameplay. The party explore until they find the entrance to the fourth floor. Itsuki senses a dangerous presence beyond the door, but enters it anyway.

Itsuki: This loos bigger than the other places we've been through... Are we sure we're going the right way...?

Touma: Jackpot. Right over there.

>Ayaha is found. The group rush over to her.

Tsubasa: Aya...! I finally caught up!

>A A purple spiral suddenly appears in front of Ayaha. A voice can be heard from it.

Mirage's Voice: Oh? If I'd known we'd be entertaining such adorable little guests, I'd have dressed for the occasion...

Ayaha: Nngh... Th-This pain in my head again...

Tsubasa: Aya... It's really you, isn't it!? It's me, Tsubasa--your little sister!

Ayaha: Who are you...? I don't know anyone like you... ... No, that isn't right. Those eyes--I know those eyes... That unwavering gaze... almost like... Tsubasa!

Tsubasa: Yes! It's me, Aya. I've come to take you back... so let's go home together!

Ayaha: No... it can't be her... Tsubasa was so small... an adorable little girl...

Mirage's Voice: Heh heh heh... Overslept, have we? Perhaps I can shed some light. I'd say, you've spent, oh... five years in slumber?

Ayaha: Five... years...

Mirage's Voice: Oh, but Ayaha, that must mean... that girl there truly is your dear sister.

Ayaha: Aah... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!

Tsubasa: Aya...?

Ayaha: No... Stop! Tsubasa, please... don't look at me with those eyes anymore! Don't drive me into this corner! I'm trying too... I'm trying so hard... But I just can't do it anymore! I can't go on like this...!

Tsubasa: Aya! What's wrong!?

Itsuki: It must be because of the Mirage that's controlling her...

Mirage's Voice: So quick to shift the blame. You know, darling, no girl likes a man who's so quick to point fingers... Me, controlling Ayaha...? Why, I'm insulted. After all, we're partners.

Itsuki: You mean... these are Ayaha's true feelings...?

Tsubasa: No- No, that can't be right! My sister would never say things like that. I saw her practicing so hard, every day. She practiced so late into the night... She was always working so hard!

Mirage's Voice: Poor, naíve little girl... You think hard work is the same as success? All it's good for is false comfort. Just a way of relieve some of the pressure--nothing more. Just ask her yourself.

Ayaha: The reason I practiced so late into the night was... I was just so anxious, I couldn't sleep... Better-looking girls dropping out... Better sings cut one after another... It didn't take long for me to realise, I was a joke. There was no way I could become an idol. But I couldn't let everyone down... It was just too much! I couldn't take it all! Please, just stop telling me I'm someone I'm not... I never had any talent to begin with!

Tsubasa: That's not true! When you were an idol, you shone like a beautiful star! I heard you sing... I could feel the emotion in it! I felt your passion for your music!

Mirage's Voice: You can talk all you like, girl, but I'm afraid Ayaha's not interested in listening to your little tantrum.

Tsubasa: That's not true! I don't believe that! What I believe in... is the Aya I remember!

Ayaha: Ngh... Ah...

Tsubasa: It's not about talent. You're a star--you're my idol. You were pretty, and cool, and I loved everything you did... and I'll always be your biggest fan!

Ayaha: I can... hear something... Is that... Tsubasa...?

Mirage's Voice: Well. That's problematic...

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • Hear something?
  • Problematic?

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: She hears something...? What does she mean by that...?

Mirage's Voice: I won't let you little wretches hold me back... There's too much I still need to do!

>A flying Mirage suddenly spawns, and Ayaha is taken away.

Tsubasa: Get out of my way! I don't care what you throw at me... I'm going to save my sister!

>Battle initiates. Skip down to second option where the battle begins for the following text.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: Problematic?

Mirage's Voice: I won't let you little wretches hold me back... There's too much I still need to do!

>A flying Mirage suddenly spawns, and Ayaha is taken away.

Tsubasa: Get out of my way! I don't care what you throw at me... I'm going to save my sister!

>Battle begins. After the battle is won, Tsubasa speaks.

Tsubasa: We have to hurry and go after Aya...!

