Heroes: Version 2.2 Update Brings Many Updates, All Live Now And Incoming Love Abounds Banner

Summoners have been anxiously awaiting the incoming Version 2.2 update. It’s giving us quite a handful of delightful goodies. There are many surprises hidden amongst the pile of presents, starting with the Love Abounds banner, before getting to the Weapon Refinery upgrades and the slew of other features.

This is a fantastic 30th birthday gift for me!

The Love Abounds banner will feature special versions of Lilina (Green Mage Cavalry), Roy (Bow Cavalry), Hector (Axe Knight) and Lyn (Blue Mage Knight), and is available as of February 9 until March 8. Of course, a new Paralogue trio will also come, giving us many opportunities to score orbs for the inevitable summon sessions.

There will of course also be the new Grand Hero Battles, Tap Battle, Daily Maps, Special Training Maps and much more (plus some new maps & other things that haven’t yet been officially announced) coming, so definitely get that Stamina ready. Of course, our new Heroes come first:

Version 2.2 also gives us some neat Quality of Life updates, such as a change to the Wrath skill. It now gives +10 damage to Area of Effect/Pre-Combat skills, suck as Blazing Light and Growing Wind. Additionally, the manakete transformation now only applies once per map. Every other time, the manakete will automatically be a dragon.

Tap Battle: Illusory Dungeon, will begin on February 9, and will run for two weeks. You’ll find this in the Events section of the Battle menu, as well as future Tempest Trials and future events. This Events section was added to consolidate things in the main Battle menu to make navigation more user-friendly.

Evidently, the upper-left icon will give us access to a new mode available during the incoming March Update. This event will contain maps that can only be played by Legendary Heroes and heroes with Conferred Blessings on them, so thank goodness that some of these new maps will offer Blessings as rewards.

The newly advertised Special Training Maps will be available as of February 9, featuring a rotation of Melee->Ranged->Bows->Magic->”The Workout”, featuring 5 difficulty options (From Lv. 5 to Lv. 34). These will be a great opportunity to train up some units in maps that will offer tons of EXP and SP collecting opportunities via reinforcements. Orbs and Blessings will be rewarded for the first clears of each map.

The next Squad Assault, Squad Assault 7, is available now, and will offer up a Squad Assault G Sacred Seal, boosting Defense by +1/+2/+3 depending on its level of forge.

We can also look forward to the Grand Hero Battle cycle staring on February 9 of Narcian->Navarre->F!Robin (Mystery Tactician)->Ursula->Lloyd->Michalis->Xander on a Monday->Sunday schedule, with new quests coming in for the Grand Hero Battles starting immediately. This means that Lloyd will be first to appear. Grand Hero Quests will be available for an entire year, so look forward to these!

Also, the Manakete battle transformation will only occur once per battle, per Manakete, helping speed along battles that you watch animations within.

Finally, the Heavy Blade and Iote’s Shield Sacred Seals are available for purchase from the Sacred Seal Forge, so if you missed them, now’s your chance to pick up the pair and see how useful they are in tandem with some of these new units.

Good luck and enjoy your new update, Summoners!

Special thanks to the folks at Gamepress,
for access to much of this information
