Many hardcore Fire Emblem fans probably remember Gwimpage‘s Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn speedrun for 2015’s Awesome Games Done Quick. Well, his latest submission has been accepted, and he’ll be speed-running FE9 (Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance) in this year’s AGDQ.

For those unfamiliar with AGDQ; it is part of the Games Done Quick organization.

Games Done Quick is a series of charity video game marathons. These events feature high-level play by speedrunners raising money for charity. Games Done Quick has teamed up with several charities in its five-year history, such as Doctors Without Borders and the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The most recent event in the series, SGDQ 2015 (Summer Games Done Quick), raised its highest amount to date; over $1.23 million for Doctors Without Borders.

While the event schedule itself is not set in stone, the event dates and locale have been set. Attendee registration is anticipated to be open tomorrow, so should you be able to attend, you totally should. Awesome Games Done Quick 2016 is the next event taking place in January, 2016. The event will be taking place from Jan 3, 2016 – Jan 10, 2016, at the Hilton Dulles Airport Hotel, in Herndon, VA.