Itsuki: Hold on, Tsubasa. We're going after her... but it might be better for you to take a moment and calm down first. ... And not just that. Something's bothering me with how Ayaha was behaving.

Tsubasa: What do you mean...?

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • She couldn't hear you.
  • That was one nasty Mirage.

If the player chooses the first option:

Itsuki: It was almost like... she couldn't hear you, Tsubasa.

Tsubasa: Huh?

Itsuki: Maybe it'd be more accurate to say... it was like your voice just wasn't reaching her. Think about it. She was following that Mirage's orders... but she wasn't really responding to Tsubasa, right?

Tsubasa: Now that you mention it... you might be right... But then... how can I get Aya to understand how I feel?

>Skip down to the fifth line of the second option as the rest of the lines are the same.

If the player chooses the second option:

Itsuki: I've got a bad feeling about that Mirage that was possessing her...

Tsubasa: Y-Yeah... I agree...

Touma: ... That's all!? Geez, man, you built it up like it was some big shocking twist.

Itsuki: It's not just that. I got the feeling that our voices... weren't reaching Ayaha. Think about it. She was following that Mirage's orders... but she wasn't really responding to Tsubasa, right?

Tsubasa: Now that you mention it... you might be right... But then... how can I get Aya to understand how I feel?

Caeda: Perhaps... through your song?

Tsubasa: Caeda?

Caeda: Tsubasa, I can sense your love for you sister... and I can feel your wish to save her from peril. I believe your best chance to truly express these feelings to her could be through the power of your singing.

Tsubasa: Through a song...

Chriom: After Kiria's performance... I'm starting to see how song can give words a certain kind of power. ... A power that's different indeed from the forces we wield in battle.

Tsubasa: Like Kiria's concert... Okay. I'll do it! I'm going to save Aya with my song. I know I can! Ah..

>A glow appears on Tsubasa again.

Tsubasa: This light... It's just like the one during the concert... is it Perfoma?

Chrom: Itsuki... if I'm remembering right, Tiki said she could use Unity to awaken new abilities.

Itsuki: Maybe with this Perfoma and Tiki's help, she could sing a song that could break that Mirage's control...

Tsubasa: Yeah! Let's go try it!

>Game transitions to gameplay. Itsuki can speak to Tsubasa and Touma.

Tsubasa: I can do this! I'll get through to Aya!

Touma: First, we need Tiki to help us perform Unity. Let's hurry back to the Bloom Palace!

>Tiki also sends Itsuki a text via Topic. The conversation is as follows:

Tiki: I think we can perform a Unity if we use Tsubasa's Perfoma.

Tiki: I'm ready whenever, so come to the Bloom Palace! I'll be waiting!

>The party travels back to Bloom Palace and speaks to Tiki.

Tiki: You need a special song to save Tsubasa's big sister, right? I think she might be able to learn that song with Radiant Unity.

>Tsubasa learns Radiant Unity "Feel My Voice".

Caeda: Tsubasa, you did it!

Tsubasa: Do you think I can reach her now...?

Caeda: You must believe in yourself, Tsubasa. I know you can save her.

Tsubasa: ... You're right! No matter what, I'm taking my sister back!

>Gameplay resumes. Itsuki receives a text from Touma. The conversation is as follows:

Touma: all right! another unity down! we got this now. i'm sure tsubasa's song can get through to her sister!

Touma: let's go to illusory 106! i'll cut my way through if i have to!

Touma: sends a picture of a masked man with the words "here i go!" written on it

>Going back into Bloom Palace triggers another conversation.

Tiki: Oh, hi, big brother.

Caeda: Hello, Itsuki.

Itsuki: Hey. What were you two talking about?

Tiki: I was asking Caeda if she's getting along okay with Tsubasa. How are you and Chrom getting along?

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • We get along fine.
  • I guess we fight a lot.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: I guess we fight a lot.

Tiki: Huh!?

Itsuki: Just the other day we ended up getting into a furious fistfight on the riverbank.

Tiki: What!?

Chrom: Come on, Itsuki... You know she believes whatever you tell her.

Tiki: So... it's not true?

