Heroes: Alm & Celica Bound Hero Battle Special Map and Summoning Focus!

A new challenge awaits you in Fire Emblem Heroes! Today marks the beginning of a new event: Bound Hero Battles. The first Bound Hero Battle features the two lords from the newest game, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

Bound Hero Battles function very similarly to Grand Hero Battles. They’re available in three difficulties, and all four heroes must survive the map in order to earn your rewards. However, you do not earn a new hero as a prize. Instead, Orbs are rewarded for completing each map. You earn 2 Orbs for Hard, 3 for Lunatic, and 4 for Infernal.

A new Summoning Focus banner is also available! Within the Alm and Celica’s Battle banner, you can summon 5★ versions of three Echoes characters: Genny, Clair, and Lukas. Alm, Faye, Mae, and Boey are also still available in the current Tempest Trials banner.

The Alm & Celica Bound Heroes Battle and its associated Summoning Focus will be available for one week until 13 July at 6:59am UTC. Do your best to complete these maps and earn some useful Orbs!

      Indeed. 😛

Or what we call their ending

Okay, what the hell?! It’s supposed to be named “Bond Hero Battle”, not “Bound Hero Battle”! How could they made such a simple typo?! Bunch of amateurs! Oh, and speaking of typos, Kirie, you misspelled “Boey”! Please fix it?!

(Sigh) Whatever, moving on! Of course they added Infernal mode for this battle against Alm and Celica! Jeez, earning new heroes from Infernal Grand Hero Battle is one thing, but beating Infernal Bond (excuse me, “Bound”) Hero Battle to earn the Orbs?! My God, have mercy, why don’t you, game?!

I did get the name fixed, thanks. I think the use of “Bound” in the name of the event is to reference the fact that the characters are bound together by fate. It has a very similar meaning in theme, just functioning as an adjective instead of “bond” which is a noun.

If you think you’re going to be figuratively banging your head against a wall trying to attempt Lunatic/Infernal, just wait for other people to do it, watch some video’s, ask for ideas, and see if you can’t get any inspiration from that. Even if you don’t have the exact same units, strategies can often be executed for the most part with comparable units as substitutes.

Heroes has been a lot of chokepoints and waves of enemies lately. I don’t know there are other ways to create difficulty in a game like this, but I’m definitely struggling to enjoy myself, and I’m more than well enough equipped to deal with what it’s been throwing at me.

Sort of annoying that all the heroes from both these banners were available recently from the Echoes banners. Plus the Fury banner is super weak.

Yes, I have beaten Hard, Lunatic, and that devilish Infernal modes of the “Bound Hero Battle” against Alm and Celica! All thanks to the video that I watched earlier today! And yet, from the new Tempest Trials Banner, THIS GAME STILL WON’T LET ME SUMMON ALM!!
