Heroes: Find & Vote Winners announced!

It’s something we’ve all been waiting for: The results of the Find & Vote event.

At least one of the results may shock you, and don’t say you expected it, either, because that would make you a liar.

Myrrh: Spooky Monster, Azura: Vallite Songstress, Lyn: Lady of the Wind, and Duma: God of Strength, are your four winners of each colour. You an visit the official website here, but will need to access it through a mobile device to view the results.

Remember that these four Heroes will become available as focus summons on the upcoming 2nd Anniversary Heroes summoning event on the 25th of February, 7:00am UTC. The first free summon will be replaced with a chance to summon one of these four winners at random, so pray that you get what you’re hoping for, or be prepared to start dumping your saved Orbs.

Legendary Lyn is the obvious outlier here. Of course, the results of the green category have gone down really well throughout the Heroes fanbase, with many asking how she managed to beat out the likes of Legendary Hector and Surtr, who were the favourites to win in the green category.

Legendary Lyn gained 41, 227 votes.
Legendary Hector gained 38,069 votes.
Surtr gained 35,700 votes.

You might think that it’s just Lyn’s fan-base striking from the shadows, and you would be half-correct, since Lyn does have a large fan-base (see CYL1 results). But it is probably not so simple as that.

A Reddit user by the name of “imminentlyDeadlined” posted an image which could very well explain why Legendary Lyn did as well as she did. Click on the image below, and read on for an explanation.

Basically, many people voting did not know that you could actually move the map to select and vote for other Heroes, so assumed they were limited to what Heroes were available on the starting location of the map.

There”s a definite correlation between this hypothesis and the results due to the sheer number of Heroes available from the starting locations who did really well in the voting, including base Male Robin (available at 3-4-Star) coming 30th, beating out a slew of other popular blue 5-Star exclusive Heroes, including his own Special Winter alt, which may or may not have been visible in the starting area depending on the resolution of your phone’s screen.

When people see they have only Legendary Lyn, Helbindi, Winter Lissa and Bartre to choose from, what other outcome is expected? Hell, base Chrom (another 3-4-Star unit) came 21st in overall votes.

Personally, I blame IS for not making it clear enough on their website that it’s possible to move the map around to choose literally anyone they wanted. It seemed that most knew what to do, but that still wasn’t enough to beat out the combined efforts of people who actually wanted to vote for Legendary Lyn and the ignorant voters who thought they had no choice but to vote for Legendary Lyn. IS, you did an oopsie.