Chrom: That's right. Our relationship is fine. Good enough to make bizarre jokes about, apparently.

Tiki: Good. I'm really glad to hear you're all friends.

Tiki: Thanks for being concerned for us, Tiki. Actually... There was something I wanted to ask you guys. If that's okay with you, I mean.

Caeda: What is it?

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: We get along fine.

Chrom: True. There's really nothing to complain about.

Tiki: Good. I'm really glad to hear you're all friends.

Itsuki: Thanks for being concerned for us, Tiki. Actually... There was something I wanted to ask you guys. If that's okay with you, I mean.

Caeda: What is it?

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • How does this world look to you?
  • Did you regain any memories?

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: How does this world look to you, Chrom?

Chrom: In our eyes, huh... I suppose when it comes to the literal sense, it's not different than yours.

Caeda: We actually experience this world through our Masters' senses.

Itsuki: Our senses?

Chrom: Yes, and everything I've seen and heard through you of this world intrigues me quite a lot. This singing and dancing you and the others are so involved in... All this "performing arts" business... It's strangely fascinating.

Caeda: Yes, I agree. When Tsubasa sings with so much joy, I feel like it even reaches my heart.

Itsuki: I see. Well, it makes me feel a little better to hear you two so optimistic about the situation.

Caeda: Thank you for your concern. You don't have to worry, though--there is at least one thing we can do to reclaim our memories.

Chrom: These incidents caused by Mirages... If we can the mysteries behind them, it could lead us to some clue about who we are. So we'll keep lending you our strength.

Itsuki: Thanks, you two.

Tiki: I'll do my best too, big brother!

Itsuki: I'll be counting on you too, Tiki.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: Were you able to regain any of your memories?

Caeda: Unfortunately, no. The only things we still retain are our names.

Chrom: Same for me, I'm afraid.

Itsuki: It must be unsettling to not be able to remember who you are...

Chrom: Well, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't. But I have to say, I'm kind of interested in this singing and dancing. Your "performing arts."

Itsuki: The performing arts?

Chrom: Yes. I've seen and heard it all through your senses... It's interesting, I guess. It's certainly new, but it feels it... resonates.

Caeda: Yes, I agree. When Tsubasa sings with so much joy, I feel like it even reaches my heart.

Itsuki: I see. Well, it makes me feel a little better to hear you two so optimistic about the situation.

Caeda: Thank you for your concern. You don't have to worry, though---there is at least one thing we can do to reclaim our memories.

Chrom: These incidents caused by Mirages... If we can solve the mysteries behind them, it could lead us to some clue about who we are. So we'll keep lending you our strength.

Itsuki: Thanks, you two.

Tiki: I'll do my best too, big brother!

Itsuki: I'll be counting on you too, Tiki.

>The party continue to advance until they reach a door. Chrom starts to speak.

Chrom's Voice: Hold on, Itsuki! I can sense something powerful just beyond this point.

Itsuki: Do you think...?

Chrom's Voice: Yes. It's that Mirage.

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • Let's go!
  • Let's wait

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: We need to go into this fully prepared. Let's not move ahead just yet.

The only way to progress is to choose option 1.

Chrom's Voice: Our foe is just up ahead. Are we ready for this?

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: All right... Let's go!

>The party travels to the roof of Illusory 106.

Tsubasa: Aya!

Ayaha: ...

Mirage's Voice: I have to say, I'm impressed yu came all this way just for her... A shame it was for nothing, in the end.

Itsuki: What have you done to her!?

Mirage's Voice: All I did was close her ears. Sweet nothings are much better than painful truths, right...? *Chuckle* And now she doesn't have to hear them. Isn't that right, Ayaha?

Ayaha: ...

Tsubasa: No... She can't hear anyone...?

Itsuki: Tsubasa!

Tsubasa: Itsuki...

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • You have your song now...
  • Don't be afraid.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: Don't be afraid. You can show her how you feel, through the power of your song! Now, Tsubasa! Sing!

Tsubasa: ...! Yeah... I want Aya to remember how singing was fun---how it felt... I want her to smile again... like we did when we sang together! I'll make sure she hears me...! I'll make her understand!

