Another week of Fire Emblem Cipher reveals from the @FEcipher twitter account has given us some further glimpses into what we can expect in Series 8, including these gorgeous cards of Julia from Genealogy of the Holy War that were just revealed today!
As expected, Julia earned herself a coveted SR slot next to other important Genealogy characters such as Seliph, Altena, and Shannan. The remaining two SRs are still unknown, but it’s very likely that Julius will be one of them.
Speaking of SRs, the fifth Awakening SR was also revealed this week, featuring Cherche as a Griffon Rider. Meanwhile, Virion and Owain join the party as Rare foil cards.
The final daily card reveal of the week is actually one reveal given to two separate but associated characters: Hannibal and Coirpre from Genealogy.
A few more S8 cards were teased in this glimpse of one of Kawade’s Cipher decks that was shown off in a recent Cipher column update. In addition to some previously revealed cards, we can also see new cards for Tiki, Sumia, and Emmeryn.
Kawade played this deck in a match against Hagi Michihiko, Ike’s voice actor, at Cipher Sai East in Tokyo this past Sunday. The same column provided a number of photos from the festival as well. It looks like everyone had a blast!
Cipher Sai attendees shared photos of some new artwork from the upcoming S9, including finished and coloured artwork of Roy from Binding Blade and Al from the Hasha no Tsurugi manga posing together, as well as the completed artwork of Skrimir from Radiant Dawn.
Today’s column update also revealed a digital version of some new Cipher art of Alm from Fire Emblem Echoes by Hidari, the game’s official artist.
Finally, Kawade spoke out over Twitter today to make a few important announcements regarding S9. He officially unveiled the title for the S9 booster series, “Roaring Echoes” (響地轟轟) and revealed that we will get another Structured Deck with the S9 release. This is particularly exciting since we have not gotten an ST deck since S6 last autumn.
Cipher Series 8 will release in just a couple weeks on March 17th. We’ll continue sharing new cards and artwork as they’re released in the meantime.
