Cipher S6 Weekly Recap: Daily Reveals, Magazine Promos, & S7 Previews!

As we get another week closer to the release of Series 6 of Fire Emblem Cipher, the news continues to pour in. Last weekend, we had a very informational livestream that showed off lots of new cards and artwork, and the reveals have continued.

This week, the @FECipher twitter account has showcased a lot of cards, including this beautiful Ayra SR, the first confirmed SR card for Genealogy of the Holy War.

Other reveals from this week include Ethlyn and Claude from Genealogy, as well as Beruka, Midori, and Kaze from Fire Emblem Fates. All available translations of new cards and their effects can be found on the Series 6 page of the SF Cipher Wiki.

Once again, Nintendo-focused Japanese magazines will also be offering Cipher promos for S6. The October issue of Nintendo DREAM will contain a promo card of Sigurd, while Dengeki Nintendo’s November issue will contain a promo of Ayra.

The street date for both magazines is September 21st, so the promos will actually be released before the set. They can be pre-ordered from Amazon Japan via the above links, and can be delivered internationally. Each magazine comes with two copies of the promo card, so you can keep one for yourself and trade one with a friend.

Some twitter accounts have also been sharing some additional cards and artwork. @cardland_cipher and @akibagrapan shared some clean digital images of many cards from the upcoming series. These images include Raquesis, Arvis, and Deirdre from Genealogy, as well as new artwork for Camilla, Leo, and Elise from Fates.

@syabiiiii shared some photographs of an advertising poster for S6 that shows two new cards: Lewyn from Genealogy and Siegbert from Fates. We’ve seen the art for both cards before, but this is the first time their card text has been shown.

Two promotional posters for S6 have also been revealed. The two double-sided posters can be put together to show art of Xander and Ryoma on one side and Sigurd and Arvis on the other. The posters were showcased during the livestream, but now we can share some further details about them.

One poster with Xander on one side and Sigurd on the other can be obtained by buying a booster box of S6 from participating retailers in Japan. The other poster with Ryoma and Arvis can be obtained by participating in local tournaments. As such, fans must buy cards and also participate in a tournament in order to complete the art.

We know that the Xander artwork is used for his S6 SR card, so it can be presumed that Ryoma’s art will also be used for his SR in the upcoming S7. We have not yet seen where the Sigurd and Arvis artwork will be used, but since neither of them have revealed SRs yet, it is possible that this will be their SR art as well.

This week’s news is not limited to S6, however, as we also have a store advertisement that gives us a sneak peak at some upcoming cards in S7 this December. Eliwood, Nino, Lyn, and Hector in purple are all characters from Blazing Sword while Hana, Ryoma, Sakura, and Fuga are representing Hoshido from Fates.

The flipside of the advertisement reveals a new gameplay mechanic that will be a part of S7. Purple cards from S7 will utilize a mechanic called “Support Value X” where the value of the support will change according to what you have on your field. More details about this mechanic will be forthcoming at a later date.

Cipher Series 6 will release later this month on September 29th. We’ll continue sharing new cards and artwork as they’re released in the meantime.