Tsubasa begins to sing to Ayaha. Skip toward to after option 1 for similar words.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: You have your song now... You can get through to her! Take all that kindness Ayaha gave you, and give it back to her in your song! Now, Tsubasa! Sing!

Tsubasa: ...! Yeah... I want Aya to remember how singing was fun--how it felt... I want her to smile again... like we did when we sang together! I'll make sure she hears me...! I'll make her understand!

>Tsubasa begins to sing to Ayaha. The more she sings, the more responsive Ayaha becomes.

Ayaha: Ah... This voice...

Tsubasa: Please... you have to wake up!

Ayaha: Ts-Tsubasa...?

Tsubasa: Aya!

Ayaha: Tsubasa, I-

Mirage's Voice: How did that break my curse...? Ugh, what an irritating little tune! But this is far from over... She is mine. And I will not allow you to take what's mine...!

>A flying Mirage appears behind Ayaha. Said Mirage is the source of the voice.

Ayaha: Aah!

Aversa: Ayaha... you don't need to listen to what anyone else says. You only need do as I command. No more anguish, regret, anxiety... You'll have nothing at all to worry about anymore.

Ayaha: I'll... have nothing...

Aversa: Yes... nothing. Just leave everything to me, and I'll take care of you...

Tsubasa: Stooop! You can't listen to someone like her... Please, Aya!

Ayaha: Ah... aah...

Aversa: Oh, but you don't need to pay attention to a sniveling little girl like her.

Ayaha: N-No... Tsubasa is my little sister... M-My...

Tsubasa: Aya...

Aversa: ... Ugh. If you can sway her heart that much, you're more of a nuisance han I thought. Ayaha... let's kill her.

Ayaha: K... K-Kill...

Aversa: Now. Kill her.

Ayaha: K-K-Kill... Kill... Ts-Tsubasa...!

Ayaha: Aaaaaaaaaaaahh!

>Ayaha screams.

Ayaha: Huff... Huff... Tsubasa... I...

Aversa: Well? Be a good little girl, and kill.

Ayaha: I... ... would never hurt Tsubasa! If you dare hurt my little sister, at all... I will never forgive you... I don't know who you are... but I want you out of my head!

Itsuki: Now's our chance to save her...! Chrom! Let's move!

Chrom: Right!

Itsuki: Hyaaaah-

>Itsuki rushes forward and attacks Aversa's Perfoma, severing the connection Aversa has over Ayaha.

Aversa: Gyaaaaaaggghh! Guuuh... I can't stop here... I have to find... another vessel...!

>Aversa flies of the building and descends. The group rush forward.

Touma: Dammit, she's getting away!

>Tsubasa turns to face Ayaha, who has returned to normal. After nodding to each other, Tsubasa turns to back to face down the building.

Tsubasa: ... It's okay. I won't let her escape! I'll never forgive her for what she did to Aya!

>Tsubasa jumps off the building and adopts her Carnage Form. An animated cutscene then plays, showing the Shibuya 106 building and the surrounding area. The portal over the building begins to expand, and Aversa is seen flying into the normal world. She is laughing maniacally. Tsubasa is then seen falling through the portal, looking determined.

Tsubasa: Hold on just a little more, Aya...

>Tsubasa lands on a Pegasus, which itself turns into the familiar half-Pegasus, half-jet bike* hybrid Tsubasa and Caeda usually ride during battle. Tsubasa lands in front of Aversa, ready to battle. Itsuki and Touma then appear, walking towards the two Pegasus Knights.

Itsuki: Touma!

Touma: Uh-huh...

Tsubasa: I won't let you escape!

>The four get ready to battle. The battle begins.

VS. Aversa

When Aversa first acts:

Aversa: Oh... this jealously burns hot... So jealous... jealous... jealous, jealous jealous jealous jealous JEALOUS!

>Aversa acts.

Aversa: Why do YOU get to have everything I want!? You'll DIE here!

Editor's note: Aversa will perform "Dark Envy" whenever she says this piece of dialogue.

