Heroes: Thracia 776 Heroes Coming This April!

@FE_Heroes_JP made a surprising announcement over twitter this morning. Three Thracia 776 Heroes will be arriving in the game shortly: Leif, Finn, and Nanna!

Don’t rush to buy your Orbs just yet, however. These new heroes will not be available in the next banner later this week. Instead, they’ll be coming to the game sometime in April. As such, us Thracia fans will have plenty of time to save up orbs still.

    FINALLY!!! (^o^)/

  • Xeph660

    MY BOY FINN AT LAST!

    • Zog58

And plenty of time to save for him!

  • Leif’s looking a little wider in the face than I remember…!

    • speedster

That’s because he no longer starves… for attention. Light Brand or Blaggi Sword?

  • Sentinel

    Nanna looks niiiiiiice! 🙂

Sadly, if she’s a healer, I probably won’t draw for her unless she really has something unique. Healers are kind of a pain to level up in Heroes, and Elise and Genny already fulfill most of whatever I need.

    • Shenai

They’re a great way to accumulate hero merit though, at least if you use one for training units to level 40 (my standard is two dancers, a healer and whichever unit I’m training). I have almost all of the healers and they’re all trained and with useful healer skills 😉 but I agree that I probably wouldn’t try to get a 5* healer.

    • 100%B-Type

But as 5* Unit, you can refine her Staff with the Razzle Dazzle effect for more Profit~

    • Laggalot101

Shards and crystals go a long way to levelling up healers if you can’t stand how slow that process is. Then it’s just a matter equipping them for offense first so they can start building up SP from kills, too. Honestly, I think a new staff-wielder is loooooong overdue, especially now that they are actually good aside from their poor arena value. I’m running an Elise right now, and Razzle Dazzle Gravity+ (with Savage Blow) is hilariously broken if you have the space to provide proper movement support. Nanna may be the first staff-user in a long time, so that should be promising if it turns out like that. I think she’s bound to be a good unit.

  • Vaximillian

Nanna looks like Kokon Konfuzi drew her (the artist for several Cipher cards, as well as amazing Faye and L’Arachel in Heroes). I must have her! I must have all of them, actually. All of them.

  • speedster

My favourite lord and two of my favourite character from Thracia

  • speedster

Leif looks like the knightiest out of all the lords with that armor

  • 100%B-Type

Almost every “Lord” is in the Game, now we wait for TMS# and Warriors Charas~

    • speedster

not happening. co-developers would have to get a share of profits and the only product is orbs, meaning that they would get a share from all the money spent on orbs, but it’ll be convoluted in how the partnership works in the long-run, much less setting a share percent. though if they go the BK deal way then it could happen

      • dmurr

They could negotiate in a different way than a percentage of profits, but I agree they aren’t coming. The Choose Your Legends survey not offering them is enough to convince me they’ve written off characters from spinoffs.

        • …which is frankly obnoxious because I want Shade.

      • 100%B-Type

I see! I didn´t know there was a deeper meaning in crossovers with developers! I was just thinking: they appeared in Cipher 0 but not yet in Heroes. Thank you for telling me~

        • speedster

Pretty much this. A common argument I see for these characters is that they appear in Cipher. But Cipher has different products such as booster packs and structure decks. And these are just categories. The variety in each goes way further

    • Kneekicker

It’s a shame too, because a potential TMS appearance in Heroes might’ve salvaged the game’s reputation somewhat and perhaps even revive it. That game really did not deserve all the vitriol it got and it’s disappointing that most only know it through the censorship fiasco.

Still, there’s always the chance of a collaboration event in the future, like what many other gacha games do. TMS and Warriors are unlikely, but I wouldn’t necessarily write them off as completely impossible.

It’s about time Thracia came…though seeing as I’m not a fan of the game (I personally put it as one of the weaker entries), I don’t really care much for this banner outside of perhaps some meta defining skills. The art for Leif and Nanna look great though fin is fine.

