Heroes: Rulers of the Laguz Trailer & Forging Bonds + Light Blessing Quests!

Beast Heroes from Tellius are finally joining Fire Emblem Heroes! Check out the Rulers of the Laguz Trailer below for our first look at Tibarn, Leanne, Reyson, and Nailah.

These new heroes are all Laguz from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. They also comprise a new ally type in Heroes with the “Beast” weapon type. Each comes with a new weapon and at least one other new skill. Read more down below for a text breakdown of their skills and abilities.

Our first new story chapter for Book III, “Countdown” will introduce these four new heroes to the Heroes world. They will also play a starring role in the upcoming Forging Bonds: Hearts as One.

This edition of Forging Bonds will also include some changes to the rewards structure. First Summon Tickets and Heroic Grails have both been added to the Friendship rewards tiers. Otherwise, we’ll still get our daily Orbs and earn new accessories, though we’ll need to wait for the event to start for full reward details.

Furthermore, one more new ally, Naesala, will also be available in a new Grand Hero Battle shortly after. Presumably, additional Beast-type allies will also be released throughout the year, perhaps from other games as well.

The Rulers of the Laguz banner and Forging Bonds event both start this Friday, 11 January. Naesala’s GHB will start the following day, 12 January.

Lastly, Light Blessing Quests also began yesterday! These quests require you to perform certain actions with heroes that have had a Light Blessing bestowed on them. You’ll have until 22 January to complete them. Check out full details on the Quests & Missions page in game.

The Banner and Forging Bonds this Friday are also the final events listed in our current Event Calendar. We also have another version update scheduled for early this month as well. Hopefully we’ll be getting our update and a new calendar soon!

Having both Leanne and Reyson introduced at the same time seems excessive, but I don’t particularly mind since I like both of them and Naesala is also coming too.

Tibarn looks to be really strong, as expected. I’d definitely be gunning for him, so I guess I’d better stop pulling on New Years.

F***. i totally forgot they were coming. i would have saved my orbs had i remebered. oh well.

  • PhychoMeows

I am so excited for this!!!! I have just over 800 orbs saved so I hope it’s enough for all of them…

  • 3-13 Archer

OMG, I need all of them! The Tellius games will always be my favourites. I was shocked when I saw both Reyson and Leanne because I feared they could sing to more than one ally (when transformed, at least). Also “Life Returns”>>>>>>>>”Lost in Thoughts”.

Been waiting and saving forever for this. It’s kind of weird that the herons were given offensive weapons, but I guess that’s just part of the game. Naesala is just about my favorite character in the series, but I’m not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse that he’s a GHB reward

  • James Richardson III

    243 orbs and ready!

  • While I love these games, Naesala is the one I want the most from this batch, and he’s turning out to be free. I think I’ll keep saving for the FE6 banner.

I didn’t realize that Tibarn was a Lannister.

These are nice units and all, but IS really needs to focus on improving the modes. It doesn’t matter how high quality the heroes are if the modes you’re expected to use them in are still low.

IS hasn’t added anything new to the core gameplay since trenches way back. Rival Domains brought in “defend/attack the point” gameplay, but that’s never been applied to modes with narratives like the main story or Forging Bond. Forging Bond in particular is a let down since it’s just a bunch of Stratums that you auto battle through, but if there were special challenges that you unlocked along the way that connects to the story, things would be more interesting. Using the Forging Bonds that had Aversa, Kliff, Owain and Loki as an example; when Summoner was kidnapped, why wasn’t there a battle to rescue him in which you used a pre-set team of those five.

If I get Leanne, I’m definitely S ranking her with Naesala