When defeated:

Aversa: Guh.... uhhh... You think this... changes anything...? You think you've won...? More and more of my kind... will come and invade your world... The battle has only just begun... and when the dust finally settles... victory will be OURS!

After the battle

>Aversa dies. Shibuya returns back to normal. Tsubasa and Touma look pleased, though Itsuki appears to be in deep thought.

Itsuki: Invade our world...?

Ayaha: Tsubasa...

>Ayaha is seen standing next to Kiria, who looks completely fine.

Tsubasa: Aya!

Ayaha: I... I heard your song. I think that's why I didn't give in... I heard my sister--my sweet sister--singing for me. Thank you.

Tsubasa: A-Aya... *Sob*

Itsuki: Are... your wounds okay, Kiria?

Kiria: I'll live. I'm fine now, thanks to your help. More importantly, Itsuki... Thanks. For saving Ayaha.

Itsuki: I think Tsubasa probably deserves to hear that more than me.

Kiria: *Chuckle* Yeah, guess so.

Ayaha: Tsubasa, when did you get so tall...? And your singing was so beautiful...

>Tsubasa rushes into her sister's arms.

Tsubasa: *Sob* I've wanted to see you... for so long...!

>The scene shifts to Fortuna Entertainment. Itsuki, Tsubasa, Touma, Maiko, and Kiria are in the office.

Maiko: Shibuya's back to normal, and the crisis has been averted! Phew, what a relief! Itsuki, Touma, Tsubasa... I knew you could do it. I shouldn't expect any less from my favorite rookies! Ahhh, drinks tonight will taste even better than usual! Oooh, maybe I'll even crack open that vintage. Oh, but first... there's something we've learned about Mirages from this whole incident.

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • They're working together.
  • Possession looks weird.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: You mean... how being possessed makes you look strange? When that Mirage was controlling Ayaha, she looked really bizarre.

Maiko: Well, that's... true... but what I really wanted to talk about is something that Mirage let slip. It appears as though the enemy is some kind of organization from another world, intent on invading ours. I've had my suspicions before... All attacks so far have been small in scale, but I believe these Mirages are organizing... and may have a leader.

Editor's note: Skip to the third line at first option as the lines are identical.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: They're working together--that's what you mean, right?

Maiko: Yes... It appears as though the enemy is some sort of organization from another world, intent on invading ours. I've had my suspicious before... All attacks have been small in scale, but I believe these Mirages are organizing... and may have a leader.

Kiria: I wanted to say something... if that's fine by you. I've been thinking about fighting with Itsuki and the others from now on.

Maiko: Yes, I think that'd be a good idea, too. Make sure you look after them, Kiria, all right?

Kiria: Specifically, I was thinking Itsuki should continue to command us for combat.

Maiko: Hmm... I see.

Itsuki: Um... Are you sure you want me being the leader?

Kiria: Seems like the practical thing to do. I'm sure you're aware of just how much you already accomplished back there.

Maiko: You're so indirect, Kiria... Why don't you just tell him how impressed you are with his abilities?

Kiria: Anyway, that's all.

Tsubasa: D-Does that mean... from now on... we'll be working together with Kiria more often!?

Kiria: That's how it is. Looking forward to working with you, Tsubasa.

Tsubasa: Hhhhh, K-Kiria's smiling at me! And she said she's looking forward to working with me...! L-L-Likewise...! I-I may still be new, b-but I hope we get along, what with the nice weather we're having...!

Itsuki: Tsubasa... I think this is where you just say, "I'm looking forward to working with you too."

Tsubasa: I-I'm wooking forward to lorking with you too!

Kiria: *Chuckle* You're pretty funny.

Touma: Man, Kiria joining forces with Touma and Itsuki, the dynamic duo... We'll be unstoppable!

*The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • We're pretty good already.
  • Kiria alone is enough.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: I think we're pretty good already.

Kiria: You're pretty confident, huh? I guess we'll see if you're all talk.

Kiria joined the team.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: I'd say Kiria alone is enough.

Touma: What, you're saying you don't need me!? Geez, man, that's brutal. Ice cold.

>Kiria joined the team.

