Cipher S7 Weekly Recap: First Daily Reveals, Site Updates, & More!

With Series 6 of Fire Emblem Cipher released over a month ago, eyes are turning towards the upcoming release of S7 in early December. Just recently, the information has begun to flow, starting with our first Twitter revels and an official page made for S7 on the Cipher website.

The very first cards revealed are the unpromoted versions of Eliwood and Hector, two of the Lord characters of Blazing Sword. The text of Eliwood’s card is the same as the preview promotional card he received in the S6 booster boxes, while Hector’s card showcases his strengths as a defense-oriented unit, just like in the games.

The other cards showcased this week include Ryoma (Hoshidan King), Saizo and Kagero (both Master Ninjas) from Fire Emblem Fates, as well as a SR card of Lyn (Blade Lord) from Blazing Sword. Saizo and Kagero’s cards fit together to form one complete artwork, while Ryoma’s SRs card matches Xander’s S6 SR card to continue the panorama.

In addition to the Twitter reveals, the main FE Cipher website updated to include an official page for S7. The update is small, but includes some interesting information, such as the pack art shown below featuring Ryoma and Eliwood as the two featured characters of the set.

Additionally, two different holo marker cards will be included in booster boxes as promotional items to replace the 1st Anniversary holo reprints from S5 and S6. The page also confirms that there will be no Structured Deck released along the booster series release.

We’ll get to see some more S7 cards during the Autumn Livestream which will air on NicoNico this Saturday. Ryoto Kawade and Young will be hosting once again, and they will be joined by three special guests: Kotaro Yamada (artist of the Hasha no Tsurugi manga), Juri Kimura (Mozu & Nyx’s Japanese VA), and Kaori Nazuka (Hinoka’s Japanese VA).

In addition to revealing some of the S7 contents, the livestream will likely show off additional artwork for S8 and hopefully some new merchandise that will be available at the Cipher booth at Comiket 91 this December. We will also likely see the announcement of S9 and the games that will be featured in the series.

The last S6 product was released last week: the 6th official Fire Emblem Cipher Guidebook. The Guidebook contains a card catalog of all S6 cards, as well as gameplay information and teasers for the next set. It also contains 2 copies of a special promo card featuring Eldigan from Genealogy of the Holy War.

The Guidebook is currently still available to order from Japanese retailer AmiAmi, or from Amazon Japan.

Cipher Series 7 will release in little over a month on December 8th. We’ll continue sharing new cards and artwork as they’re released in the meantime.