    • I’d love to hear your reasoning around how it is one of the weakest entries when Awakening, Birthright, Revelation, SS, SD and Gaiden/Echoes all exist.

      • Zog58

Awakening: Eh, I can understand that.
Birthright/Rev: Why not play Conquest, right?
The others: HUH? Even SD has its charms in different map designs. Echoes is hit or miss for mos players, but the characters were great and the world-building was excellent. SS is mostly easy, but Lyon is an awesome villain, it has several other memorable characters (Gerik? Marisa? Tana?) and I would even say some of Ephraim’s maps were somewhat challenging on a no-grind (unless you Seth/Duessel abuse).

      • mrkisukes

Gameplay wise it is a mess, with an over abundance of luck with the biggest offender being staves missing and several chapters (like Ch11). The capture mechanic is neat but the execution is poor with all stats getting halved, compounded by how rather than being a nice bonus to reward player risk and planning, it is a necessity because you have no funds and weapon durability is really low. In essence, it punishing the player for not using this tedious mechanic that artificially gives the illusion of difficulty. FoW chapters are also BS with the map being pitch black because you know what I like when playing a map? not having a clue what is even going on or how I should progress though the map; again, an annoying mechanic to artificially make it difficult.

  • Laggalot101

Never played Thracia, only heard stories of the game’s… unorthodox design choices and brutal difficulty. But I’m happy for the fans of it. It’s the last main-line game to see its main characters represented. The art looks pretty nice from what little can be seen here, and I’ll definitely be happy if Nanna turns out to be a staff-unit. I’m guessing Leif and Finn will be a Sword-infantry and Lance-cavalier unit respectively.

  • Diovani Estivalet

Nanna is the unit I am looking forward. The last staff user we had was Genny (Lyn doesn’t count because she is a limited unit and Loki isn’t a playable unit), so I want to see what the can bring to the game now. I have a Wrathful Staff ready, so if Nanna has good stats, the Genny’s B-skill will go for her.
Leif will probably have good stats and a full skill set, and about Finn… I don’t know what to expect from him.

  • Diovani Estivalet

We are getting 3 units from the Thracia 776 banner. That’s means we will get a 4th unit from a Grand Hero Battle or as a Tempest Trial reward?

    • Zog58

      Asbel/Asvel or Ced/Sety please?

      • mrkisukes

I think Ishtar is the most likely candidate for GHB, since those are filled in by villain characters or by characters that at least acted as a villain in some part (Oliver, Xander). Sety and Asvel both are more likely to be a TT unit with Sety being the more likely choice, but I think someone like Mareeta (yet another sword) is a likely candidate or even Galvus (who’d also fit into the GHB format). Personally I’d prefer Tina as a dancer.

        • Zog58

I assume for the dancer you meant Lara right? Be really interesting if they gave her trash stats but the ability to refresh all surrounding allies with an uninheritable skill (like most FE 4/5/9/10 dancers). I almost feel that Sety is too popular to not be on a banner (the man and his tome produce cash imo), which I suppose is fine in the end, more possible copies for me eventually. Mareeta though? It’s possible, she would be a lot like Ayra but with a broken Brave Sword like Alm and Elincia. Putting too many of those in the common summon pool would be an issue, so a limited TT reward would be nice. A Galzus GHB would be a nice touch, save Ishtar for another FE4 banner.

  • Kneekicker

Seeing modern Finn and Leif slightly bothers me since I’m not used to them without their big tuffs of hair, which is strange since that never bothered me with Sigurd.

  • dmurr

    I don’t like Finn or Leif’s artwork

    • The Mercenary

      Why though

  • Daniel Smith

Am I the only person that thinks its weird that Nanna looks really similar to Priscilla?

    • Suicunesol

They both have the wings in the hair, but otherwise the hair color is totally wrong. Priscilla may have been inspired by Nanna, though~

  • Connor Whitney (Gator Down Pro

Wow, I just started my Thracia playthorugh, what were the chances?

  • There is a god.