Maiko: Well then! I guess Kiria's little surprise caught us off guard, but I have an announcement too! I'd like you all to welcome a new friend to our little office!

>Ayaha walks in.

Ayaha: Hi, everyone.

Tsubasa: H-Huh? Aya?

Ayaha: I hadn't told you, Tsubasa... but I've decided to work at this office, as part of the staff.

Tsubasa: Wh-Whaaaaaaat!?

Maiko: I want her back in the entertainment business eventually, so this is essentially some light rehab first. Better not slack off, Tsubasa, 'cause not I can get her to kick your butt if you do.

Tsubasa: Auugh...

Maiko: Oh, and Itsuki... stay at my desk after this.

Itsuki: Huh? Me?

Maiko: I was wondering if you'd be interested in a... private lesson? It'd be fabulous. Scandalous. Delicious.

Tsubasa: W-Wh-What are you-

Maiko: Ahaha, your face! Just a joke...! Then again, Itsuki, if you're interested... I certainly wouldn't say no...

The player is given two options on how to respond:

  • Of course.
  • I'll have to decline.

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: I'll have to decline.

Maiko: Oh no, rejected!? I'm heartbroken...

Tsubasa: *Sigh* Geez...

Maiko: Well, that's it for today! Everyone dismissed! Ah, one last thing... Well done, you three. You did a fine job. Thank you... for saving Ayaha.

All three nod as the game transitions to Maiko appearing on the screen.

Editor's note: Please skip down to past option 1 answers as the lines are identical now.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: Of course.

Tsubasa: I-Itsuki!? You- You scumbag, you slimeball, y-you sleaze...! Ugh! Why do all guys only want the same thing...?

Itsuki: Huh? What's wrong? Ms. Maiko's a veteran in the entertainment industry. Her advice would be really helpful. After all, I still don't even have any idea if I should focus on singing, acting, or something else entirely...

Maiko: Oh. Well, that's... not exactly how I meant it. Seems like my jokes went right over your head.

Itsuki: Huh?

Tsubasa: *Sigh* Geez... now I feel like I'm the one with a dirty mind...

Maiko: Well, that's it for today! Everyone dismissed! Ah, one last thing... Well done, you three. You did a fine job. Thank you... for saving Ayaha.

>The three nod. Everyone bar Itsuki and Maiko leave the room.

Itsuki: So what did you want to talk with me about?

Maiko: Just wanted to confirm something. Is there any field in particular that appeals to you? Singing, acting, anything...?

Itsuki: Well... I never really planned on getting in the entertainment business in the first place, so I'm not sure...

Maiko: Just relax. You can say whatever's on your mind. You don't have to think too hard about it. Let's see... This time around, I had you join Tsubasa for her voice training. How was it? Did it make you feel like you'd enjoy being a professional singer?

The player is give two options on how to respond:

  • Not really.
  • I'd rather support others.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: Well... not really.

Maiko: Hm. Not a fan of singing, huh?

Itsuki: It's not that I don't like it... but I don't think I have any real passion for it, even with the lessons. I'm sorry I'm so directionless right now.

Maiko: Oh, it's fine, it's fine. I thought you might say something like that, so I came up with a plan just in case.

Itsuki: Huh?

Maiko: It would've been best if you had a preference... but if you don't, there are always other ways to handle it.

Itsuki: Uh, Ms. Maiko? It kind of sounds as though you've already decided what I'll be doing...

Maiko: I guess you could say it just came to me. We don't have the luxury of letting our talent just sit around, so... I'll just train you in everything!

Itsuki: E-Everything...!? Th-That's crazy! You're asking the impossible!

Maiko: To do the impossible, sometimes you have to get a little crazy! Oooh... now how am I going to market you...?

If the player chooses option 2:

Itsuki: To be honest... I'd prefer to support others than actually become a singer.

Maiko: Support?

Itsuki: I want to help Tsubasa out. I'd like to see Tsubasa become an idol and sing in front of an audience, rather than end up one myself. I'm sorry I'm so directionless right now.

Maiko: Oh, it's fine, it's fine. I thought you might say something like that, so I came up with a plan just in case.

Itsuki: ...

Maiko: Oh, and one more thing. I'd appreciate it if you looked out for everyone here as well.

Itsuki: Wait, me!?

Maiko: With this many teenagers around the place, I'm sure everyone's got their own problems to deal with. So I'd like you to be there for everyone if they need it. You could call it... emotional maintenance.

Itsuki: Uh-huh...

Maiko: I think you'd be pretty good at this kind of thing, Itsuki. Just look at all you've done for others already! Plus, helping out those in the industry though their is bound to be a good learning experience for you! So I want you to do your best, Itsuki! Let's climb these steps to stardom together!

Intermission

>Itsuki is in Shibuya. He receives a text from Maiko. The conversation is as follows:

Maiko: Hey Itsuki! I've got your first line of missions to help you on your rise to stardom!

Maiko: First is a dance lesson with Barry... and the other's going ot be a secret. <3

Maiko: It'll be at Uzume Lesson Studio. You know, the place where you and Tsubasa head your first lesson.

Maiko: Barry says you can come by anytime.

Maiko: It's fine if you want to walk around the city or help out some other people until you feel like heading to your lesson.

Maiko: sends a picture of a blushing bunny holding a martini glass with the words "Yeah!" written on it

Maiko: Oh one more thing. I dug out a laptop and left it one the desks in the office.

Maiko: I think it'll come in handy for keeping in contact with everyone. Give it a try if you want.

If the player goes to Bloom Palace, a conversation with automatically be triggered.

Woman's Voice: ... *Stare*

Itsuki: Huh...?

>Kiria's Mirage will appear behind a broken pillar.

Woman's Voice: *Staaaare*

>Itsuki turns and sees her. Tiki then comes floating over.

Tiki: Oh, Tharja! If you want to be friends with big brother, you can't just stare at him. You have to talk to him too.

Tharja: And what's wrong with just staring from a distance?

Tiki: It's much more fun to talk to someone face to face!

Tharja: Do you... think so too?

The player is given two choices on how to respond:

  • If it's okay...
  • You can stare, I guess.

If the player chooses option 1:

Itsuki: If it's okay... yeah, I'd prefer to talk a little more directly.

Tharja: ... Fine.

Tiki: Tharja's a Dark Mage Mirage. She's a little... weird, but when it comes to magic, she's unbeatable.

Itsuki: You're Kiria's Mirage, right?

Tharja: Yes.

Itsuki: Uh, I'm Itsuki Aoi. Nice to meet you.

Tharja: Charmed. ...

Itsuki: Um...? Is there something on my face?

Tharja: Just curious. Kiria talks about you sometimes.

Itsuki: About me?

Tharja: I have high hopes for you... I'd appreciate it if... you help Kiria out. She can be a little... reckless, sometimes...

Itsuki: Hmm... I know I get a lot of help from Kiria, but I really don't think she needs much help from me...

Tharja: I'm counting on you...

>Tharja disappears.

Itsuki: Oh...

Tiki: It's rare to see Tharja talk to someone that much! She's usually really quiet.

Itsuki: Really...?

Tiki: Mhm! I think she thinks you're interesting. So you should come visit and talk to her from time to time.

>Conversation ends.

>Itsuki enters Uzume, training with Tsubasa and Barry takes place.

Barry: One, and two, and three! All right, very nice! Let's take five, guys.

Tsubasa: That was pretty tough, huh?

Itsuki: You seem pretty... into this, Tsubasa... I can barely keep up.

Tsubasa: Now that I've got my first song coming up... I'm just really fired up, you know?

>Kiria enters.

Kiria: Are you guys finished with your lesson already?

Tsubasa: K-Kiria!? Wh-What are you doing here!?

Kiria: I decided I'll be your personal coach. I don't plan on going easy though. Think you can keep up?

Tsubasa: Of course! If you're the one asking me, I'll go through any training!

Kiria: How about you, Itsuki?

Itsuki: Huh? Me too...?

Kiria: Naturally. All right, you two. Let's get to it.

Tsubasa: Yes, ma'am! Coach! Miss! Tready for raining!

Itsuki: I'm ready too.
